“See great minds do think alike.” Sid grinned, didn’t matter if his current date didn’t recognize the beach name, it wasn’t unusual considering it was more of a local thing then a beach you would travel halfway across the world to see. “Promenade des Anglais is the beach from my hometown, we could be there, having a drink, enjoying all the sun and view we wanted.”

"I don't know that I agree... Wishing your sib would not end up here, in this place? Might be a good one. Perhaps less selfish then many wishes, or less personal, but good." She shrugged, and gave him a friendly grin. He seemed nice enough, but not some one catching her interest in a non-potential friend way. She gave a slight sigh, and then considered the rest of his statement. His comment about an air conditioner earned a chuckle. "Well, I am going to assume that would be useful once the rain ends. I woke up to..." She gave a slightly dramatic wave towards the walls that faced outside. "All of that. I have yet to experience this place in tropical heat mode. However, the idea of hot and humid does make the idea of an air conditioner sound lovely." "If we're going to be utterly frivolous, though, how about... a wish for the ability to control the weather and temperature wherever you might be?"

She tapped her chin thoughtfully, leaning back into the pillows. She paused to nibble the cookie she'd taken a little more, then finished it, her eyes gazing at the ceiling. "I suppose it would be in that realm, but a wish for a super power is still a wish, isn't it?" She looked back at him, her brows raised. "I saw no sign that one can't wish for something from the previous topic." She began to wonder if she'd made an idiot of herself coming to this, though. So far it'd been nice conversations, but there was no spark with anyone, and she wondered if she'd even have new friends after this. After all, the conversations didn't have time to leave much impression.

There was no answer for a moment as Tommy blinked at the girl in front of him, swiveled to look for the girl he had just been speaking with moments before, and then back to the girl in front of him again. Huh. "Gemelli?" He asked, raising an eyebrow, though the answer seemed pretty obvious given the fact that Lena and Luka looked almost exactly alike. His own bag of cookies was basically forgotten about already, and went even further from mind when Lena began to speak. He followed her words as closely as he could, and nodded sympathetically, suddenly looking sad. "Ah, yes. I am wishing for mamma." He said, not really helping in this sudden storm cloud of a dampener situation they had going. After that, he was mostly lost. "Ahhhh...." He said, and frowned, unsure of what to say. <********> Was what he managed to come up with, his vocabulary, especially as he began to get frustrated and flustered, limited by his inability to focus.

Dottie found her next partner relatively quickly, though she had considered saying ******** it to the rules and just staying with the one she'd had moments before. Unluckily for Oliver, she had instead huffed out a sigh and plunked herself down right in front of him. "I wish I had some ******** booze right now." She said, while tossing the bag of cookies she held directly into his lap, not caring for having any herself. "Don't suppose you keep a bottle hidden on you somewhere?" She asked, while only sounding mildly hopeful

"Oh, well if it's a beach I'm there." Inoke grinned, settling a little more comfortably now that he had someone to talk to that wasn't acting weird. Plus someone who liked the beach? That was always a good thing. "Anything else you like doing n the beach other than having a drink and enjoying the view? I'm usually pretty bad at doing those things, usually surfing if I'm at the beach." Or getting himself into other trouble, from the fuzzy memories he had prior to being shoved back into a pod.

Adaptable summed the Mist up pretty well. "Not really. I don't mind crowds, they don't bother me, but I don't seem them out, either." No social anxieties to speak of. Zeke wasn't sure where he fit between introvert or extrovert, but he suspected it was somewhere in the middle. "So if you're not a fan, what prompted you to sign up for this?" He sounded genuinely interested, leaning toward to rest his arms on his legs as they talked.

"So, um, wishes." Fredrick was still trying his best not to be too awkward and fidgety, but there was just something about being thrown in front of a stranger that made that difficult. He fumbled a moment to get the bag of cookies open and then held it out towards Melody so she could have the first pick of them. "When I was younger, my biggest wish was just that someone would actually believe me about the kinds of things I was seeing."
He gave a small, uncertain smile. "Guess I got that one. How about you? Any big ones?"

Melody had been starting to feel disoriented after all the shuffling around, but at least her newest partner seemed just as nice as the others. She wished she got to talk with the last one more but the newest one was just as delightful. She reached to take a cookie and delicately consumed it entirely while mulling over the question. "It would be nice to have more friends who knew everything about me and accepted it all and liked me anyway. It's a slow process but I feel like I have mostly made that come true here. Which means I need a new wish..." she tapped her chin thoughtfully with her finger before her eyes widened slightly at a thought. "I think my new wish would be to move out of the dungeon to an actual room, better yet perhaps a house someday." She reached to take another cookie, "What should be your new dream seeing as that one had been fulfilled?"

Fredrick reached in for a cookie himself, biting into it as he listened to her speak. He had just popped the last piece into his mouth when she decided on a new wish, and he had to hurry to swallow it before giving in to laughing. "Oh no, don't tell me you got stuck down there. The first thing I did after everything was find an empty one on the first floor and refuse to leave it. There's got to be another one for you in there somewhere. Although, if the choice is that or a house..."
He paused, relinquishing the bag as she reached for another, then shook his head. "Well, if you're done with that first dream, maybe I'll take it. I could use a few friends like that." He picked at the edge of his coat idly, then dropped it with a shrug. "I still haven't really met many people here though, beyond picking up names here and there. Still settling in."

"I must have really bad timing then. I've been here a long time by now and yes, still live down there... I think at least a year now?" She polished off her second cookie and gave him a curious look that she hoped resonated her desire for another one. "How long have you been here for?"

Why did she sign up? Well that was a interesting question. to find out knowledge, find out about who else was on Deus, all the intel like a good little death hunter person. But to be truthful, even if she didn't like to admit it, it would be nice to find a actual 'partner' of sorts. Someone to talk to, to geek out over things, it sounded kinda nice even if she had no idea how to go about it. But Kammy wasn't about to admit all this to Zeke. It was embarrassing and even if pointing out the truth would make it a heck of a lot easier she didn't want to say out loud she was looking for a permanent team mate. "Well um, you know. Making..friends and like, um, group...guild party stuff." The pillow was held firmly against her stomach and her gaze had wondered off to anything but Zeke. "Cause I gotta find all the information and like, about people. And, well, maybe guys. Actually not guys just people and secrets cause spy stuff and knowing things..." She trailed off into mumbles, her makeshift shield now being squished against her.

"May I have one?" Lin asked politely, and held out her hand for a cookie. "I'm not any good at baking. Or cooking. I wouldn't wish for the ability to cook, though," she said thoughtfully. "There are many more useful things I could wish for. I used to wish I could turn into an animal, when I was a little kid," she offered.

"Guess it could be," Micah allowed. "It's some kind of magic, anyway. I didn't used to believe in magic." The time was up then, and he held out his hand for a quick handshake, ignoring the rule about no contact. "Nice to meet you." Again, he'd been paired with a guy. Micah wasn't sure whether he was being trolled or if it was a mistake or what. Wasn't this supposed to be a dating thing? Still, he wasn't complaining. Yet. He could be polite. "Hi," he said to his new partner, giving the guy a slightly dubious look. Lysander looked like the kind of guy who was way too worried about fashion choices and wouldn't dream of getting his hands dirty. He was also eating the cookies and not showing any sign of sharing. "Mind if I have one of those?" Micah asked, testing.
