Ursa just replied with an uncertain chuckle, and a cheeky grin, before shaking it off in a tilt of her head, she whisked around, and joined back up with the elder Fey.
"How long until we get there?" She asked, with an impatient hint within her note. She didn't suggest it intentionally, her feet were only starting to take the toll, leaving her in some form of pain, lumps, bumps and bruises which would certainly hurt the following day moreso than how it was then.
She peeked up a little, and scanned her surroundings carefully.

They hadn't even gone half the journey, to the remote wild he found more home than the Court that had degraded to such weakness as this. The elder suppressed the urge to speak as such, instead smiling faintly. There would be time enough to see her hardened, if she could be made so....for now, he would enjoy the softness.
"You are tired, then." With a single swift motion, he dipped down and scooped her into his arms, resuming his steady walk. The fragrance and feel was like too much wine....this bear had been rolling in honey, he smirked inwardly.
"Wicked girl. By the time we reach the foothills, I won't have the strength to defend myself from you, and you'll be restored."

She giggled lightly, "aww Laniger. You don't have you make a show out of things. And carry me!" Ursa swung a hand loosely about his neck, and grinned lazily at him, staring deep into his eyes.
"You don't have too, I think I'll manage.."
"Unless... YOU want to..." Ursa giggled about again.

"I want to be to the mountain before dark." he evaded, sharp smile teasing beneath his grizzled beard as his amber eye met her dark playful gaze. "Do not fear for me, girl. I've hauled heavier prey."

"You gentleman, you... Thank you." Ursa thanked. The moment grew quite uncomfortable, she felt somewhat guilty as Laniger trudged on, her within his grasps. Yet, she was just being a bigger burden to him. She had feet - and she could walk. She was just holding up the man. Ursa soon decided against questioning it - again.
She however, had a different matter on the tip of her tongue.
Laniger appeared to her, as much different from any of the other Sun Fey she'd encountered. It suddenly struck her, he may in fact of been a spy - spying on the Sun Court. Was he related to the Moon Court? Did she care if he was? Was love blinding her?
She didn't heisitate in questioning this, even if she knew the answer might be something she didn't want to hear. "You didn't talk much about the moon court when I brought them up." She mentioned, starting the subject slyly.
Ursa went in for the kill.
"Are you a spy?"

The elder had to chuckle. "I have no Court. I have Tir Nan Og, and how she meant her children to live." The eye that held hers was softened still, but immovable as the mountain rising in the distance before them. "And there is no place in her heart for the Moon Court."

Ursa sat in thought, staring into space for a brief moment, contemplating on what Laniger hat just said. "United as just one?" She asked timidly, "or, alone, as Tir Nan Og, WITHOUT the Moon Court? I'm not familar with all of this." She apologized.
"I barely knew such a court exsisted a few months ago... Now its just one whole propoganda, a propoganda I have no wish or intention of being involved in.. I don't know to be quite honest, this propoganda has no place for me, and I have no place, nor time for it." She sighed lightly.
"Is that why you tend to stay, ward off the courts?" She asked, "is that why your put off of them? The fact that YOU yourself will be caught up in some big fight? Or...? Enlighten me."

"I have never feared battle or death." he gruffed. "I have only feared not seeing my duties done. How can you be Fey and yet not know these things?"
That answer was easy, he thought, corners of his mouth tightening as his eye left hers to concentrate on the path before them, the foothills raising the trail in gentle slopes. The pretty cub seemed to scarcely know her own mind as it was.
"I will not be caught in a fight I do not choose. And the only thing I will fight for is the old way none remember today."
"Nor will I keep company with any who will not learn it." He shook his horned head in irritation, as though to butt away the strange ache her words pulled from him the more he explained himself.
"Are you certain you think of me enough to take me as a lover, girl?" he finished at last, the snap of a predator caught in a snare. "Whatever you wish from my body, that is not the sum of me."

Ursa held her head away timidly, half ashamed with herself, wallowing in certain pity. Her lips broke, and dry skin amongst - ripped harshly. Her smooth, fine skin slouched, and fell heavily, unattractively. Wrinkles creased from her nose outwards, and she tensed her temples, before flaring her nose back at him, in a swift motion of her head.
"That is low." She commented brutally, giving him cruel eye.
"Very low. And very selfish. You will not take me in unless I learn your ways? Have you no interest in my thoughts, feelings, or duties man? Is it all about YOU?" Her tone took a certain rise, and she warded her head away again before she could take it any further.
"... I don't know anymore Laniger, I don't know if I can see eye to eye with your ways. Should I see eye to eye with your ways? Or are you just dictating me into your ways? I will not have it." She stressed.
"Your love will not be bought on my behalf. That is LOW."

"You are Fey as I am." he murmured as he focused again on the mountain drawing nearer. "You proved as much when you chose to follow me rather than suffer your lonely chamber and mercenary companions. It is not a matter of being about me....it is already about us. The rest are who I doubt, not you. Else I'd never have invited you."
"But you clearly doubt me." His grip about her tightened, the words hissed through teeth clenched tight. The pulse in his long neck quickened. "Do not ask me to offer you my heart if you do not understand what it is....or will not love what it is."
He damned the strange twist in his gut for the broken sound of his voice, amber eye flinching even as it challenged her.

Ursa finched, fist clenched, nails blooding her palm. "How dare you. How dare you." She shook her head fiercely, tempted to slap him for his arrogance. "I can appreciate the fact you invited me along on this little excursion, and I appreciate that, I appreciate this new start, with you."
"But when you dictate how I live my life in order to keep your heart - I will not. I will not drop that low. I love you, for who you are. You should love me for who I am. I will not change, NO MATTER WHAT, in order to keep your love within my grasp."
Blood within her palm coiled and slithered down her wrist.

"Foolish cub, I needn't dictate, you already follow what I've sought, do you not see that? This is no more about you than it was about me!" he set her down at last, but his grip remained tight, golden eye searing like the sun that filtered through the trees above them. "You ask me to open myself as I have never done in a thousand of your lifetimes, tempt me to, only to speak doubt if I am a coward, or spy, or both? You DARE call ME low?"

"... I want to go back home now," she asked calmly, eyes dark and set at the ground. "I don't want to do this anymore..." Ursa's tone took a low, gruff note. "I only merely asked if you were a spy, I didn't consider that it would lead on to such a big silly arguement, that was uncalled for."
"You could've just answered." She half-pouted, lip stuck outward.

The ram's lean body stiffened, fanning wings the only outward sign of his remaining agitation as he retreated to the familiar solitary territory within his heart. The smoldering eye became ice as he turned to head on to the foothills, words became arrows envenomed by the maddening pain throbbing inside. "You know the way. Enjoy your lonely chamber and false friendships, cub. I will relish my isolation after this."

His words struck her like a bolt, and she was rendered motionless for just a few seconds. Had she really meant the modest words she'd churned out just a few moments ago? Ursa whined slightly, "n..n-no.." She went on to stutter.
"I didn't mean what I said. My foolish side got the better of me. Please, don't make me go back. Please, take me with you. I'm sorry." Ursa pleaded with him somewhat.
"Just..." She hung her head to the side, hair waving over in long strands.
"Where would I be without you now eh?"
