I hate to bring this up, but anyone still up for splitting this thread up? It would be trombones get their own thread and the rest stay here.

paulvgarza you probobly are, and i think they should make all the different instrument sections stickys, to make them easy to find, make them the main sections of the guild along with the other major things. We have good reason for not making the section threads stickied, Paul. Most of the section threads aren't posted in that often, and do you REALLY want to scroll through a half-page of dead stickies? The links are always in the Rules, Banners, Links announcement.

I play the baritone in treble, but I want to learn to play trombone. I have a dream of being able to play (well) with all brass instrements.

Just got a used King trombone today, my very first brass instrument. Soooo cool. heart I think it's gonna take a while for me to adjust to it, though... I'm normally a clarinet/soprano sax player. *hides from the scary woodwind-bashers!* Anyway, I'm hoping to get good enough to play my trombone in jazz band in college, or maybe even next year. I'm ending my junior year of high school right now.

I <3 my band director for switching me from flute to sousaphone! I have 12 weeks to learn how to read bass clef, learn all the fingerings and play. Then I have 2 weeks to learn how to march with it!
