You awaken in your duplex after the fight that you recently had. The feeling of the air conditioning making you comfortable. Any wounds you took are treated and bandaged.
You smell a wonderful scent as expensive steaks are laid on the dresser near you. There are about 3 large, rare cooked steaks, very bloody and they smell wonderful. Better than the food normally availible in the cafeteria.
After you have a moment to enjoy the time that you are returned to normal, finding the door securely locked if you try to escape a familar voice comes on the intercom. "Hello Mr. Derring." it says in a smug tone.

Alec awoke with a groggy groan, rubbing at his face and eyes as he came-to. The blood that had been around his nose had long-since dried, noticeable with how quick he was to rub it off. He was surprised... shocked to find himself in his duplex again. What the hell-?
That SMELL.
The teen looked to his side and saw the most tantilizing sight to ever be seen, steaks! So many! He reached over to hungrily grasp one until an all-too familair voice made a chilling fear catch in his throat. He froze, fingertips still placed on the top-most peice of meat.

"Go ahead and eat Mr. Derring, your allowed. I was very impressed by your little display on Mr. Christian." Moreau laughed a little bit.
Moreau continued to talk to allow Alec to eat before responding. "I know you hate me... but I also have the potentional to make your life miserable... or make your life here pleasant."

Alec sat stiffly on his bed, gingerly taking the first hunk of protein into his hands and bringing it to his mouth. Thoughts crossed his mind of possible poisoning, mind-control, something up this man's sleeve but he was starving and his will power was null.
The teen listened as his teeth tore off a small hunk, eyes staring around his room in paranoia. "Ye... 'ave 'eard." He forced his voice not to crack, still completely confused and unaware what would happen to him.

"Work for me Alec, not against me. I'll treat you very well and make sure that your well fed. Your agression against Tommy obviously shows your capable of some very violent acts. Perhaps I need that on my side, atleast an insider in case of another situation like the last." Moreau's tone was smug.
"Of course, if you accept, then betray me, I'll make your recent trip into the wild look like a spa at a vaction. Of course, I can just toss you back out there to make it on your own. It's your decision." Moreau paused and waited for Alec's response.

Alec nearly choked on the small bit of meat that he'd manage to bite off, stomach turning from starvation mode into an ill, noxious and volatile mix. Work for him? WORK FOR HIM? Obviously the implications hadn't sunk in yet, evident by his immediate reaction.
"Huh? Wh-..." The boy stumbled over his own tongue, letting the steak he'd been gnawing on fall onto his lap as he turned to try and stare at the camera that was somewhere in his room. "Why woul' a' do tha'? 'elp ye 'urt pehple?" That was exactly what Alec didn't want. It was what he'd been fighting for that day in the Village. Why couldn't the Doctor, in all his knowledge, not realize this!?

Moreau knew very well about how Alec, atleast upon arriving on the island had felt about violence. That was part of the reason why he had approached him like this.
There was something, god-like in twisting the morals of someone. Moreau knew he held the strings here. "Well, I'd perfer not to hurt people, but certain people here seem to be bent on violence. Consider how much easier it would have been if you'd been just another islander in that situation, and I'd been able to send you to retrieve Aubrey. I wouldn't have had to resort to such a base and violent act."
"Be my double agent, my secret enforcer Alec, and I'll make sure your life here is very pleasent. Otherwise... well, you can imagine otherwise..." Moreau snickered a little bit.

Alec listened, his expression visibly changing as the 'conversation' went on further into a twisted look of suffering. Enforcer, what? He wanted to hire him as a guard dog, like some hitman in the movies? He'd have to do things, and hurt people, and follow orders or he'd do... what?
Horrible things. Horrible, horrible. The 'punishment' was horrible and it had been so mild, so easy to think up. The teen's mind was racing in circles and he almost felt as if he was going to pass out. He could say no, he could... what could he do?
Otherwise. He didn't even want to think about it, yet it gnawed at him from the inside out until he couldn't help but innocently ask. It took all his willpower to muster the voice and yet it was still so small and strained "... Othehwise... wha'?"

"Well if you accept and betray me there are... other experimental and untested additional serums. There are also worse places to be forced to than the jungle. Cages for example, we have plenty of research we can do here." You could hear the snideness in Moreau's voice.
"Of course, this is if you accept, and want to rejoin your friends here. If you don't, I can toss you back into the wild and punish anyone who helps you again."

The sharkboy winced, twisting the fabric of the hem of his swimming trunks in a nervous gesture. "A' don' wan' teh go back teh th'jungle!" He exclaimed in an objection, altogether becoming very confused during the whole situation. "If a' say neh c'n ye joost le' me stay 'ere? A'll be betteh, ye won' 'ear from me! I' 'll be like befo'?" Now he was desperate. Pleading with the doctor even felt futile even as he spoke the words but he couldn't think of anything else to do or say that would help.

"It can't go back to "like befo'"" Moreau said in a mock of Alec's accent. "And for that, you yourself are to blame."
"I won't leave this offer on the table long, it's scrounging for food in the wild, or steak and rare meat every night Mr. Derring. The decision is yours to make now." Moreau's tone was quick, forcing decisiveness.

Alec could feel his heart racing like he was in the midst of some sick game of Jeopardy. It wasn't about the steak. It wasn't even about food. It was sitting in the jungle for days on end watching the sun rise and fearing its fall because then the darkness would envelope everything. It was being alone and afraid and desperate for some poor soul to wander by and find him.
He was selfish. God would never forgive such a thing.
He remained still and silent as he thought all this, mouth half-open as if he was waiting for the words to come.

Alec's heart sank into depression as he knew his time was up. The sharkboy let his head hang sadly as he weighed his options over and over him his mind, unable to come to grips with that exactly was happening. Why's he have to pick on me, anyways. I'm just a stupid kid. He solemnly thought before finally making a decision, though he didn't appear resolved at all.
Slowly, he replaced the nibbled steak back where he found it and made little effort to wipe off his swimming trunks of the evidence. "A' guess a' betteh learn 'ow t'fish betteh, ay?" It was all he wanted to say to him. He wouldn't bother justifying his reasons, it wouldn't matter either way.

"Tchh...." was the sound Moreau made of disappointment. "I can't say I don't think your making a mistake... it's not like I'm asking you to kill anyone." Moreau's tone was flat, annoyed.
Moreau sighed audiably. "Alright then, since I'm feeling particurally generous. Enjoy a good mood enjoy a nights sleep and the food. Tomorrow, when you wake up, you'll be back outside. Goodnight Mr. Derring, look me up if you reconsider, perhaps I'll be willing to offer it to you again. But don't count on it."
