"Hungry hippo s**t is right," Zachary responded gruffly, scratching at the back of his neck as he kept up his jog alongside the boy. "I fell through my apartment and ended up here which, for the record, is horse s**t, because I have to be at work in," he paused, glancing down at the honest to god watch on his wrist. "8 minutes. So yeah, not sure what I'm going tell Jerry. Sorry, bro, couldn't make it, traffic was terrible, there was some nightmare bridge, and I had to be rescued by a seventeen-year-old in pantalones." He said it with the sophisticated air of someone who had slept through most of his spanish class in highschool.
Perhaps it was karma, or perhaps it was just a particularly powerful gust of wind, but Zachary's heels slipped out from underneath him and he was on his a** again, despite the protestations of his flailing arms. "s**t," he hissed, crawling to his feet, his dignity crumbling as surely as the floor was. "Go on ahead, Breeches, I'll catch up later," he called out to Chara, who was already some amount of distance ahead.
Seriously, what were they feeding these kids?

The path narrowed and the winds rose. Katie winced as it whipped around her, feeling a little too real to call this place a total dreamscape. Was this like the meeting she'd gone to years ago, with the Code and the smoke energy thing that had made her feel sick for weeks? That had felt fake, too, until she was bedridden by her own nasty mood and nearly got kicked from the team.
Feeling a little sobered by the fact that this all could very well be real, she set her face in a grim frown, pushing back against the wind with what little force she could muster. (All these people were having a much easier time of it, in massive cosplays no less, how did that work?)

The wind was only the beginning; something more began to brush against each of Mirrorspace’s unfortunate victims. But it didn’t stop with just touching them; it darted through them. Shadows seemed to be dancing all around and if anyone looked hard enough, they could see something. Wraiths. All around them. Dozens, in all directions, charging through everyone and everything they could reach. They were gathering energy at alarming rates, and when one wraith filled up, another simply replaced it. There was suddenly the very real threat of being drained into unconsciousness; they needed to act fast. Loud, crumbling echoes rang from behind the group as the pathway continued to fracture and crumble behind them. Quote: Mirror wraiths are surrounding you, slowing progress and draining as much as they can! You need to keep moving forward, but you need to get them out of your way! Roll one ten-sided dice to determine how your character progresses! 1-3: The wraiths overwhelm you and drain you significantly; you are feeling lightheaded and stumble a few times. You manage to break a few wraiths, which returns some energy to you; while you are able to keep moving forward, a nap sounds really good right now. 4-7: Swarmed by wraiths, your energy depletes rapidly. You are able to take out a decent number of the wraiths, restoring a decent amount of your energy to you. You manage to keep moving at a moderate pace. 8 or higher: The wraiths attack but you have the advantage; you manage to hit enough wraiths that the majority of your lost energy is restored. Despite them charging through you, you still progress at a fast pace! Rank Bonus: Depending on what stage your character has reached, you may add the following bonus to your roll! This bonus will apply for every prompt! Civilians are the only faction that is disadvantaged by this, but due to the draining of Mirrorspace they are not as effective in this domain as powered characters! Sorry, civs!Civilians: -1 Cats (in Mauvian Form), First Stage Characters: 0 Youma, Cats (in Humanoid Form), Second Stage Characters: +1 Cats (in Senshi Form), Third Stage Characters: +2 Fourth Stage Characters: +3 Please keep a tally of your total points in bold red at the bottom of your post! If you miss a roll, you can make it up, but any late roll will have two points deducted from the number. You can choose to have your character fall off the pathway at any point in time, though they will fall in slow motion and then seem to disappear into a strange black smoke. A later prompt will reveal your fate. You cannot roll for any prompts if you decide to have your character fall off the path. If your character is sticking with a partner or group and your dice rolls would force you to separate, the player with the highest roll can choose to sacrifice points on their roll to lower them to the same path as their partner. For example, if your partner has a total of two and is forced down path a, and you have a total of five, you would need to sacrifice two points to put you at the 1-3 roll tier. This can be indicated with an OOC note to inform us what you are doing, as well as applying the deduction you voluntarily claim in your character’s total!

Whisler“Eighteen hours straight? What the hell, Alya…that’s not healthy, and I know you practically starve yourself half the time. You have to take better care of yourself…I know modeling’s important…but if you get sick…it’s not worth it, love.”
Whisler nuzzled him and then let out a cry as they were swarmed by wraiths. Horrible energy stealing creatures that had the knight almost falling to the ground, though he was at least doing what he hoped was a pretty good job at protecting Alya. “Don’t worry, I’ve got you. I won’t let them get you, Alya. I won’t let anything or anyone hurt you, okay?”
He felt his eyelids drooping as his energy was sucked away and finally he lashed out, smashing a few wraiths with his feet and as the energy returned to him, he continued on, holding tightly to the senshi in his arms.
“…I won’t let you fall.” He couldn't promise the same of himself though, and very nearly took a misstep off of the ledge. Whisler felt utterly exhausted. He had forgotten how horrible it felt to have your energy drained...and he didn't like it.3 + 10 + 9 + (2 + 2) = 26

Kari
It didn't really register for a long moment what was happening. She was continuing to move along the path, when suddenly Kari felt tired. And it was when that realization hit that she realized she was having her energy drained. For one wild moment, the brunette senshi looked around, feeling a new spike of fear, thinking that perhaps it was Epidote or Stella or someone that she knew taking her energy...but then she saw bizarre creatures dipping in and out of her...through her.
"Ugh." She swatted at one of them, and it shattered...and she felt a little more awake. Huh. This might be the one time that she didn't like her energy drained. She kept swatting at the creatures and headed onward, feeling as though she would end up sleeping good tonight...provided she was able to make it home.

Super Sailor Alya
“I’d rather be sick and loved than healthy and nothing,” he mused quietly; he wasn’t sure if Whisler heard him but his voice sounded so soft to him. Alya sort of shrugged in Whisler’s arms; he didn’t even realize he was being drained until he jerked awake. At first, he thought it was only because he’d been so comfortable against him, but he realized shortly after that it was because there were wraiths around them.
In Whisler’s arms, he didn’t exactly have the best positioning to actually attack them but he tried at least. His arms didn’t reach, but his hair did—and, wrapped in as tight of a braid as it was?
They never stood a chance.
He’d be picking shards out of his hair, but that was something to worry about later. For now, he had Whisler to think about.
“Worry about yourself!” he blurted when Whisler seemed like he was going to topple over. “Do you need me to carry you?” he asked; he was tired, but Alya was typically tired—and feeling more refreshed by the moment.
…He was used to it after eighteen hour shifts and half starving himself most of the time.
He was pretty good at powering through, though.

LysitheaLysithea slowed slightly as both Malus and Airi fell back. She glanced behind and shook her head slightly. No…she wasn’t going to keep going and leave Evan behind. She would never do that. “Come on, you two…we have to keep going, Malus, you got this. We’ll be fine.”
It was getting more difficult to keep thinking positive. She was growing very, very sleepy, and it wasn’t until she realized this that she realize there were wraiths all over her. “Oh s**t.” The senshi began swatting and stomping on every wraith she saw, glad that by doing so she had began to feel better. “Come on! We really…really have to go—watch out for the wraiths, Airi, protect him, please.”
She slapped another wraith out of the air and stomped hard on it, still looking back at the two she was traveling with.6 + 6 + 7 + (9 + 2) = 30

Irkalla, Page of Cosmos:
Now that she'd managed to keep her footing while still heading down the stairs Irkalla was certain she could see things ahead. A mental flashback had her reeling just a bit as she remembered the youth that she'd met in the park, the one with the black uniform that was sending something out of a shard. She had tried to demand it be handed over but had been attacked instead. Feeling one of the creatures dart through her was truly an unpleasant sensation. It was with growing alacrity that she realized what was going on each time a creature passed through her, they were stealing her energy. Knowing that it couldn't be allowed to continue the Page of Cosmos began lashing out with her ornament string. She didn't expect it to work but each time it made contact with whatever was around it seemed to shatter.
At first it seemed as if there were too many and she was growing too tired but as more fell victim to a whirling string of ornaments the better she began to feel. No longer physically exhausted she pushed on with fresh, if not borrowed, energy. Anger began to bloom in her mind. Just what was the meaning of this whole ordeal? Who was behind it? Frustration leeched through her. What she wouldn't give to be sitting at home with a good book right about now.
-- (no bonus to rolls)
8 or higher ( 8 )- You were fortunate enough to land near the pathway and manage to get a good head start. 8 or higher (9) - You choose the stairs leading downward; it takes the least energy and you are able to advance quickly. 8 or higher ( 8 ) - Though a breeze pushes at you, you find that you have reached a weak patch of it; it pushes you back just slightly but barely slows you down at all. 8 or higher (9) - The wraiths attack but you have the advantage; you manage to hit enough wraiths that the majority of your lost energy is restored. Despite them charging through you, you still progress at a fast pace!

Sailor Malus
Malus glanced back for only a second when Airi mentioned dusting him. “Don’t talk like that!” he said, not quite frantic but with recollection enough of the sensation that he knew no one should ask for it. “Nobody’s going to laugh at you. And, I’m okay,” he promised. He wasn’t sure if he was, but Airi was much larger than he was, and Malus wasn’t sure that there was anyway he could help, given how narrow this path was.
He heard Lysithea up ahead but it wasn’t for a few seconds that what she was saying even really registered.
Wraiths though, were fairly new to him. Strange creatures that weren’t quite youma, and that Lysithea had no problem destroying.
He didn’t know what they were, but he wasn’t going to let them drain him anymore than they already were. He started kicking at them, trying to get rid of them for himself—and for Airi behind him.
“I’m still fine, Lysithea!” Malus called back; he caught her eye and gestured for her to keep going. “If you think I don’t know how to function without energy, I don’t even know if you know me!”
She knew him. It’s why she was worrying so much. But he didn’t want to risk her falling off because she was looking back; at least, now, he was still on the path and moving forward. He didn’t know what he’d do if something happened to her.

JulienneHe was trying to get her hat...trying to save her had and in doing so, Altais had fallen right over the edge, and it was all her fault. What kind of a horrible guardian was she?
She had jumped from the senshi's arms not a moment too soon, though hardly a moment after she felt suddenly sleepy, as though she could just curl up and nap forever...well. Napping had gotten her into this mess...so it might not be the best of ideas to just...

Frigga - 3[-2], 10[-2], 9 The paths were awful. The winbds were awful -- but this flying alien stuff was so much worse asnd the senshi mqade a soft, grumbly hissing noise before swatting at them, clinging to Kells with an indignant noise. OK, so she wasn't feeling a protective fight feeling, so... "Nyyyyyyeeehhh!" SWAT. Frigga puffed, lower lip sticking out indignantly. "Bad! Bad weiurd thingies! No no no no!" The senshi was ever so unhappy, but it was not as horrible as one of the boys they sometimes put up with. Now there was an a*****e. These were ninny-ninny-dumb dumb poopyheads! "Mister Kells, these are bad!" Pisces - 8[-2], 2[-2], 6
Pisces moved. Her feet pumped, her heels clacked, but she ran and ran and ran for Jeanette, reaching for her with both hands. The winds buffeted her. They were unforgiving, unkind -- unFAIR -- but she pressed on for Jeanette. Her mind wished almost briefly the others were there... But they only cared for themselves. None cared for outsiders.
But Pisces did. She shook her head, clearing the thought. She could never trust or relky on the Zodiac again. They'd betrayed the3 little senshi, and let her remain feeling outcast where she ought have belonged. Where she3 ought have had loving support.
But not her sister. Not., Her., Sister.Pisces' hands almost got to Jeanette, almost reached, and Pisces breathed, murmuring in french almosty inaudibly. "Petite soeur, je t'aime..." The french senshi trid to close her hand around Jeanette's... and then her heel landed on the edge and her ankle WRENCHED to one side, the senshi screaming as she tumbled over the side, and fell into a glob of inky black nothing. Coffinite - 3[-2], 4[-2], 1 Oh yeah. This was not great. The winds were cold on the half-youma's upper body, and he really wanted to slap others on it, and... Aaaand then the wraiths. Coffinite was highly uncomfortable when they rose, and then his eyes went wide, as they attacked. Six arms slapped at the wraiths as he unintentionally screamed, panicking slightly. He'd never felt this before-- a feeling of exhaustion rising rapidly. He knew what it was. It was a firm energy drain. He was tired, sleepy, and a nap was a lovely thought... But he couldn't and finally, meagerly, he grabbed at the wraiths to hurtle them awaqy. Then, he kepty moving, hobbling and shaking. Never again. If he'd been so tired with his blessingsd from a draining, did he not have a responsibility to not drain others? His wares drained, but not so quickly. Not like this. Not like this.Cordoba - 10[-2], 6[-2], 4 "Ugh." A foot lashed out to kick the wraiths, the page grumbling as she made a face, frowning. "No. Piss the ******** off." The little abominations about them were kind of like youma, and Cordoba was unimpressed, even aware of the draining. "Get away." Cordoba grumbled, swatting idly before frowning. When one bumped behind her, the page spunb, anbd applied a high-kick that nearly knocked her off of her feet to hiss. "GOW! Youthrew off my groove!" Becvause running was a groove! It was!.... And she was a salty, salty mood. "Off. OFF. I will ******** wreck you little--" The page finally threw a discus at the lot, huffing indignantly. " Go bugger yourselves." Redbud-Tree Drop like fly! And,Frigga just wants mister Kells safe and they want a cuddlebug for Mister Kells. c: Quote: Cordy and Coffinite are both open to interaction. Also Coffinite is topless and miserable.

Super Sailor Adria
Adria couldn’t help but smile when Lace was so adamant about sticking together; he couldn’t even think of her as being a Chaos cat.
So, when the wraiths attacked, he didn’t think twice about trying to shield her as best as he could from them. They didn’t seem to differentiate between order or chaos, and Adria was certain she had a lot less energy to spare than he did—or maybe her small size was just misleading. He held her protectively in his arms and tried to kick at the wraiths as they swarmed the area.
“We don’t have to worry about sides!” he decided, trying to run through what wraiths he couldn’t break. His energy level seemed to fluctuate rapidly; he felt both like he was exhausted and like he’d just had too many energy drinks taking effect at once. “But since we’re friends,” because, he decided, they were friends, “We’ll look out for each other! And when we get out of here we’ll have to do something nice to celebrate!”

Sailor LacrimosaOh. That certainly explained why the other had rolled themselves from the path. And certainly explained why the other was panicking of sorts. She really looked like she was doing less then stellar and she couldn't blame her. Unfortunately they couldn't just stay where they were and Lacrimosa gently started to lead Isolda back down the path. "I seem to be fairing better then you all, I'm afraid. But I wouldn't worry too much. While I can't say I know what's going on down there, I have the feeling your chibi and other senshi will be fine. Especially with the transformed one with the untransformed one." She hoped that made sense. "I'm sure we can all meet up at the end, so no worries~" A gentle, comforting smile given to the pair. It didn't get a chance to last long, however, wraiths appearing from on high (so to speak). This madness needed to stop. "Both of you get behind me!" she called, trying to put herself in front of the pair in hope she could be the focus of their attentions. It wasn't the best idea, given that they were draining energy, but she wasn't going to let it stop her as she started to lash out to get rid of them. She was doing well enough but she didn't dare go to far ahead. She had two to protect after all. 5 + 3 = 8 + 1 = 9 + 5 - 2 (to stay with her group) = 12

Super Sailor Caia
Waves of dizziness flushed through Caia; he was already being drained by the time he even realized what was going on. For a split second, he closed his eyes—and he almost didn’t want to open them again.
But that wouldn’t have ended well for him or Theodore. The Mauvian’s claws digging into his arm made him yelp, but it also jolted him back into full consciousness.
“I’m going as fast as I can,” he promised, but maybe that wasn’t true. He probably could have gone a little faster if these wraiths weren’t in his way.
Determined to keep moving, he began to kick at the wraiths. He held Theodore up as much as he could as if to try and spare him from the wraiths, but even then it didn’t seem like they were limited to just running around his feet.

Hy-Brasil
Wraiths appeared; Wholly unexpected and completely unwelcome. They fed upon the poor souls trying to flee to safety, including Hy-Brasil. The Knight, though, was prepared. Summoning her weapon she managed to defend herself from their parasitic-like feeding and, in the process, rejuvenate herself to the point that she felt almost as renewed as the day she had fallen into the mirror. Perhaps their appearance had been a lucky one for her.
