Flurry stepped towards the three trainers, growling. He knew they had to have more pokemon on them. "Flurry!" Arezu yelled out, putting herself between the prowling Wispard and its prey. "What-" She paused a moment, her mind catching up. Wispard hunted spirits, souls. That was why she had gotten the paper lantern. But this... "That's enough! Arezu dashed the lantern into the ground, crushing it under her foot. "No more, Flurry! It's okay...it's okay..."

Flurry's growling slowed, though his tail continued to whip furiously. His gaze darted back and forth from the pile of whimpering humans to Arezu's burnt orange eyes. The rumble in his throat quieted, his tail still aside from a twitching of the tip, his eyes rested on Arezu's. "There. Hey, it's okay. I'm sorry, I didn't realize doing so many at once would be too much. It's okay," she said again, reaching out a hand and placing it on the Wispard's head.

"..." Sham watched from Suicune's back as Flurry turned from the trainers. The Arezu said something he couldn't hear, and suddenly they were scrambling away. Sham whined, pawing at Suicune's mane, but the legendary made not a step forward. The Arezu muttered something else to Flurry and then stepped away. Sham immediately flung himself from Suicune and ran to his brother.

Sham suddenly shied as he approached. "F-flurry...?" When Flurry finally turned his far-off eyes to Sham, the pup felt himself go cold. "Sorry. Sham. I..." A warmth burst inside Sham. "Don't do that!" He yipped, getting on his hind legs to slam his scaled forepaws into Flurry's side.

"...or what?" When Sham looked back at his brother, that faraway look was gone, replaced with a mischievous twinkle. Sham's heart soared. "Or I'll beat you up!" he exclaimed, heaving himself up to Sham's back.

Shiisa and Suicune watched from afar, both smiling at the sight of Sham and Flurry play fighting. It was exciting, also, that Flurry had managed to evolve, although worry still lingered. Suicune turned at the sound of footsteps. "Sorry. I didn't realize that taking in so many spirits at once would be hard on him." Suicune shifted his gaze to his sons and nodded slowly, forgiving.

Once everyone had settled down, Arezu decided to allow all of her pokemon to play until evening. It was the last night of Tanabata and she still needed to play games, but she figured a bit of rest couldn't hurt.

"Uh, hey. Do you wanna battle?" Arezu turned to see what looked like a bug catcher in the grass. Well, this place was known for its bug pokemon. She considered saying no, but the effect of her Taiko drum hadn't worn off yet, and maybe a good, normal pokemon battle would help Flurry. "Okay, sure."

When the bug catcher sent out his leavanny (lv 35), she almost felt bad for him. Almost. "Fire Blast, Flurry!" It was incredible how strong the little guy had grown in such a short time. He unleashed a blast of fire that positively scorched the poor Leavanny, causing a one-hit KO.

"Wow! You're like, super strong! Okay, next up is my Scolipede (lv 35)! Go get him, buddy!" Arezu was pretty sure she could just push the fire advantage for this entire battle. It wasn't quite enough to knock out the Scolipede in one hit, but its poison tail attack glanced right off Flurry.

"No way! Why didn't it do anything?" Arezu almost explained it to the boy, but he seemed to actually get more pumped, so she kept quiet. "Go Heracross (35)! Use, um...Aerial Ace!" The boy snapped his fingers when the attack did nothing. Flurry's second fire blast sent the Heracross back to its ball.

"This time we've got it!" the boy exclaimed, sending out his Masquerain (31). Arezu grinned, getting the feeling he was on the right track. "Flurry, Fire Blast, hurry!" Her use of the word hurry egged the boy on. "Go, bubblebeam!" When his Masquerain's attack did damage, the boy jumped up and down excitedly.

"Go! Aqua Jet!" The boy's pokemon managed to get in another hit before Flurry finished it off with a fire blast. "Was that your last one?" Arezu asked. The boy nodded as he returned his Masquerain.

"Hey that was really great! I've never fought against someone so good before! Do you...would you mind if you...um...signed my net?""...sure?" Arezu smiled lightly to herself, bemused, as she signed the handle of the boy's net. "Woooaaah, so cool! Hey! I'm gonna go get my friend! She loves strong pokemon!" Before Arezu could say anything he'd dashed off.

When the boy came back, he had a cute girl with him. "C-can I battle you too?" Arezu nodded. Apparently the boy had clued her in, because her first pokemon was a Quagsire. "Hmm, this might be tough." The girl seemed to take strength from that statement. "Use water gun, Quaggy!" It appeared the girl didn't know a ground move would work just as well...
