Steve let out a soft chuckle hearing Natasha's tease about him being 'not that old after all'. "Does that mean you're going to stop calling me grandpa?" It was fine when Tony called him it, but it didn't sit right hearing his own girlfriend call him it even if she was only teasing. It made him feel old and perverted inside. He wouldn't tell her though. The Captain embraced Natasha into his strong arms, kissing her shoulder lightly. "We should go home then," he said. "Don't want you catching a cold or nothin'." With a warm smile, Steve lifted the redhead up with ease and began to walk with her through the sand to his motorcycle, which was parked near the dock. Their clothes were also there. He dropped her lightly onto her feet and dressed himself in his jeans, converse and white dress shirt deciding to leave it open. He would have to dry off somehow. As for his black dress coat, he decided not to wear it. "You ready?" Steve asked with raised eyebrows when she was fully dressed as he straddled his Ducati.

Natasha opened her eyes to look at him before she shook her head."Nah,I like to call you Captain more." A smirk appeared upon her face before it turned into a smile when Steve kissed her shoulder."I won't catch a cold."Natasha let Steve lift her before the two made their way to his motorcycle,once Steve gently dropped her onto her feet.Natasha quickly wore her clothes back,it was a total mess now but she didn't care about it. Natasha wore the helmet then sat on the motorcycle behind Steve,wrapping her arms around Steve."Yes."She said with a small smile.

Steve sped off. The time was very late, almost 12:30AM. The strong wind air dried his short hair and dried his jeans as well as his torso. The traffic was even worse now that it was so late. By the time they got back to the apartment it was nearly 1 o'clock. Steve got off first before he helped Natasha off, smiling all the while. "We should do that again one day. Perhaps some time in the summer months." He chuckled, curling an arm around her neck as they made their way into the front lobby. Once they reached the elevator, Steve bent his head down and placed a soft yet passionate kiss against her full lips, bringing his opposite hand to her throat. His lips moved perfectly along with Natasha's as the kiss grew stronger, his hand slowly moving around to the back of her neck where he squeezed it gently, his other arm wrapping itself around her thin waist. He soon pulled away, licking the lip gloss off his lips. "Are we going to do this every time we're in an elevator? 'Cause I really don't mind it." He grinned childishly as he laughed, his blue eyes crinkling.

It was really late but Natasha wasn't really tired,her legs hurt a bit because they walked a lot but it was fine.Natasha could feel his bare stomach as Steve drove towrads their apartment, she hoped that Steve didn't mind it. It took them a while before Steve parked the motorcycle,Natasha got off it and took her helmet of then followed after Steve.Soon the two of them entered into the elevator and without wasting another second Steve kissed her passionatly,one of his hands were on her throat and the other was on her waist. Natasha placed her hands on his shoulders as she kissed him back,moving her lips with Steve. After a moment Nick broke the kiss."Yes,we're totally going to do it every time." Natasha smirked before she wrapped her arms around Nick's neck and pulled him into another passionate kiss.

"Awesome," he breathed just as Natasha pulled him into yet another passionate kiss. Wrapping his arms around her waist, Steve arched her body into him and began walking backwards out of the elevator when the doors opened. He knew the layout of the building off by heart, so he didn't need to open his eyes to see where he was going. Soon Natasha had him pressed up against his door, his hand scrambling to find the doorknob and unlock it with his key all the while kissing her hungrily. Finally managing to swing open the door, Steve stumbled backward and lost his balance and ended up falling with her onto the floor, yet even then he still kissed her. Until, that is, someone cleared their throat. The Captain broke the kiss suddenly and finally opened his eyes to look up at the man before them. Nick Fury was standing there all dirtied up, hands on his hips as he stared down at them rather intimidatingly through his one eye. "I don't remember giving you a key.." he said, slowly standing up with Natasha. Fury chuckled lowly. "You really think I need one?" He asked. "My wife kicked me out." Steve began to button up his shirt, avoiding eye contact since he was a bit embarrassed. "Didn't know you were married," he mumbled. "There are a lot of things you don't know about me, Captain." Steve shook his head softly, leaving the top button undone. "I know. That's the problem," he muttered.
Nick Fury looked Natasha up and down as Steve began to walk away, annoyed. "Mind telling me why you're drenched in water, Agent Romanoff?"

Fury chuckled softly, starting to walk away from Natasha. "I just told you. My wife kicked me out," he lied again. This time, he took out his phone from his trench coat pocket and showed them the screen. 'EARS EVERYWHERE', it read. Steve narrowed his eyes and looked toward Natasha, then looked back to Fury. They had no choice but to play along with his little charade. "I'm sorry to do this but I had no where else to crash." Nick showed them the phone again, however this time it read, 'SHIELD COMPROMISED'. Steve pressed his lips together, looking down at the floor for a moment. "Who else knows about your wife?" He asked, taking a seat on his couch. What was he really asking? Who else knows that SHIELD's been compromised. Nick eased himself down on the opposite end in case Natasha wanted to sit next to Steve, showing them the screen again. It read 'JUST THE THREE OF US'. Fury sighed, obviously hurt badly from his wounds. "My friends..." he answered. Steve couldn't help but smirk at that statement. "Is that what we are?" The man turned himself on the couch a little more, letting an arm rest across the back of the couch. "That's up to you." Just then, bullets upon bullets came firing through the walls aiming straight for Nick, Steve, and Natasha. Steve's first instinct? To protect his girlfriend. The Captain hooked an arm around Natasha and threw her down to the floor quickly pivoting on top of her to shield her body with his own, moaning a little at the new bullet wound in his left bicep. The bullets wouldn't stop coming.

Fury was gunned down, laying nearly unconscious on the floor. Slowly, he slid his quivering hand into his pocket and retrieved the USB stick. "Natasha.. are you hurt?" He let out, his pained blue eyes scanning her body for any possible bullet wounds. He couldn't see any, which gave him some reassurance. Steve breathed a sigh of relief as he bent his head down and connected his lips to her forehead, closing his eyes as he did so. Nick. Steve dared not stand up; doing so would just give the shooters a clear target. Army crawling over to Fury who lie sprawled out helplessly on the floor, he clutched his blood soaked hand and squeezed it for reassurance. The panting Nick slid the USB stick into his grasp, looking into Steve's eyes. "Don't.. trust... anyone.." he coughed up blood, the Captain nodding his head some.
"Natasha," Fury called, turning his head to look at her. And for the first time, Steve saw the man smile. He knew Natasha and Fury had always been very close partners, so maybe it was a reassuring kind. Just then, someone bursted into the apartment with a gun in hand. Steve's head whipped over. "Captain Rogers?!" A familiar feminine voice called, causing Steve to stand up and walk slowly over to the figure. "Captain.. I'm Agent 13, SHIELD's special service," she explained. Steve's eyes widened slightly in confusion when the figure stepped out of the darkness. "Neighbor?" he breathed, making her nod and start over to Nick and Natasha. "I was assigned to protect you." The blonde knelt down on the floor beside Natasha. Steve was suddenly angered by her statement. "On whose orders?" He questioned, voice stern. Why did he need protection? What was even happening??
"His," she breathed, placing two fingers against Nick's neck in search for a pulse. Suddenly, she whipped her gadget out of her pocket and raised it to her lips. "Fox Trot is unresponsive, I need EMT's!"
Steve heard a male's voice ask if they have a twenty on the shooter. He looked out his window, seeing a dark figure and a bright light flash before it quickly ran off. "Tell them I'm in pursuit. Natasha, take care of Nick." He only paid Kyla a glance before he snatched up his shield and ran toward the window, jumping through the broken glass as he landed with a role on the building over. He began to sprint, chasing the figure across the buildings. Steve couldn't believe how fast this man/woman was. They were nearly as fast if not faster than him.

Natasha turned her head to look at Steve,noticing that Fury handed him the USB stick and told him not to trust anyone.He was coughing blood,Natasha felt sadness and anger.The only thing she wished was that Nick will survive. Suddenly someone bursted into the apartment,Natasha quickly got up but relaxed when she saw that it was Kyla. Natasha eyed her,so she's agent 13? Without saying a word,Natasha moved to Nick as Kyla checked Nick's pulse."Steve!" She called his name but it was too late,Steve already jumped through the window...
Natasha turned back to Nick who was laying there unconscious. Soon the EMT's arrived and took Nick Fury,of course Natasha helped them and stayed with Nick for the whole time. She felt like crying but she had to stay strong,hoping they will save Nick.After a while the doctors placed Nick in a special room and started to take care of him. They checked the pulse,the wounds and started to remove the bullet from his body,Nick lost a lot of blood and it was bad.. Natasha just stood near the glass window and watched how they treated Nick,she was very worried.

The Captain flew through the air with each long leap he took between the gaps of the buildings, his eyes never leaving the mysterious person who was merely feet away from him. Suddenly, they took a sharp turn into the building and began running up the flight of stairs. Steve followed all the same, panting and sweaty he was so exhausted! Nonetheless, he never slowed down a bit. When they reached the top floor, he crashed through the window and rolled landing on his knee as he brought his arm back - thankful it wasn't the one that was wounded - and then whipped his shield in their direction with all the force and strength he could gather up in that moment. Suddenly, the masked person stopped and turned around at the last second, catching it in midair with what appeared to be a bionic arm. Their gaze met as Steve slowly stood up. Clearly, this thing was not human. No normal human-being could be as fast as him and have a robotic arm strong enough to catch his shield as swiftly as that. The figure threw it back at the Captain before sprinting away and diving off the building, Steve running after him. Though, by the time he reached the edge, they had disappeared as if out of thin air.
Steve pressed his lips together in rage as he searched the ground below. He could see nothing. Throwing his shield to the ground, the Captain pushed his fingers through his hair in fury, clutching the back of his neck. To think he almost had the person and let them slip through his fingers so easily just pissed him off to no end. "Dammit!" he yelled, unable to contain his anger any longer. Steve clenched and unclenched his jaw as he slowly walked around the roof top with his fingers laced behind his neck, thinking. Natasha. He had to see Natasha. He needed to put his anger aside for now and comfort her. She and Fury always shared a strong bond that Steve could never make sense of. With a soft sigh, the man slid out his phone from his back pocket and texted his girlfriend: 'I lost him.. where are you?'. There were so many hospitals in this area.

It wasn't long before Steve came striding in through the doors of the Emergency Room. He had backtracked to his apartment building beforehand and took his motorcycle since he was in no condition to run there. The shirtless man slammed his hands down onto the front desk, grasping the elderly woman's attention immediately. "Nick Fury?" He blurted impatiently, expecting a room number and a floor in response. In his left bicep was a gaping bullet wound that had oozed out blood, though it had stopped a while ago leaving only dark dry blood and puss that trickled all the way down his arm to the palm of his hand in its place. He had taken his shirt off prior since it had been irritating the hell out of his wound. "Sir.. your arm..." the woman pointed out, causing Steve to roll his eyes. "Yeah, no s**t. I'm fine. Now where the hell is Nick Fury?" He pressed on, making her eyes widen and quickly look to her computer screen. She began to tap her thin frail fingers against her keyboard. "Room 13 on the third floor," she finally answered. "Thank you." And with that, Steve continued his venture to Fury's room. God, he hoped they were able to save him. He had lost so much blood...
Steve bursted through the doors, seeing Natasha crying outside a window. "Natasha," he called, his deep voice softer than it was only a moment ago. The man jogged the rest of the way, embracing her into his strong arms the second he reached her. He turned his head to look into the window. There he was, laying still with a white sheet covering his body head to toe. Steve hid his frown in her hair, closing his eyes as he kissed the top of her head. "I'm so sorry.." he murmured.

Natasha waited quietly until Steve finally arrived,he was shirtless and had a wound on his arm."Steve.." Slowly she turned around and walked closer to Steve before she pulled herself into his hug,his strong arms wrapped around her and Natasha burried her head in his chest. She was crying,not able to belive that Nick actually died..How horrible. Natasha didn't let go of Steve and just let Steve's arm hold her,soon Natasha started to calm down so she pulled away and wiped the tears off."Tell me about the shooter.." Natasha said before glancing at his arm."Come on,we have to take care of your wound." She said as she took him by his hand and searched for a nurse.
