"I have absolutely no idea, un!" Deidara replied cheerfully. "Just kinda winging it, un! Here, you a pick this time, un..." He stopped, still clinging on Gaara's arm, and watched him expectantly with his one visible blue eye.

"Um..." In truth Gaara had no idea what he was doing. He had never been a welcomed guest to any of the festivals in Sunnagakure and he was slightly expecting someone to point out that the shukaku was walking around in braod daylight and have the whole street deserted. Sighing Gaara noticed a small stall labeled palm reading and fortune telling. He dared to go there so he pointed to the stall. "Let's go there..."

Deidara nodded, and headed to the stalled, pushing under the fabric flaps that hung along the side and sitting down, pulling Gaara alongside him. "You go first, un..." he said, staring at his feet. "I don't like fortune tellers much, but I'll go if you do, un!" He looked back up, grinning.

Gaara nodded and looked at the fortune teller calmly. He smirked, "I don't believe you'll be able to have a pal reading done Dei so I'll get one for myself." The fortune teller smiled and grabbed Gaara right hand slowly.
She inspected the palm lines slowly and clucked for a moment, "To begin with Young Kazekage, by the looks of your life line there was a time where your life had ended abruptly, but if I could put this metaphorically your life may have been put in a drastic depression. By the looks of it you've been able to return to your life more successful than ever as i can see in your career line as well." She pinched a small area on his palm underneath his ring finger and smiled, "I see that you also have an lover near you I can see such signs..." Gaara sighed blushing gently.

Deidara smiled, wrapping an arm around Gaara, and winked at the fortune teller. She chuckled. "Oh, so you have a girlfriend...then that was rather obvious, I suppose..." Deidara pause, resisting the urge to defend his gender, instead turning to the redhead beside him.
"Ne, is it my turn, or is there more, un?" he asked quietly, tugging on Gaara's sleeve.

"Ah... well I will finish and then I'll do you dear." The fortune teller answered and Gaara couldn't help, but chuckle at Deidara's mistaken gender. The teller continued, "As I see in your relationships you will merely have one and it seems you may as well enjoy it... You will have a reasonably long life and now last, but not least... to forsee the number of children you could be having as they seem to be in your future..."
Gaara looked up quickly,"Wh-What!?"
She moved his hand slighty and did what she needed to do. Smiling she ignored the redhead, "Two boy and I think I'm seeing a girl... three? maybe four?" Gaara pulled his hand away quickly...
"That's enough...I-I'm finished..." In the dark light of the booth he was struck red and also slightly disorianted...

Deidara stifled laughter at Gaara's disorientation, as the fortune teller turned to him. "Well, I suppose you'll be wanting the same then, right dear?"
He looked to her, struck dumb for a second. "What? No, un, I..." He stopped as she took his hand automatically, turning it over. Upon seeing an open mouth in his palm, tongue lolling out, the woman let out an odd yelping sound, pulling away quickly. Deidara grabbed Gaara by the arm, tugging him away. "This is our cue to leave, un..." he said, still managing a smirk somehow. "You see why I don't like fortune tellers much, un..."

Before being completely dragged out of the boothe Gaara paid for his palm reading not wanting to be known as the Kazekage who didn't pay for his things. He followed Deidara... "You know you can get your future read without having people see your palm, but none the less it couldn't be helped..." Gazing down to one of the mouths on the blond's hands Gaara cocked his head, "Dei," He was still trying to get used to the fact he was saying the name without being filled with anger and humiliation, "How did your hands get that way?"

Looking down at the Kazekage with a hint of surprise, Deidara grinned, looking down at his palms. "Not too sure really, un. I was born with them, but no one else in my family had them, so it probably wasn't a bloodline, un...methinks mommy must have done something pretty twisted while pregnant, un." He snicked to himself, leaning aganst the smaller boy. "You know Gaaa-chan, I get asked that a lot, but I've never answered before, un. Last time, Kisame-san asked me. I kinda just avoided the question though, un. I just asked him how he could be part fish and if his mom was raped by a shark or something, un!"
((Okay, I admit, I stole that crack on Kisame from one of my own fanfics XD Linkeh's here if anyone cares to look. It's just a drabble oneshot, that one XD ))

Gaara frowned "Born with them... and not a bloodline trait. A lot of people are born with problems these days. Everyone seems to have lousy lives too. I have this problem you have that, he has another problem while she has a problem as well. Sometimes I really hate human beings... we have way too many problems... and not enough of them are solved..." Gaara sighed, "Mothers... I don't enjoy anything about that word..."

Awkward in the seriousness that followed, Deidara let out a whine, tugging on Gaara's sleeve. "Nuuuu, don't be all depressed now, un..." he pleaded, frowning. "Be happy, please, un?" He bent down, brushing his lips across the Kazekage's own., and smiling. "Come on, there's a dango stall over here, un!"

Gaara enjoyed the sudden reassurance even if it were from the weirdo he was currently with. He smiled to himself and walked after the akatsuki member. To think of How Kankuro and Temari would feel when they find ou6t their younger brother was being kissed by the man who had almost destroyed them all.

Already munching on his dango, Deidara handed one of the sticks to Gaara. "Eat, un. It's yum." Grinning around his food, he held the dango stick next to his hand, letting the handmouth take a bit, which it prompty spit out. "Gah, guess it'll only take clay then, un."

Gaara smiled and took a bite. He was picturing Kankuro having a heart attck after hearing the news about Deidara. He was also picturing Temari running after Deidara in a rage. Chuckling Gaara stuck the food in his mouth and chewed. The blond was right the food did taste good. "Your hands are picky eaters... Do you have to feed them?"

"Eh, sorta, un..." Deidara mumbled, shaking his hand. "They don't really eat, but they get annoying if they don't get to munch on clay every so often, un..." Grinning, he pressed his open palm against Gaara's cheek. "They seem to like you though, un. Sandy taste, I guess!"
