 Karthin followed behind her as he dressed himself. When he noticed the look of panic in her eyes he took a deep breath. He saw a small valkyrie running past them and stopped her. "Can you deliver a message to the elder for me young one?" He asked her when the girl nodded he smiled.
"Tell them that Karthin is going out to try and meet the army head on before they get to the island, and that if they send back up we can divert them from getting here in the first place." He told her as he wrote down on a piece of paper what he just said in case the girl didn't remember. He then sent her on her way and walked up to Angela. "I have an idea, but you're going to have to trust that it will work, and if you can;t do that then trust me not to get myself killed." He told her as he moved in front of her. "We can stop them before they ever make it to the island. I'm going to fly out there and meet with them. If I can stall them long enough then we can end this before it even starts." He told her.

Angela ....The Light of the Valkyrie.... Turning on him quick she gripped his shoulders and told him seriously,"You will do no such thing!", she said,"i can't lose you dont you dare be so reckless!", she snapped turning she told him,"Get ready for battle I'll be back in your room in an hour expecting to see you there if not then I'll go out after you on my own", she told him running to her room she put on her arm grabbed her sword and spear and headed outwards to continue her instructions,"Stay here until I return!", she told him taking back off into the wind to get the word to her people.

Karthin stopped her before she left. "It's the only way to stop those bastards from getting here Angela." He told her. He looked her in the eyes. He felt like he was going to have to make one of the toughest decisions of his life. To obey her wishes to keep her safe, or to leave and keep her home safe. He was struggling with his thoughts when she broke his grip and left. He clenched his fists desperately wishing someone wiser than himself were here to help him figure out what he should do. "Why couldn't you have just let me go?" He asked softly as he went back to his room. He had made his choice.
He would have to live with the guilt of whatever came to pass on the island the next day. He couldn't quite place how he felt about it all. He just sighed and waited for Angela to return.

Angela ....The Light of the Valkyrie.... Angela returned within an hour it was 3 hours before dawn and they were already moving most of the people to the top tower legions of angels came and were being sent down to protect the island there powerful barrier magic... this could have happened with the elves if they had known sooner about the orcs but it was necessary for demons were alot more powerful than an orc and could take out chunks of the entire island or destroy it all in one explosion with there powerful magic. She felt herself trembling as she sighed in relief to see Karthin there she hugged him,"We are nearly ready.. I want you to stay in the back lines Demons are have alot of projectiles... we have a special bow for you", she told him pulling out a bow forged with magic by the angels it was made of pure white steel and it shined and glistened,"These light arrows will take out even the toughest of demons you will need these kinds of weapons to fend for yourself against these dark forces", she told him,"Our blades will be activated with our magic there will be a lot of rough fighting today", she told him kissing him one more time,"Come we fly out now", she told him,"If this be our last day then I am glad we leave it on good terms", she told him softly before turning to his open balcony and flyin outward... thousands of valkyrie filled the sky all elders would be in todays fight and she bit her nails worrying for her mother whose strength was so low....

Karthin held Angela close to him as he kissed her. "If you are worried about anybody I can make sure to keep an eye on them during the fight." He told her as he donned the quiver and carried the bow on his back for the moment. He flew out of the window. He tried to calm his nerves. He would need a steady hand to fight properly with the bow.

Angela ....The Light of the Valkyrie.... Angela blinked slowly as they flew out,"My mother please.. keep her protected Karthin she is getting older..", she told him,"I wish she would have retired already...", she sighed,"I just wish..", she blinked slowly wiping a few of the tears away as she turned back to see the troops ready,"Lets go!", she commands her face was fierce and steady as they flew out above them the angels were being led by Micheal one of the Arch Angels and flanking him was Gabriel she nodding respectfully to the two keeping her mouth shut about the heritage of her and her own sister knowing they were the fathers of both of them she then turned her attention to the battle and there was a legion of demons coming towards them they flew out and before she could get closer there was an array of projectiles being throwing at the valkyrie a few of the women fell but not many as Angela shouted out,"Hold the ranks dodge them!", she commands as they all start getting in closer to destroy the angels from above were shooting down light arrows and then her and the legion of angels went in on together as the battle began to take place in the sky!.

Karthin didn't hesitate to start firing back at the demons. His elvish senses kicked in as he drew the bow. He notched three arrows and set them loose. He hit three different demons with them. While he was picking them off he made sure to keep an eye on Angela's mother. He might not have understood why she cared about her mother so much, but he was going to do everything in his power to keep her alive. He let loose a few more arrows as he picked off more and more of the demons. He didn't feel right staying back, but he knew from experience that demons were bad news and so he played his part in the fight to the best of his abilities.

Angela ....The Light of the Valkyrie.... Angela along side her family began to cut through the ranks of the demons while they also fought off with the angels she plunged her spear into more than one demon that morning as the dawn began to rise and the sound of her fallen sisters, fellow angels, and that of there enemy fell into the sea below this was a risky battle because there was no stability one wrong move and you were dead. She found herself so in heated in the battle her hands went faster than her mind at times and she found she wasn't even there in other times but it was bright in the morning and there ranks were thinning because of teh angel and valkyries combined,"WE are breaking them keep it up!", she shouted above the chaos only to have herself shoved as she went falling down to the water she was fighting hand to hand with a demon who was latched onto her screeching in her face as she reached for her sword at her waist.

Karthin quickly turned when he saw Angela fall towards the sea.
He aimed carefully and let loose an arrow that killed the demon grappling her.
He smiled at his work and then went back to firing a barrage of arrows at the army. He was pretty sure he had gotten more kills than half of the angels combined. He saw out of the corner of his eye a demon trying to sneak up on Angela's mom. He quickly dispatched it with a well aimed arrow. He was starting to grow tired though. The arrows on his back were slowly running out.
He wouldn't be able to help them for much longer, but in his eyes the battle wouldn't last long enough for his arrows to diminish completely.

Angela ....The Light of the Valkyrie.... Angela was about to plunge her blade into the demon when it howled in defeat and fell off her she usd her wings to glide backwards and back up as she seen the arrow in its back smiling up at karthin as she soared back into battle! It wasn't long before demons retreated and Angela called chase as the angels proceeded to race after them before long she watched as the last of the demon army was slain not one left.. and she let out a sigh as she and her people turned back to there island on the beach she thanked the leader Micheal and Gabriel,"Thank you we are most pleased you have fought with us today", she smiled at them both as they nodded there heads she noted that her father was giving her a rather proud smile but she remained professional to say the least... they could never have a bond because of what he was and where he was meant to stay. She watched them all leave as she turned her attention to the elders her mother stepped forward and said,"Any willing Valkyrie that can... go and ask the sea to help wash back the bodies of our fallen", and with that there was a great song rose up as the valkyrie women began to sing to the ocean angela joined in as the sea began to warp and swirl and then a couple hundred of the valkyrie that had died that day washed up on the shores of there island and after the song those who were able began to carry there fallen sisters to the burial ground and they were all there as the younger valkyrie had descended from the top haven and began to build burning pits for there sisters as Angela over saw it, while this was in process she sought out Karthin,"Are you alright?", she asked trembling slightly as she hugged him so happy that he was still alive.

"I've been better." He told her as he hugged her tightly.
"How are you holding up?" He asked as he looked behind her to see the bodies burning. He closed his eyes tight. He hoped that the battle would have ended better for them this time, but he couldn't save everyone no matter how hard he tried to. He just stood there holding Angela as the Valkyrie moved about doing something, anything to help.

Angela ....The Light of the Valkyrie.... Angela held onto karthin as the bodies were being set up for burning and then the burning began tears slid down her face,"This is not as bad as it could have been", she told him,"There could be thousands of our brethren on the beach but there isn't we are most lucky", she told him, she then watched as her mother hobbled among st the elders and she felt her chest tighten as she strode forward,"Mother..", she said hugging her as her mother told her quietly,"Angela I have an announcement that I must get over", she then turned to the other elders and said firmly,"I shall be retiring", there was a shock but then after a moment a mummer of agreement as they asked,"Who will take your place after you have went into retirement?", she ask and she turned,"Angela will you become an elder?", she said Angela was quiet for a moment before shaking her head,"Very well we will gather the oldest valkyrie on the island the ones that were not named leader and hold a contest in 12 days from now one of them will take my place", There was a nod of approval as Angela found her heart smiling, she remained solemn however until they all passed and then let out a sigh of relief.

Karthin walked up to Angela after the others had left and hugged her from behind. "What just happened?" He asked her softly. "I know your mother retired, but did you take her place as an elder? and what was that about a contest?" He asked as he was fascinated by the events that transpired there. He wanted to know all about it.

Angela began to fill him in on what happened,"No I did not take the elder position...", she told him,"With our currently relationship it would be no good since I plan on staying with you for a life time and Elders are fully committed to people they may go and have children if they so desire but for the most part they will not hesitate to do what is more important for the people", she informed him,"I on the other hand do not wish to stay separate from you and they do not have private quarters for the Elders they have a master bedroom with 12 magnificence beds but they all share everything", she told him,"I gave them the chance to ask older valkyrie much older than myself the shot of doing such a task and they will ask them in stead a competition will be held and they will pick the strongest of the Valkyrie to be the winner", she said,"The competition is of mind and body whoever gets the most points will be appointed elder", she informed him .

"I think I get it." Karthing told her as he hugged her more tightly. "So the competition is held to pick the elder since you declined the offer, and they do this every time a leader declines the offer to be an elder?"
He asked her. He shrugged a little bit and stopped thinking about it. "Anyway should we get back to the room. You must be exhausted from the fight." He told her as he yawned.
