Iro smiled again, sitting herself down lightly, yet still maintaining a tight grip on the water mana. "It just is," she said, "this way we can dodge any whirlpools, coral reefs, and heavy waves as long as we remain alert."

"Alert... great," Ryushi said, yawning. He hadn't gotten sleep last night at all. Eh, it was his fault. He wasn't going to complain. "We'll be dead by dusk," he said, half-jokingly, half pessimistically.

"Well, off we go."

"You can sleep if you need to," Iro said to him, still looking at the water, "You gave up your sleep so I could rest, the least I could do is keep up with the mana a while so you can sleep."

Ryushi yawned for a good three seconds. "No, I'll be fine," he said, resting his chin on his right knee and arm.

He was asleep almost before he finished speaking.

This morning after his son's departure, Kurohana Reitoku was meditating, tucked away in the back courtyards of the temple. Priests went about their business, carying scrolls, refilling candles with oil, and serving guests. At noon there would be a delivery of food for the temple and its guests- thanks from the farmers for the general help they provide with their Magick.

Thanking the archaeologists one last time, Alison headed out into the city. The information she had been given was quite detailed. She was to make a right at the first corner and head down the main street to find the temple. As she walked down the street and noticed the way the other women were dressed she began to feel slightly self conscious. Her heavy black robes did not feel fitting in this warm environment.

Hopefully the people at the temple can give me more fitting clothes. She thought to herself as she made the first turn. Even as she walked she felt a wave of nostalgia. According to the Archaeologists, more then 100 years had passed since her containment. Yet the city still seemed oddly familiar. As she reached the entrance of the temple she frowned slightly. It looked absolutely nothing like she had remembered. Shaking her head she lifted her hood so her flowing white hair fell across her back and entered the temple.

A young man dressed in ceremonial robes of light blue stood at the entrance, on one of the many bridges in a network over the river which flowed from the temple. This priest, or rather, priest-in-training, an acolyte, bowed at this new visitor. "How do the spirits favour you this morning, mi'lady?" greeted the acolyte politely. Behind him, priests calmly went about their business.

Alison bowed slightly to the young acolyte and kissed him once on each cheek, a normal form of greeting at her old temple. "My spirits have been blessed by the gods above and I have been gifted with water and shade." She bowed a second time and cupped her hands and extended them to the sky. "May you be blessed by the gods as well." Standing up again she smiled at the young Acolyte. "My name is Alison and I was wondering if you had any other clothes that I could use. It is much to hot for me to be wearing these heavy robes."

"It would be... more probable that you would find appropriate clothing at a store," said the acolyte, hesitantly. She acted in archaic ways. "Though I'm sure the temple would not begrudge my lending some spare robes. A good deed is not one to be punished." With that said, he turned towards the storage areas. "If you would follow me."

Alison bowed one last time and then followed the acolyte into the temple. "May I ask your name inlightened one? I fear that I am not familar with this temple, this city..." With a sigh she added. "...this era..."

(( Making me come up with a name for this NPC off the fly... xp ))

"My name is Shiratori Keiichi," said the boy, using the customary surname-given name order.

"You aren't familiar with the Geosn Temple City?" inquired the Acolyte, "While the Mana Wars may have destroyed large areas of the island, the temple has remained intact, for the most part, for centuries. It is important to know one's Geosn heritage."

"Even in the wars, when the building was taken over by different places, the soldiers and combatants tried to retain its value. Some made improvements in their own eyes, though it remained more or less the same throughout it all."

Alison furrowed her brows in thought but still could not bring up any memory of the temple. "I am sorry." she said after a moment of thought. "But I cannot remember this temple at all." Like so many other things. she thought silently to herself.

"This temple marks the first mana source we've had," said Keiichi as he slid the doors to the storage area open, "A natural well that flows."

"What size would work the best for you?" he mused aloud as he strolled over to a few open-topped boxes of clothing. He wasn't very good at judging size, distance, and such.

Scanning through the various clothes Alison found a dress that was about her size. "This blue one looks good." She said lifting the dress from the box to get a better look at it. Satisfied, she undid the clasps holding her robe in place and it dropped to the floor. She stepped out of the robe and kicked it to the side. In her nudity she felt goose bumps race across her arm. After rubbing her arm she pulled the new dress over her head. "Thank you very much enlightened one." she said bowing deeply.

Keiichi glanced to the side as she picked out a set of clothes. Ah, good, those weren't robes of high-status, or really indicative of rank in the temple. He turned away, tidying up some things. When he turned around, she was already changed. Keiichi blinked. Had she just changed with him in the room? With an uncertain face he replied, "You are quite welcome, mi'lady."
