When the man sat back down she tore her gaze from the window which was slightly frosted over from the severe temperature change. She caught her sliding drink gently before bringing it to her lips and blowing on it. When he introduced himself, she cringed internally but set down her drink. "My name is Alice." She stated, nodding her head in acknowledgement of his name. She was about to ask where he got his name, but quickly remembered that he mentioned his Asian decent already. Tapping her fingers on the table, she cleared her throat, uncomfortable with this silence. "So what are you drinking?" She asked finally raising her eyebrows at Jun's cup. ━━━━━━━x x━━━━━x x━━━━━━━━━━━━━━x x━━━━━x x━━━━━━━

Jun Lee  ====================================================================================================================================================================================================================== "Hm...well it's lovely to meet you Alice, though I doubt you can say the same for me" He would sit there folding the money in silence a moment, waiting for his tea to cool. He sat there silently staring down at the table as he fiddled with the money. He'd take a sip from his black tea before she asked him what he was drinking, catching him off guard as he dazed off for a moment. "Hm? Oh? It's just some black tea." He'd say as he'd look down at his cup, his hands slightly turning the cup around in circles, sitting in silence for another moment. "How's your espresso?" He'd ask trying to make small talk as they sat together.

She simply shrugged at his comment about meeting him. "I don't know you yet." Alice leveled, warming her hands around her cup. She was a coward when it came to eating or drinking hot things since she was always scared that it was going to burn her. The blonde blew on it some more, still unsure whether or not it was safe to drink. Tea? How like someone so calm to drink tea. Personally she hadn't had any good experiences with tea, but thankfully no bad ones either. She'd only tried it twice but was never impressed so she stuck with coffee. When Jun asked how her espresso was she cracked the smallest of smiles. "I haven't tasted it yet," She said lightly, "but I can tell you what it will taste like. It'll taste bitter, or rich as the coffee connoisseurs would say, and it won't take long before I feel an energy rush." Alice looked down at her cup, deciding that it had cooled enough. She brought it to her lips and took a small sip, testing it, before taking a larger gulp. "I was right." He'd chuckle. "True, I suppose you don't know me yet." He'd say with a very small chuckle, almost inaudible. He'd sit for a moment watching her blow on her coffee as he finished folding one of the bills into a crane. Nothing spectacular. In fact it was the only thing he knew how to fold. One of the few memories of his mother that stayed with him. He'd take a few more sips of his tea while he listened to her statement about her coffee before finally taking a sip. "Well, I've never been a big fan of coffee. I don't know why, this tea that I'm drinking is just as bitter, but for some reason it just doesn't resonate with me." He laughed inside himself as he figured that he's probably fallen into some stereotype as he just folded a crane and is drinking tea.

Alice watched as he folded his money crane. Origami was something she never could do. In middle school, her whole grade went through an origami hype where all of it's informative books were checked out from the library and shared among classmates. She'd had plenty of people try to show her but it was something she could never do right. Something about neatly folding the lines and making sure everything matched up. After all, Alice was a very messy person. "I've never been a big fan of tea so..." She shrugged, a glint in her eyes. He would casually slide the crane across the table to her with one hand. Looking up to her. "Well. might I ask what you are a fan of?" He didn't want to ask her personal questions, but why not. It was a shallow enough of a question. Right? He didn't know really what else to say. He wanted to keep talking, she was interesting, a little brazen perhaps but she still intrigued him. He'd take a larger drink from his tea now that it had cooled slightly. Tea always relaxed him and made him slightly happier. Just his small piece of paradise in a cup. ======================================================================================================================================================================================================================

She gave a sharp 'HA!' at how silly that sounded. Shaking her head she finished her espresso, licking her lips afterwards. Sighing she pushed the cup a little ways away from herself, a habit when she finished doing anything. "What about you?" Well, he better not get too ahead of himself, but he was glad they were making some small talk. Then she had to go and ask him what he liked. Not like he had a problem with it, but it for sure was one way to kill a conversation, he knew what he was interested in bored most people. "Well I'm glad you said you like plush beds, because you're going to need find one if you want to know what I'm a fan of." He'd chuckle, but he was just slightly serious. "Well...I...enjoy Philosophy, Martial Arts, and Cooking...as well as tea" He'd look at her with a half-worried smile and shrug. He wasn't expecting a good response to that answer, internally his eyes would roll. At his reply, she actually chuckled. It was weird how quickly she was warming up to this man, but then again it was hard not to when he was so polite even when she insisted on being a b***h. She thought back on what he said. Martial arts, huh? That would definitely explain his build. She was impressed since she never got on the whole exercise train and secretly applauded anyone that could stick with it. She may have an addictive personality but it could never get her to work out. She raised an eyebrow when he said that he also liked to cook. Mostly when she cooked it was out of necessity for her brother. She hadn't thought of it as being an enjoyable thing. He blinked twice at her response. He was taken back for a moment as she didn't seem to blow off his reply. Most people don't know what to say to his hobbies, usually they think he's very boring. Even if she thought he was a little boring that was a better response than most the time. This was very surprising, he didn't think anything would interest her at all. "Well when I was growing up, the other boys and I would have to rotate kitchen duty, so I usually had to help prepare a meal that was quick and easy to do for a large group. It usually amounted to stir-fry, some type of soup or broth, rice, or noodles. I took to it quite well, however it's much nicer to cook for myself or someone else, I can actually focus on the details. Sorry, getting side-tracked..." He'd say realizing that he was reminiscing too much "Well I can cook some salmon, curry, and a mean ramen dish. I stick mostly with Asian dished because that's what I'm accustomed to." As he explained her curiosity grew. Funny how she liked to know everything about everyone else but never reveal anything of her own. The way he said "growing up with the other boys" led her to believe that Jun was an orphan. Isn't that what happened in an orphanage? The children cooked the meals? Whatever his past situation it didn't matter to her. Alice wasn't a fan of the past - with anyone - so she tended to avoid it. After he ticked off the ones he personally likes to make she nodded in acknowledgement. It wasn't going through one ear and out the other. Yet again that surprised him. He himself was proud of his culinary abilities but usually people didn't care. Most people that cooked at a restaurant here only did it for the money, they usually didn't enjoy cooking. So it was surprising that she was actually listening. "Well maybe sometime I could cook a meal for you. That is unless you think I'm completely boring and walk out the door with the intention of never seeing me again." He'd chuckle making a small joke of himself. "So what do you like to do for fun?" He'd ask curiously She seemed like she had some interesting hobbies, or things to do. It was nice being able to sit down with someone and have a decent conversation despite his mistake earlier. He found it quite pleasant. He was use to being alone and become almost too accustomed to it, so it was nice to be able to sit down with some sort of company. ======================================================================================================================================================================================================================

She would mention having a "cleanse", he clearly didn't know the details but got the gist of what she was saying, he knew that it was probably a road that would be safer to not travel down.He'd smile lightly to her response. "Stupid TV Shows? If you admit they're stupid then why watch them?" He'd ask teasingly but somewhat curious to know why she would keep watching them if she didn't like them. "To be honest you seem like someone who would enjoy reading if you gave it a try" He would shrug. "Call it a hunch but you seem like an intelligent person, i would think books would resonate with you. Then again I just met you, so I'm most likely wrong." He probably was wrong, for all he knew she was dyslexic and despised reading, but she did seem like a person who could learn very quickly, she just seemed intelligent to him and he didn't know why, or how to explain it.

Sleeping with stuffed animals was stupid but she still did it sometimes. She could think a lot of things but when it came to her heart, it didn't give a s**t what she thought. When Jun mentioned that she looked like someone that liked to read Alice adopted a thoughtful look. "Well. I used to actually. But..then I just kind of faded out of it."
