"Yeah, I kinda figured that out after she started burning up. I'm sorry, I didn't know she'd get too hot. If you want, I can have her stay inside most days, so this doesn't happen." He looked back over to Mimi. "Hey, does her ice cool her off when she gets sick?" He knew it was risky, but if he merely turned off the aura for not even a few minutes... "Or if that won't work, where can I get a cool cloth? I wanna help any way I can."

"No...it's good she's getting out. If she stays locked up to much she'll never get better or stronger...though I wish it didn't work like that." Toki's eyes had yet to leave Mimi but then they trailed to Kura "Her ice would help, but I don't think you wanna be here when it takes hold, the emotional anguish whatever that ability of yours has been surpessing shouldn't be let out all at once, unless you can survive in artic temperatures." Toki paused and thought it over and then pointed to a door "Go down tat hall, it leads to the room Lady Yami is in, ask her for cool cloth, she knows where they are better then I."

"Wait, but my aura isn't that large, you'll both be frozen!" Kura said, worried. "I could carry her, that way she'll still be within range." He looked over to Mimi, then said, "I'll give it a shot. 15 seconds without my aura, that's my best guess. My reason for risking being frozen? Because she had to for years. The least I could do is try it out. And don't try to talk me out of it, I'm too hard-headed for that." Kura mentally braced himself for the bitter cold, and focused, surpressing his aura, but only by a tiny bit, to see the damage.

Kura obviously really hadn't thought about it, but Toki had an dhe qucikly grabbed Kura and put up a barier, blocking them from the now below 0 temperature. "I've had practice." Toki started "Dealing with her when she's like this. She would be unbelievably sad if you froze, so if you wouldn't mind turn that ability of yours back on, she should be fine now."

Kura nodded, "Got it." He let the aura up again, as he did, the ice disappeared. "Sorry about that, I didn't know there'd be that much ice. I'm gonna check if she's okay now." Kura walked over to Mimi and felt her temperature. She was pretty cold, but he thought that was normal. He went down to kiss her, but thought against it. With Toki right there, he was afraid that Toki'd stab him or something if he did.

Toki walked over and his hand brushed Mimi's forehead briefly and gentally and sighed "Normal yes...but then again...." He paused and stared at Mimi before moving to a corner near the door "I can trust you to watch her? And not leave here till I come back. Lady Yami requires me..."

"Yes, you can. I won't leave here until you return, you have my word, howevermuch that's worth to you. The only way I'll be pulled out of this room is if I'm dead. Go to Yami, Mimi'll be fine here with me." Kura pulled a chair over to the bed, which he sat down in. He ran his hand over her hair, almost like one would stroke a kitten. His calmer appearance was quickly cracking, he couldn't stand to keep a straight face at this much longer. A tear ran down his cheek while he said in a voice that even he could barely hear, "Stupid...Why didn't you tell me before?"

Toki made to answer the question posed but something held him back, Mimi's precense now awake most likelt. He nodded his head and walked out of the room, composing himself for Yami's sake.

Kura sighed, smiling. "Silly, this worries me more. Now rest, ok?" He kissed her, tucking her in. He sat down again, then said, "I'll be right here if you need me." His face was loving, as he was right now, but his inner warrior went on alert. He meant what he said to Toki, he wasn't leaving.

"You're the sick one here, I'm gonna worry about you, and you're gonna get better, that's that. I can't not worry about you, ok?" He laughed a tiny bit. "Wow, today's been one big adventure, with you getting too hot, and you still worry about the guy looking after you? You're one-of a kind, I tell ya."

Kura pretended to think for a minute. "Hmmm... not really. It's just who you are." He smiled, "I like that about you. And on the topic of Toki, I could've sworn he went from wanting to kill me to hating me. I know those things when I see 'em." He put his hand on Mimi's cheeck again. "Do you want to sit up? I'll see if I can find some water in this room."
