It's better to live with their whispers than with nothing at all..."It was difficult to understand all of the intricacies of the possession of a demon; Haruto had finally finished thinning out and routing the herd of Ganesha threatening Chag-ri-la, but he had spent so much energy dealing with so many demons that he had become drained of energy almost entirely. Collapsing near the front of his Capitol, he nearly found himself victim of an Alioth Spore when who else but Mandingo Effin' Pendragon appeared and tackled him away from the entrance to Haruto City and drug him inside to the safety of the other side of the doors!

He was clearly in danger, though he hadn't known it at the time, and her help was nothing if not timely. "I'll clean up the demons in the area. My name's Shinpachi Saitou, by the way. If there's something I can do to return the favor in the future, please feel free to ask." Saito wasn't perfect, and having people fill in the blanks was a great way to show the true power of teamwork. Saito was sad that he'd put others in harm's way again, but he was determined to become stronger for them as well. If he could gain strength, he could protect those who were protecting him. ~Shinpachi Saito, Master of the Dark Persona~"Another spore. I'll handle this one." Saito drew his sword and motioned for the JPs team to move on, eyeing the explosive and yet poisonous foe. It wasn't innately threatening, but it was also more dangerous than many of the opponents they'd encounter elsewhere in the city. And the wind was picking up in Okina, which meant that killing these spores was more important than ever...otherwise the neurotoxins could be blown into an inhabited area, and the casualties would increase. I don't believe we're currently Alioth's target, so efforts should be put towards securing the other cities." Saitou kept his report concise once again, but even throughout the parts that directly addressed Alioth Yamato never even glanced up from the paperwork, sighing and skimming through the notes with a curt stare that could have been misinterpreted with the look of the dead, were his lungs not still moving. "Thank you, that will be all." Hotsuin finally finished the notes and offered a quick wave of his hand to show Saito the door, which the member of the Okina team took as his sign to leave. He wanted to share a room with the head of JPs about as much as the cold individual wanted to share it with him, and so their conversation which might have taken longer if it were someone like Sako, or Wakui, ended quite briefly. ~Shinpachi Saito, Master of the Dark Persona~"Look, more demons." Saitou motioned and the JPs men ran forward to engage them ahead of their interim leader. They were getting some training in, and he was glad to supervise them in order to minimize injuries and make sure that they were getting the power that they really wanted to. He could see some flaws in their fighting styles, and tried to offer tips here or there so they could improve, but the demons weren't really a threat as long as they watched their steps. ~Shinpachi Saito, Master of the Dark Persona~"Training is called off. Alioth's hovering nearby." Saitou motioned for the team to retreat when he realized that they were under threat of attack. The crew knew better than to push things if someone with more experience warned them otherwise, and so they were quick to fall behind him and retreat towards base while Saitou kept his eyes on the sky. A spore fell, and out popped several demons to protect it as Saitou sighed, summoning Titania. He needed to defeat the demons without drawing too close to the spore, and at the same time protect the men who were falling back...a task with two sides to it, but one he felt he could manage in the end. Saitou kept a fan in his waistband in case the two of them met again, and now he knew he'd need it again. He let the fan flutter out, and began dancing with the moves he'd practiced earlier in mind, trying to offer the best performance he could for the so far thoroughly unpleased god. It wasn't that he felt that he'd be the tipping point, but he felt better giving it his all, and Shiva seemed to respect his attempts, even if they weren't particularly entertaining to him. Hopefully this would be his last attempt...and hopefully it would be the one that tipped the scales and earned the god's trust for humanity's sake. Once again Alioth seemed very pissed, and Saitou was at the center of the carnage as the Septentriones tried it's damndest to eliminate him. Apparently he had pissed off the Big Dipper some time in his previous life, and now it was trying to get it's revenge in every way it knew how.
