Trafalgar was in a state of shock as his head lit on fire. He remembered what they said. Stop, drop and roll! And that's exactly what Trafalgar would do. Onto the ground he went, and rolling quickly he was. He had no idea what was happening. Bad things happened in the dark.

Not quick enough sadly, though it didn't help that the rolling method was not strictly designed for a fire directly on the top of one's head. The leaves down there probably didn't do him any favours either. Still eventually the flames would die out, leaving Trafalgar with relatively minimal damage.
Onyxia kept going. Slowly making her way through the mine field of steam. Visibility was fine, the air hot and moist when it came to breathing. She could feel slight warmth through her boots. "Hello!?! Any workers? Anyone at all?" She thought she could hear a voice, but figured it was more steam. Though as she went she looked around, trying to find any items that may help as well. "Any advantage right Ordo?" Looking to her friend and partner who gave a nod.
Sol woud come across an unusually gruesome sight, though perhaps one a certain professor would have approved of. A dirtier, bruised man sat slumped against a rock, panting having, and sucking on something eagerly. Upon closer inspection, his drink was a strangled Panpour. The Pokemon had perished, probably by the man's own hands, but was being used to nourish his exhausted body.
He was quite focused on the drink, but as he heard Sol's feet, he'd look up. "Could you just tell me if you're a hallucination or not?" he asked weakly. He'd wipe his brow, sweat dripping onto his uniform blazoned by a big R. This was one of the abandoned workers, on the edge of survival!

/COWABUNGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!/
A Vanillite's odd and high-pitched shriek would come from behind and silghtly above Altair; the Pokemon had launched himself off the top of the mountain and was currently trying his hand at sky-diving. Unfortunately, he was coming down to earth, looking for the squishiest landing spot... and Altair seemded to fit the bill.

Walking amidst the steam, Onyxia probably wouldn't even notice the change in temperature, the mist would certainly make it hard to see, but a Slugma would slowly burble to the surface not far from the child. It didn't seem particularly aggressive; but it was certainly there.

Eins gave a low whistle. That hit would have downed most Pokemon, but this Aerodactyl still... well, kinda standing. She was up, was the Pokemon. As the dinosaur wailed and sobbed, the cogs in the Mimikyu's mind would begin to turn. She seemed... well, so young and childish. Maybe a bit lonely, like Eins was? And Nim too, even if the stubborn cultist wouldn't have admitted it. And this one was tough; Eins could be strong, and this one could be tough, and they could keep Nim safe! Yes, that would do it!
She'd back off from the Aerodatcyl, instead scrambling back to Nimrose. Usually, she'd have respected her trainer's personal space, but this was urgent. /Ball!/ she squeaked, wrapping her shadows around Nim's hand and shoving it in the bag. /Ball! Catch it, catch it, catch it!/
Nim blinked, coming back to reality from her odd little fantasy. "Eins...? she murmured, looking at the insistent fairy's behavior. She generally pulled away when the Pokemon touched her, but instead, she allowed herself to be directed towards a round object. Oh right, the Pokeballs Professor Lux had given her. She stared at it blankly.
She... she was supposed to catch a Pokemon. That was part of her mission. She... if she backed out here, she'd never get another chance at freedom. If she flunked out of Akumu, whether she liked it or not, she'd end up right back at the commune. Her sponsor had given her this opportunity, and if she backed down...
Gritting her teeth, she'd nod to Eins. It was the kindest action she'd ever given the Mimikyu. And from her nervous, prone position, she'd throw the ball right at the Aerodactyl.

Starter Pokemon: Mimikyu [F] Name & Level: Eins, Level 3 [Temperament] Lonely Bio: Eins spent most of her pre-capture time haunting a candy store and sneaking free lollipops into the pockets of screaming children. She'd have been content to stay that way but for the will of the cult. Indeed, she was actually caught by Nim's sponsor, and given to the girl in an attempt to give her a step up when it came to fighting. The sponsor also has a slightly better sense of humor than Nim-- giving a Mimikyu a Mimikyu! No one could count on Nim's dislike of Pokémon being quite as... intense as it was, for the girl can barely stand to look at her starter. Nim couldn't even name the creature properly, just giving it a number for a name. For her part, Eins isn't too fussed; humans are strange, and she'll melt her trainer's heart one way or another... possibly by giving it a heart attack, but still. In the Garden of Monsters
For a moment Sol's eyes seemed lost to the shade of his bangs, his teeth flashing in a cheery grin that didn't quite fit."Oh, well that depends my weary comrade!" The boy announced with a flourish of his arm "Do you have anything particularly valuable or useful on you? Because for the right price I could be VERY real." Making his intentions quite clear , the trainer turned extortionist would rub the fingers of one hand together. Oh SURE he'd probably been out here for awhile, and striving to survive altered one's priorities, but that didn't mean he wasn't holding or have come across anything of use to a young trainer on the go.
Onyxia looked around as the temperature got warmer. She looked around saw the Slugma. She would have loved to catch it but she was out of Pokeballs. Sighing she kept walking on, Ordo wanting another fire friend. "Let's keep going Ordo. It's really warm here." With a nod they kept pushing forward.
Onyxia kept searching around as they passed the Slugma. She praying to Arceus for another Pokeball. Wanting to come back with two Pokemon, and not seeming like a failure upon losing the Cryogonal. "Please let me find a Pokeball, I promise to catch another Pokemon friend for the family." She kept repeating those words as she and Ordo searched.
♫♪~ The worker stared right at Sol for a few moments, mouth open and brows furrowed. Finally, he gained back his composure. "The only hallucination who's been as much of a s**t as you are is my ex-wife." He'd struggle to get up, leaning on a rock, and holding the bloodied body of the Panpour in one hand. "So I'm guessing you're a poacher or someone from Rocket. C'mon, fess up, shortie." Indeed, tired and emaciated as he was, the worker still towered over Sol.
While Nim had probably intended for it to be a thrilly and dramatic toss, the ball would clear about a foot before arcing and striking the ground. From there it would roll slowly across the stones, falling just short of the Aerodactyl. While the prehistoric creature blinked at the strange orb however, the steamvent it had landed on would launch it upward, striking the Pokemon on the chin sharply before pulling it inside.
This time when it struck the ground it would rock back and forth, the red light blinking on and off twice before emitting a loud tone. Nim had done it, she'd caught an Aerodactyl!

Onyxia sighed as nothing showed up. She kept the little prayer as she looked around. Moving slowly through the vents, trying to to get hit as she went. "Where could that employee be?" She moving on. Moving onward and upward, cutting through the steam mist.
Sol's ahoge would visibly bend forward, his shoulder's slumping as the man spoke. Damn. This was definitely a 'thanks for playing' moment. Not even a booby prize. Shrugging, the boy would turn on his heel "Oh I'm just another hallucination Mr 'Try-Again'. Have fun with your Ex-Wife!" The boy announced as he lifted one leg up to leave. He'd need have to find another desperate sucker.
Turning around however would leave Sol a perfect view of a Golett blocking his way. Arms crossed, Umbra's eyes would glow in a subtly disapproving way.
"Oh fiiiiiiiiiiiiiine, but my charity quota for the month is filled!" Sol declared, tossing his arms up in the air. The next moment he'd be digging around in his backpack, strapped squarely to Umbra's shoulders, in search of the beacon. When he found it he'd practically throw it at the tired man before him "Just push the button n' go away. Tell anyone anything other than 'he was a perfect gentlemen' and I will find your Ex-Wife. We'll have a lovely chat." If extortion didn't work there was always idle blackmail for the sake of his reputation.
