|>Mwhehehe... mwheheheheh!<The Gastly hovered there in mid-air, watching radical new comedy duo work their routine. At each joke, she'd giggle a bit harder, bobbing up and down mid-air. The laugh was a bit unsettling, but it was a genuinely happy noise. At the last gag, with the spring-loaded fake eyes, the Gastly would give a roaring laugh as she jumped backwards, floating down through the rock. For a moment, it would seem she'd disappeared, but Argyle would feel a cold air on the shoulder not adjacent to Jekyll. >You and the runty Exeggcute over there are hilarious~ I might just need to stick around.< She lightly poke Argyle's cheek. >You okay with it, short stuff, or do I gotta haunt ya~<
Argyle wouldn't need much coaxing from the Gastly. Considering it had taken up position exactly opposite to Jekyll the message was clear enough. The fact that the Croagunk had slipped down to the boy's belt and was now holding out a PokeBall while giving him an approximation of a thumbs up didn't hurt either of course.
Taking the ball from Jekyll, the young butler would enlarge it and then lob it as if tossing it over a shoulder. Right where the Gastly was floating. It seemed he'd managed to accomplish his mission...but he wasn't done here quite yet.
Starter Pokemon: Croagunk [M] Name & Level: Jekyll, Lv 5 [Temperament] Naughty Bio:The story of how Argyle met Jekyll is a bit of an odd one. After purchasing a bulk shipment of skin rejuvenating mud from Sinnoh's Great Marsh (Guarnteed to take twenty years off your appearance!), Mistress Rosevelt had set aside some time for a fully immersive experience with the product, during which she received quite the surprise. It would seem the mud had come with stowaway in the form of an egg. Unfortunately it was about this same time the egg decided to hatch, splattering the aristocratic woman with muck and eggshell. After a shriek and shrill cry for the nearest Argyle to attend her, Verde arrived and was immediately ordered to dispose of the creature, although not before cleaning up the mess it had created. Whispering a snide remark just below his breath, both Mistress and Argyle were in for a surprise when the newly born Croagunk began to snicker devilishly. It seemed the Poison-type had heard the boy, and shared his sense of humor. Amused by this fact the young Butler then went about the task of convincing Mistress Rosevelt that the Croagunk would be quite useful in his regular duties, allowing him to make the manor to "shine as radiantly as you do Mistress Rosevelt". Little more in the way of convincing was required on the boy's part, and so he obtained his first and for the time being only Pokemon.
Since then Jekyll has proven a good match for Argyle, frequently snickering at the boy's comments be they made aloud, or simply implied. Unlike Argyle however Jekyll does nothing to hide his wicked nature, frequently mocking others quite openly and then laughing about it. Though cruel he is not crude, and more than willingly to amuse himself by catching the enemy off guard. |>Mwhehehe... looks like this is gonna be a ball~< With that, the Gastly would float right under the Pokeball, and bounce herself against it. In a flash of white light, she would disappear into the item... it bounced, and landed right on his shoulder. Both his missions were completed... so what was he still doing here?

Argyle smirked as took the ball and placed it into his coat pocket. He'd release her later...and think of a name. First he needed to continue forward. His mission might have been complete but he'd be damned if he wasn't going to see what was at this end of all this rubble.

Argyle could see it now, at the end of all this rock....was another rock; but more importantly it was many times bigger than the rest. Probably a hunk of the meteor that had caused....whatever this place was. Really he was surprised they didn't have scientists researching this place. Or did they already know what was here and simply not care? Well he was about to find out for himself....

>Oh no... oh no oh no oh no oh no...<
An Elygem scurried by the pair, arms of full of all kinds of scrap and debris. He paused, staring at boy and Croagunk with wide eyes. What were things like them doing here? Didn't they know? Couldn't they know? >You two need to get out of here!< he wailed, bobbing his head in an agitated manner. >It's not safe! it's not safe for anyone! Especially for things like you...< he shuddered, imagining what could happen if the two of them got to the top. >You don't understand what's up there... if that thing sees you... oh gosh, oh gosh, OH NO!< The thought was almost too frightful! He leapt off the rock, the movement causing to drop some of his items. >YOU SHOULD RUN!< he wailed.
Well, that left Argyle and Jekyll with some options: should the Elygem be heeded? Should they keep going? And what had he dropped, anyway?

Alice sighed as she watched the Ledyba fly away. Ah well... she needed to learn how to be quieter. Admittedly, this was her first time trying to wade through hip-deep water, so perhaps she could be forgiven. Scooping up the floating Cheri Berry and putting it in her basket, she'd return to the lily-path and hoist herself onto the greenery. She'd shake herself off one more before resuming her hoping route.

The cold was starting to get to her. Alice kept trying to remind herself that it was a new experience, and therefore she ought to be more grateful, but when you're shivering while trying to hop from one floating piece of foliage to the next, it's hard to keep things in perspective. At least the humidity was helping keep her warm... if in a mildly uncomfortable manner.

At least this was a good way to train her balance! Alice thought back to when she was "growing up"-- that period in which her consciousness had been transferred into a bigger and more complex body. The first time she'd tried to stand up, she'd crashed right into a wall (misjudging how far away it was) and broken a table. Nowadays, she had a better hang of it, but things like walking were always a bit odd for her. Here, she had to concentrate as she jumped.

Jekyll would shake his head at the fleeing Elgyem, not that he thought it was a coward or anything. Some things just ran. No it was the fact it expected Argyle to heed a warning he wouldn't be able to understand. No the boy's focus was probably...
Just as Jekyll began this thought, Argyle would dart forward, dropping to his knees and promptly attempting to inspect the things the Psychic-Type had dropped for anything of value and/or within easy reach. Waste not want not was the servants way! Didn't help that the wealthy tended to dispose of things they'd owned for all of ten minutes.
Taking the ball from his coat pocket the boy would toss it over his shoulder to release the Gastly he'd just caught. "Sybelle..." He began, apparently he'd already selected her name "...keep a lookout." After the incident with the Kirilia, and at least understanding the Elgyem appeared to be running, Argyle was not about to trust this place.
">Mwehehehe<" The Gastly snickered ">Where do you want me to keep him? You're the one with the pockets!<" Out all of six seconds and already Jekyll was finding himself being challenged for the role of comical relief!
">He means tell us if you spot anyone<" The Croagunk called out, jumping off Argyle's shoulder to help with the searching. They probably didn't want to longer long.
">Than I'll need polkadot paint<" The Gastly stated in a surprising direct tone.
">Why<" Jekyll asked, looking over his shoulder curiously.
">Mwehehehehehe~! How else am I supposed to be a spotter?<" She snickered impishly before turning around. She may crack wise, but that didn't mean she was stupid. Besides this was her home. she was well aware it was a little....odd at times. Not always the best odd either.

As Alice made it deeper into the bog she'd find herself met with a familiar sight. A Shelmet. Unlike the one before though this one was laying out in the open, sunning itself on a Lilypad as it snoozed. ">Snrrrrgk.....abububububub....<" It snored, it's shell clanking repeatedly each time it exhaled. It didn't seem like it was up to attack them, but that didn't mean they couldn't take the initiative this time! It was all up to Alice...or Vorpal if the sword was feeling impatient!

That Revenge attack had been strong enough to cause the Barboach to go flying through the air and hit the water again with a loud SPLASH. Resisting the urge to cry, the fish then looked mad! ">Ouch! That hurt!<" he yelled. Diving into the water towards the bottom, he began swirling faster and faster digging in the mud. When he gathered enough for it to be loose, the pokemon then slapped at the water with his tail. This was his way of using Mud-Slap!

Glaive frowned a bit at the barboach's complaint, although he was honestly surprised that the Pokemon was conscious at all after such a hard hit.>"And you didn't think it'd hurt for me to be slammed into?"<the pawniard asked, more to himself than anyone else, as he quickly moved to a different part of the area. He couldn't see what the barboach was up to, at least not until a bunch of mud started flying out at him, but he didn't want to stand there like some idiot.

((Lol the choice is yours~ oh sorry, since you haven't caught a pokemon before, you can only toss a ball on your attack turn))
The Mud-Slap had been successful! The Barboach looked happy once more. Letting out a laugh, he then dropped under the water swimming back and forth in different circles, trying to evade whatever was coming next as a defense!

With Glaive getting struck quite hard with the mud, Alexander was stuck with a decision to make. Risk another round, or take the easy way out. Actually, it wasn't much of a decision. So, the boy grabbed one of the empty pokeballs he had with one hand while pointing to the area of churning murk with the other."Help me keep a bead on it!"the boy called out, then waited a moment for Glaive to move towards the mud fish and help pin down where it was before tossing the ball at the creature. If it worked, he'd have another hard decision to make, but this one was easier than risking any more damage done to his pawniard so early in the journey.
