(( xd ))

Nokomei meandered back and forth around the area, she'd already attempted to slip an apple to a pale face's soquili, but instead she made it an offering to the man who was currently munching on one of the basket's fruits. "Ge---gee--oof---ree" she said as she offered it to him.

Oathkeeper snorted and shook his mane as he stood aside her, making charming sort of expressions toward's the man's soquili as well.

//Hope you don't mind if I join in! ^^

What was this? Achak raised his brow as both he and Yei drew near the group, it seemed that the majority of the natives were women while these pale faces were men - excuse him for being somewhat uncomfortable but he wasn't sure he appreciated such an exchange (not that it concerned him though).

Even so, he did continue to approach the natives of the Kawani Village as they presented their offerings to the pale-faced beasts, his brow furrowed as though he wasn't certain on how to take these men, they seemed nice but he was still horrified by how they treated their Soquili.

"Greetings." He murmured in his own tongue as he gazed at the women first and then the pale face.

Yei on the other hand, seemed completely at a loss as she trotted after her two-legged companion and nudged him rather unceremoniously with her muzzle - it wasn't that she was shy but how on earth was she supposed to approach creatures that had metal stuck in their mouths - did it hurt?

"What on earth are they wearing?" She whickered quizzically towards the pale-faces and their clothing, she knew Achak dressed oddly but these people definately beat him on that score.

((With his luck, next Soquili will start calling him 'Ononomiss.' xDDD))

Geoff smiled and nodded with approval, repeating the name she had previously offered, "Nokomei", before pointing to himself and reaffirming his own name, speaking it slowly. "Geoffrey."

In all of the excitement, the young doctor started to gesture, only to find the strange fruit in his hand suddenly missing. "I.." He trailed off, head turning to look at the mare beside him as she munched innocently on her 'find', bold as you please. His mouth went agape as he stomped his foot at her. "You rascal!"

Mmmm, food. Lady flicked her white tail with delight and offered the pilfered goods towards the charming male horse, caring little for the protests of her man. You couldn't be ladylike all the time! Besides, he wasn't using it anymore.. "Want some?" She managed to offer to Oathkeeper, maneuvering the half-eaten morsel towards him as she held it delicately with her teeth.

No sooner had Anpo made her decision to talk to the chief about peace, than she heard the thunder of the boomstick coming from the direction of the village! With a muffled oath the Sioux woman grabbed her carrysack and scrambled down from her tree perch. Once on the ground she began running for the village as fast as she could, praying to Wanka Tanaka that her fears had not come to pass.
A whinny overhead caught her attention and a shadow fell over her as she ran. Within moments, Wambli was trotting alongside her and it was obvious the wind mare was worried as well. "Let me borrow your wings, windsib!" Anpo cried out and as soon as Wambli nodded her agreement the warrior swung to her back. Two strides later and they were in flight, hurrying towards the village.
The sight of the pale strangers and their horses was not unexpected. "Circle first, I want to see how many there are," Anpo asked and Wambli obliged. Then the dark mare landed and Anpo slipped off her back and the two walked together to the edge of the gathered crowd.

James Boyd and his companion were lagging a bit behind the others, as they made their way off the ship. James had a good excuse, the entire ride was miserable for the poor young man. All the tossing and turning, lurching and flailing they did in rough seas along the way, kept him hostage to his stomach as time and again he lurched to a bucket or to lean over the side to heave it's contents out of his body. Needless to say, as they'd landed, James had been MORE than glad to see the shoreline again. However, he'd lagged behind the rest to tend to his mount, and to let the queasy feelings pass.

Now, however he was feeling much better, and gently guiding his companion along with him as he navigated the tracks left by his fellow settlers who'd gone before.

The mare shied as she flared her nostrils, gathering in the scents that lay before her. Her eyes were wide, and her steps were almost as if they were spring loaded, but calm she stayed under the gentle experienced fingers of her master. Her smoken body glistened under a light sheet of sweat, which had formed as she had been taken off the ship. She was not sure of this place, and could feel the slight tension in James' body as he kept a firm yet easy hold upon her bridle. It wasn't likely that she would bolt, but at this point, everything was new to them both. Manovia would keep James safe at all costs, even if that meant bolting with him still attached.

Summer Jessamin peaked out from behind Chandrika. She immitated what Chandrika did, "Jess-a-men" she said, pointing to herself. She then tried the pale face's word, "Je-fffffff..." The fh sound totally messed her up and she simply turned a bright shade of pink before stopping.

*Chandrika turn her face to Jess and murmurs* Did you think they understand we want peace ?

Wambli nickered, drawing Anpo's attention away from the gathered group in front of them. The mare was staring down the path the newcomers had come from. Anpo watched it carefully - was there another stranger on the way?

"I dunno... I kinda think they want food..." Jessamin replied to Chandrika. Then again, these people were so different from her own, who knows what their reactions were really saying. "I have a feeling, though, that they are as scared of us as we are of them..."

Summer Jessamin nodded, "But even though the black snake is afraid of the indian, it's bite can still sting. So we should still be careful..."

"This stuff is wierd," Arama said. "It's only a burden when it gets wet. That's why my master always makes sure it's dry after each cleaning before he uses it again." To Awnae, she said, "I've heard my master call it a 'silla de montar' and a 'saddle'. But when he's around the others, he calls it a saddle, so that's probably what it's supposed to be called."

((*edits post to keep up while saving space*))

"Saddle?" She sounded the word out. "Well what an interesting thing to call it. The humans here might think they're blankets on you. Tell me, is it comfortable?" Looking at the saddle funny. Awnae wanted to know, incase these humans might try and put one on her. The mare walked around the other mare and examined her.

"Sure, it's comfortable for work," Arama said. "I wouldn't wear it all the time, but it's quite nice when I'm working. Much more comfortable than a silly master trying to ride me without it," she said, holding herself higher so the other mare could inspect her better. "Blanket?" she asked. "That thing that masters--er, humans--wear at night to keep warm? It's definitely not one of those things."
