Serenity now lay about 1/4 of a mile behind Iro and Ryushi.
Rose sat in the tree holding her breath as Ryushi and Iro passed below her. She fingered the daggers on her belt and took one out calmly. The knife felt cool and sharp to her touch.

"Your 'mentor'," was Ryushi's calm reply. He reached out with his right hand, and pulled a branch aside. "After you, madam."
The smile was enough to infuriate the most tolerant of monks.

Iro, glaring slightly at Ryu, continued treking through the underbrush for a moment before stopping suddenly and holding her hand in front of Ryu. "Stop," she said quietly, "we're here......at least....this is where it's supposed to be...."
She looked around, a small bit of panick in her eyes, trying desperatly to find the mana well that was supposed to lay just five feet in front of them. She took a desperate step forward and tripped over what looked like the broken stone of a well's mouth. "It's gone...." she whispered, "the well's closed...."
((Sorry it took so long to post you guys! Gomenasai! Homecomming week got a bit chaotic... confused ))

Rose jumped to another tree nearer Iro and Ryushi quietly. 'A well....',she thought to herself. Rose edgeing closer trying not to rustly any leaves. Below her she could see Iro trip over chunks of rock that seemed to once belong to an old mana well.
Serenity walked through the trees irritated. "Where did they go", she yelled angrily.
(Its okay I wasn't on that much either.)

Ryushi stood there calmly enough, looking at the stone with only a little care. "Unless they clogged the well up for miles, or it dried up, it's fine," he said simply.
"And if it's like that, that means its been building up ever since getting clogged..." Ryushi smiled a bit, kneeling with one hand to the ground. "All it needs is a.... 'gift'."

Iro looked at Ryu, still mildly panicking. "Unless you can suddenly move four tons of earth with half a teaspoon of mana....this is hopeless....."

Rose gazed down thoughtfully and sighed. "I can barely hear them...what are they talking about."
Serenity grunted as a vine whipped across her face. As she came to the end of the trees she noticed Iro and hid behind a tree.

"You don't need to," siad Ryushi. "You just need to move enough to let a few drops of mana through to trigger the rest. It's messy, though. Not usually a good way to try it."
That was, actually, how people drilled mana wells before they learned to organize teams of highly skilled mentalists to pull the mana out. The uncontrolled explosions were oft the source of many an injury to an overeager mentalist, after all.

Iro looked at Ryu crossways. "Just don't blow us up in the process, please dear...." she shot at him, venomy sugar in every syllable, "I'd like to walk away from here intact."

Rose edged nearer and tried to listen. 'So thats a mana well then...', she thought to herself. Rose got out a dagger and felt it sharp edge. "I better stop them before they get any mana."
Serenity wtched Iro and Ryushi tentavely.

Ryushi reached out with his mind, letting a teaspoon of mana dissolve into pure earthen energy before tossing it into the ground. His mind gave it shape, form, letting it simply mould the earth like mana of its element should. All he needed was a hole all the way down. It didn't even need to be more than a few grains thick. He quickly sent another small bolt of earth energy down after it.
He looked up at Iroka. "And now... we run away."

"Just as long as we don't die in the process..." Iro said, looking at him unsure, "are you sure this isn't going to blow up the whole island?"
((O_o I'm SOOOOO sorry you guys! This is getting sad, me never getting on and all...life has gotten often chaotic latly.....I'm sorry again ya'll.... forgive me!))
