Cheri could not have rolled her eyes any harder, when the teacher announced the pop quiz. Science was one of the few classes Cheri tended to regard favourably, because of the nutty and wild experiments that could go down, but not today. Today apparently Ms. Flora had decided to play it safe and go with a pop quiz of all things. Shame on her.

Cheri scratched down the few easy answers that she could remember, and then set about to scribbling down a few more that sounded plausible. It wasn't her fault that she could not remember more. After all, she had a learning disability, a certain rare allergic reaction. It's common name was “boredom intolerance”.

Cascade did know many elements but she did know some of them, so she didn't feel totally lost taking the test. She did the best she could though she didn't get the feeling that science would be her thing when she grew up. Cascade still didn't know what her favorite subject would be. Perhaps Cas needed a tutor to help her improve her class work, perhaps that would help her find something she loved that would make her feel like she belonged in this future. Then again Cascade was still a freshling and shouldn't worry to much about it right??

Ugh tests. He hated tests. Getting to the learning was just always more fun. Still he supposed not everyone was as awesome as a student as he was and the teacher needed to make sure that they were actually learning the stuff. He just wasn't a good test taker. He got nervous and second guessed himself.... arrrgh it was so frustrating. Still deep breaths, he could do this. He could.

A few minutes later he was staring at the quiz. He hadn't been able to recall nearly enough. Guess he would have to call off his friend date with Hermes. Studying needed to be done.

Pop quiz? Luxton growled softly under his breath. He had a hard enough time studying for pre-planned tests, but now he had to study for random ones that could occur at any moment? It was as if school didn't want him to have any fun at all. He went on auto-pilot, annoyed at the test and the fact that he didn't think he recognized any of these elements. Well, except for one or two....and maybe that one as well...

Artemus was already well aware they weren't going to be winning any kind of stellar performance awards with this test. They'd paid attention when the subject was previously brought up in class, sure, but it wasn't the kind of thing that would stick in their brain without a lot of effort and their attention had been taken up with other, more interesting subjects. They were just glad they remembered more than ten of the elements, even if they were the super basic things that got used often enough in day-to-day life that anyone would probably know them. Well, they'd try to pay better attention in the future. Arabelle would be understanding of a bad mark here or there, but constant bad grades would probably cause a bit of fretting. It would be easier to study harder than deal with a fretting parent.

Ah man... Vincent did his best to remember what he could. The most common elements were pretty easy, so he started with those. He remembered a few more that had interesting enough names that they'd managed to stick. He actually got out more than he thought he would have, but his memory ran up against a wall long before he was even halfway through the table. He was able to slowly ring a few more names out of his head by trying to remember specific lessons, the uses and such those elements had, but after a while, try as he might, he couldn't remember any more.

Seren blanched at the idea of the pop quiz. Ya, the teacher said it was just to see what they had retained of the elements, but it still put pressure on him. Already he could feel his mind going blank with nerves.

"Okay, this is fine," Seren muttered to himself. He stared at the paper and tried to focus. First he wrote down the ones he was 100% sure were elements. I mean, there are those you learn when you're just a Freshling, right? It's impossible to forget those!

Then his pencil froze. Seren bit his lip and tried to concentrate. When his brain showed nothing with certainty Seren sighed. Guess it's time to start throwing things at the wall to see what sticks.

When he managed to reach 100 elements named, Seren decided to stop. He was starting to feel a bit ridiculous of the words he was coming up with.

He turned in his paper and smiled with a shrug. Seren then sat back down to wait out the rest of the time.

Nereus knew he was impeccable in most things in life. And so a sudden quiz sprung on him last minute was nothing he was too concerned about. He kept up with his studies rather well, always making sure to have high scores and his work turned in on time. So when he started writing away his answers, awaiting confidently at his seat, playing with his beautiful hair, he glanced to the paper replaced on his desk.Others were waiting their papers nervously, and he'd even seen a few attempting to cheat off their neighbors. How disgraceful~ Ah but his score.. Hm.... lower than he'd have liked... but. Still passable.
