ohhhh solo ensemble is today!!!! thank you all the poeple who thanked me. i play at 5:00 one hour after school so i will have to stay after. but im soo excited.

We don't have our solo ensemble (though we only do solos in Highschool) until the beginning of March. I'm doing Mozart's Bassoon Concerto in B flat, first movement. I'm so siked! TAKE THAT THERESA! (Sorry, due to a seniority thing I got placed second chair, and it totally sucks.) (By the way, if you couldn't tell, I play bassoon. 3nodding )

Oh yea, and I play clarinet in MB (Eew... bad memories on that instrument!), but I want to go for Drum Major, but I can't get that until I'm a Junior, 'cause it's kind of an "understood rule". Ah well...

Me too. In Band it is bassoon mostly and marching band clarinet but we can't be Drum Major until Senior Year. Ahh the memeries...*stares off into space* heehee, plumes!

This does have a point..
I started playing flute in fourth grade and did that in concert band and marching band (parade) when I entered 6th grade. In 8th grade, I started piccolo in marching band (still parade only) and one song in concert band. Then, in 9th grade I went back to flute for marching and stayed with flute for concert band. Then, I switched piccolo like mid practice for marching band. Now, in 10th grade I am playing flute and piccolo for concert band and did piccolo for marching and will continue to do piccolo until I graduate. Adding to my instrument extravaganza I have going on, I'm learning to play the oboe! I just kind of suck at it.. We're losing our only oboe next year and I was hoping for orchestra I could play oboe since I'm only doing it for a semester/half of a year.
