I... have no idea really... I'm studying Linguistics just because it's fun. But most Linguists do research and I hate research so... about the only thing my degree can apply to is like translating (since I'm Linguistics and East Asian Languages and Cultures, I study Japanese too). I wouldn't really mind that, especially if I can get with a big business or something. I dunno what I'll do, but I'll find something. Just having ANY degree will put me ahead of some other people, regardless of what the degree is for...
Besides, I spent this long on it, I might as well finish even if my major is completely pointless blaugh

that is a cool thought, people who can traslate and are bi linguel are in very high demand now.

That's what I'm hoping, at any rate. Especially since English and Japanese are major business language because they're large business/economic powers. I would learn Chinese too but.. too hard to master. I'll stick with these two as my main languages and study bits of other languages just because I think it's fun. I hope to get really good at Japanese and translating so I can get a good job 3nodding

also it would mean you didn't have to wait for anime to get translated to get a chance to watch it.

-grins- you can model it for me whe nyou move don chibi 'kashi -snugs- but yeah, I had a cosplay of the gundam Deathscythe hell I was working on, molding it from this nifty fiberglass hardbody stuff you can work sorta like clay (is it fiberglass? no clue) but the damned torso busted, putting me back a hundred dollars and three months of work so -shrugs- I just set it aside to work on later, now I'm working on a Lupin the third cosplay.

wink Just my chibi kashi ^_^ I've got a sort of unoficial skit done, if you're interested, Lupin steals Kakashi's "icha icha paradise" manga (one of our shonen Jumps wiht a dust jacket put over it) and the merry chase begins (not to fast though, wiht my cane and all)
