My old tenor is an Evette Schaeffer (unfortunately waaaay beat up (I swear it wasn't all me) - it can't play too well anymore) My new baby tenor is a Yanagisawa. biggrin heart heart heart And I just use the mouthpiece that came with that... everything else I've tried just doesn't sound the same. stare

we play alto, tenor, or bari, and i guess if you forced us, we could play soprano, but we beg you: PLEASE, GOD, NO! DON'T MAKE US PLAY THAT UNHOLY SOUNDING INSTRUMENT! (no offense meant to anyone that does play soprano sax, we've had people say the same thing about Rusty, Hades, and Bari.) (don't ask, unless you go to the "Does your instrument have a name?" thread) Rusty, our alto, is a selmer thats about 15 years old and has a premiere mouthpiece. Hades, our tenor is a brand new conn and we'd have to check what the mouthpiece os. Bari, our bari, is sadly at our middle school crying and was a 11 year old selmer with alternating mouthpieces from year to year. (school instrument.) blaugh domokun

My alto sax is a vito.. not exactly the best brand out there, but hey, it still plays pretty well biggrin I'm not sure what kind of mouthpeice and ligature it has, and I'm too lazy to go and check.

I'm I am a new member. Just joined today. I play the Tenor sax and the Soprano sax. I most likely could play the ther two, but I don't have the money for them sweatdrop . My tenor is a Blessing, and the soprano is a Schill.

I'm new too, and I play the alto saxophone at my high school. ugh, I can't wait until I can get a new saxophone, my parents haven't upgraded me yet from my beginner one in 6th grade. icky. It's a Selmer, and I use a C* mouth piece.

My tenor is a Yamaha, with a Yamaha mouthpiece, since that's what came with it and I haven't been able to get a new one yet. I learned on the school's old Conn though... gawd I hated that thing. gonk It would barely play anything below a G. x.x;;

Selmer alto xp with a neotech neckstrap biggrin
It's a piece of s**t. The pads are rotting out of place, the G# key sticks in the least bit of humidity, and the cork broke off in the mouthpiece. scream I sent it out, I hope they just scrap it and give me a new one.

Yikes. >> My friend had the cork come off his tenor one time after class. He was putting it away and all of a sudden I heard him go, "Well, that's not good...." and I looked over and like half the cork had come off. XD He had to deal with it for the rest of the week, too, until he could get it into the shop. I think he did something with duct tape. XDDD

That sounds suspicious to me...but oh well...
I have a Yamaha, hehe. We got a good deal on it though, our rental fees of the other sax had practcally paid for the Yamaha, and they had a "trade-up" deal, where you could apply your rent to a new sax. hehe

We were gonna do the rent-to-own thing for my sax, but then we realized it was like $400 cheaper to just BUY it, so we did (it was like $2000). I heart it. Slightly random tangent, but I love the little freshman alto girl in the other class. XD She's so awesome. She's my little freshman buddy, but she seems older than a freshman. It's weird.
