There was a time when me and my friends were driving back from contest, since it was scheduled for during the day, and we were being honked at by a bunch of idiots from that school. They followed us for the most part of the trip.
When they started creeping along side us, I pulled out my Euph, stuck the bell out the window, and blasted a note in the driver's face.

The Pimp Mobile Idiots scream at the Pep Band, but they say we rock and do "ganstah" dances to Louie, Louie and Smoke on the Water. omg thats happened to us at an away game. Two nasty girls came to the away side and danced nastily to every song we played. After a while, one of out assistant principles made them leave. It wasnt even our school. They had very revealing clothes... *gags*

My band practices in the back of the school since the football field is also used for soccer. To our East and South sides of our practice area are roads, while to the West is a public pool (not the school's) and the school tennis court. There's a factory nearby the school so, of course, we see trucks all the time.
In the beginning of marching season, it's common for truck drivers, alumnis(sp?), and students to honk at us while we practice. We cheer in response, but are unable to do so as our first competition of the year starts to roll around. It's a lot of fun to cheer at upperclassmen that drive by when you can though, especially when they seem drunk xd

Well, marching band season JUST ended tonight emo . But, when we did practice, people would always tease us and cheer us and blahhh.
One time someone from the college across the street dressed up like Santa and threw water balloons at us.

Haha a few instances, not so bad as funny
we practice about half a mile from our school and it's surrounded by trees. and we were playing and a little kid heard us and was screaming "I CAN SEE YOUUUUUU!!!!" and we were at attention, but not for long, it was funny.
Then we went to a football game and this idiot came up to us when we were getting in the stands saying "go home losers" and kept saying crap up until halftime, yeah after halftime his mouth was shut biggrin
but before I moved to the school Im at we got cussed out a lot. By our football team, by stupid people at school, even had rocks thrown at us at an away game...

One time I was practicing a song (that I practiced a lot at the time) and some kind came up to me and yelled "Omg! Learn some new chords!" I was too stunned to say anything but I would have him know that I do know more chords. It just so happens that this song only had four. Hehe...

Our main problem is the dumbass fottball team. Our marching band has gotten a 'one' eleven years in a row and they haven't done anything worth mention in atlest four(+) years. It's also very funny that we are their biggest supporters, and yet they throw food at us while we snake the halls. Our favorite joke is, "Are you going to the footbal game?" "Yeah, I want to go see the band."

T i f a We get the good kind of shouters. You know, the ones that whoo at the band as they drive by. Then again, our band has won more trophies than any of the sports teams, so we get a bit of respect. Same with our band. We were walking through another school after Band Festival and we saw their sports trophies, and i remember thinking we have as many band trophies and almost no sport trophies. Our sports BLOW

Ahahaha, you just reminded me of something that happened during Silent Walk (our formal initiation into band, where we learn all the traditions and history and stuff). We were all standing in the football stadium, in our nice outfits, silently listening to our director talk, when suddenly a woman up on the hill above the stadium yelled "HEY GUYS! WHAT ARE YOU DOOOOING??" Everyone was trying so hard not to laugh. And we went to an away game recently and the opposing team's fans were saying all kinds of crap to us on the way to the stadium. There was this one guy who kept saying "Boo!" but more like he was trying to scare us than boo us. It was weird. The best part of that day was when we won the game and as we were walking back to the buses, no one said a word to us. cool
