Dylon grinned and gently kissed the lady's knuckles, finally letting go of her hand. He felt like a dapper man now! "Nnnope~ We're regulars, as far as hunters go. Trainees. I've been up and and about since August. I actually only just met Harland here a few minutes ago." He turned to his new pal and smile widely, teeth gleaming. "I'm in Moon."

"We can manage that." Maebe hadn't planned on trying to get her new charge drunk, but that made her lack of actual planning a lot easier. "I might have a thing or two saved up from a party, if you're not picky. Let's make believe we're doing something productive for an hour, and then disappear into my room until they call you back to sleep." She paused, thinking about it. "Hell, if we do our job right, you'll be unconscious before they even come to get you." Maybe they'd put them both back in the pods. Maebe wasn't even perturbed by this possibility. "Right this way.. b***h." Somehow, when Maebe used the phrase, it sounded so much less playful - but she'd tried her best. She hooked arms with the girl to lead her out. Along the way, her eyes strayed to the man who'd watched her earlier, and they remained on him for the walk past. But when she disappeared behind him, her eyes were straight ahead, and her hand was firmly grasped on Alistaire's a** for the split second she was there. Oh, she'd missed him.

Well, he wouldn't pry if she didn't want him to, as much as he did love information. She was probably right about the peacock thing. However, despite appearances, he definitely hadn't brought her over to hit on her or pry, he just thought it would be nice.
"Death Division Trainee, for me," he added, grinning wide at Dylon, too. "I've been... here for a while?" Harland actually had no idea how long he had been awake.
He had lost track.

O-Oh! Had that been another wink? Lydia supposed it might have been, though it was hard to tell with eyes that were beginning to water now from all of the strain. Where had she left her glasses, anyways? Still, she gave the man a broad grin, wondering if she should perhaps wink back or if there had not actually been a wink to give one back to...... The wolf-man was speaking, something about being adopted. Wyatt caught up with them and she gave him a light pat on the shoulder, though now she was too busy staring around at everyone in the room that suddenly began to close in around the group of early risers like a kracken's tentacles, coming in closer, tighter, squeezing.... ...She quite visibly shuddered. "Post traumatic memory loss, perhaps." She muttered under her breath, giving her head a light shake, watching as other early risers were approached one by one. Oh, that one seemed to know someone! And so did that one! For all of her flighty behaviour, she did actually pay attention to what was going on around her. For the most part. "Interest--" She started to say, much louder then before, turning to grab for some more food from the table when suddenly she felt something, or rather, somebody, collide into her. "Oh! OH I AM SORRY!" She cried out, reaching out to grab for the other woman's arms. She was small, shorter then Lydia, which was somewhat rare in most situations, though she knew these were not quite normal situations to find oneself in. She was absolutely enjoying every minute of it! The smaller woman was offered a wide smile. "HI! I'm Lydia, by the way. Are with us, or them?" She pointed out towards the crowd of what was called "hunters". Just in case she was one of "them", she gave the girl wide, hopeful eyes. Which were still watering. Puppy dog eyes....sort of. These eyes were trying to say adopt me please, but likely failing. Syrie not much of a response srry don't want to intrude on the reunion XD

Alistaire showed no indication that Maebe had done anything untoward except let out a hiss of his breath, his eyes flashing dangerously. His cold gaze followed her as she left with the other, and though he said nothing at all, there was a hard smirk on his face.

Everything out of books. Who knew. People were apparently crazy enough to think they existed... then again. Viewing the state of the town. Either this group was painfully delusional, or... they did exist. Logic said one or the other. Though sadly, she didn't get to inquire further. Because interruptions. They happened.
The hug really brought it home. She was alive. Unless of course this was zombie apocalypse 101. They had been called zombies by the one girl apparently. It seemed rather unlikely as she felt the tight squeeze that would have usually earned an annoyed amount of protest, but instead was accepted as she finally got enough sense to raise her own arms to wrap around and cling to her older sister's shirt. She barely comprehended the words of apology, burying her own face against the foreign, yet so familiar warmth. Sadly, it only worked to make the whine worse as a sniffle threatened.
Weird facility? Can do. Crazy monsters? Eh. Crazy Doctor who thought he was Daddy? Okaaaay..... Being an abducted pod freak? Well that doesn't happen everyday. Finding out your dead sister was not so dead? End. Of. The. ********. World.
Because she'd given that up. Accepted it as done. She'd had to for the sake of their small little family. When that coffin went down she was the sole, lone thing her father had left. And he her's. The tight little family that had already lost so much, been so traumatized. Supported each other in every way had lost something so precious to it. And they didn't even have an answer to why, or what. Just that... she was gone. That she'd never be there again. That that empty bed would have to go. No more late night talks. No more nightmares. No more crying fits that sis could make better. She'd had to be a big girl for her dad. If only enough to keep him going. To support that already frayed and destroyed piece of sanity he was clinging to after losing not just their mother, but now his oldest daughter. She'd had to show he was enough, even if he could never be. Because that was what she had to do.
So this? It was a bit much. "Why'd you go?" It came out as a strangled sob, the full waterworks threatening to coming then. If she wasn't dead, why had she abandoned them and left? Why? Even as her sister tried to calm her, wiping away the one tear another replaced it. Not exactly a prime sight for a hunter candidate, but what of it. "I... I had to. You left. I-if I didn't then dad would have-" They both knew how stressed he was, that the two had been the soul source that kept him going. She'd had to do it. And then realization hit again as she thought of it. Peyton didn't know... she didn't know. "Sis... dad..." She hushed at the light kiss, trying to hold in the bad news. No, this should have been happy. She wasn't alone. Peyton was alive, after these years she was really alive. But...
"Sis... I missed you" She'd been lonely, so lonely. Even with dad there.kuroopu Gale you have been drug into random reunion you poor shorty.

Mimi looked up to see another blonde greet her, one that looked... really familiar. Had she... met her before? She gave a weak smile, and mumbled a quiet hello. Don't cry... don't cry...
Her head turned at the arrival of another girl, one just as friendly, and she felt herself calm down a little. Ah, so the other girl's name was Sherry? "H-hi..." She realized she was stuttering, and brought her hands up to slap her cheeks. N-no, this wouldn't do! Papa would scold her acting so timid. This wasn't like her at all! "U-um... they might have... but I woke up late..." Even now, she was trying to make sense of that strange dream. So she was now somewhere named "Deux"? Two? But two what?
"If I may ask... where exactly is Deux? Or, um... what is it? I'm not quite sure why I'm here..."
-------------------------
Sadly, Jake had been out like a light during the talk, and had no idea what was going on until Sherry's nudge woke him up. ... wait? What? He looked to see her heading towards some girl, and was even more confused when Stormy went over to greet her. Was this... an orientation for a new batch of hunters?

"You ain't got a bar?" Cee made an almost horrified face but for the moment let herself be guided by Maebe. "There's like all this ******** space out there." Her hand emphatically swept a motion towards the outside. Perhaps she had a different idea of what it was like here. The exchange was not missed and Cee even bent backwards to keep and eye on Alistaire's behind. His gasp and Maebe's movement were not exactly the subtlest when you were standing right there. "Is he comin' too?" The woman's voice deepened with interest. "Ya know not a bad selection ya got here actually." Her eyes drifted over more than a few sets of arms, some barrel chests, and even some pretty rocking hairstyles. She didn't even seem to care about the faces. Cee had seemingly ignored the harshness of Maebe's banter. She wondered if this one hadn't mastered keeping that reigned in or if it was deliberate. Her only decision was to continue to play fun girl. "A'right slut..." she squeezed the other's hand firmly a moment but continued to smile shallowly. "But remember. I'm fragile." She pouted. "Unbonded." Quote fingers.

Why did she go. The smile faded, a combination of that very hard question and the impending flood of tears. She attempted to wipe them away again, but more fell, and she swallowed back her own, held them in check, because that was how it had always been. Astrid was allowed her tears, Peyton was not. Not then, not now. "I didn't know leaving meant I died for you." It was a lame excuse, honestly, and she tried again. "I thought with me gone it'd be easier for you two to have a real life. You wouldn't have to move anymore, because he wouldn't have to continuously hunt for a better job." She wanted to leave it at that, to make it all seem so selfless and noble, but it would have been a lie, and she didn't lie to her sister. "And they offered me answers, Baby. Answers, and a chance to make a difference. To fight the things that had been plaguing us our whole lives. I couldn't say no." There, that had been the truth. Deus had been an escape, and an opportunity, and a chance for a better life, for herself and for her family without her. < Do you regret it?> No, of course not. The stability, the purpose. She thrived on it. This was home, these people were her family. She didn't regret her choices, only that those choices had caused Astrid and her father more pain that she had well and truly not needed. "Hey," she soothed, rubbing thumbs along tear stained cheeks. "None of that. I'm here, I'm not going anywhere ever again." Hands dropped from cradling her face so she could pull her into another hug. "I missed you, too. I missed you so much."

Maebe's steps slowed to a halt, and her hip jutted slightly to one side as she contemplated the question. "No bar." She waved that one away idly, more interested in what Cee had asked next. She turned her head, and then the rest of her, to dangerously contemplate Alistaire and his cold, cruel gaze. "Would you like him to?" Maebe leaned closer to Cee to conspire. "We could ask. He looks friendly. I bet he'd love to come help us celebrate your awakening, no matter how temporary." Maebe was legitimately excited about this, because she presumed that this was the exact opposite of what Alistaire would like to do, at that particular moment. Or ever. God, that made her want it more. "The selection here is excellent, but slim. Small groups and friendly incest, you know how that goes." She had no idea if Cee knew what she meant, but it was fun to talk to her as if they'd been old friends for decades. " His name is Alistaire." Maebe tilted her head in the man's direction, but her eyes had never left him. "He's a beast in bed."

If anything, he was tempted to pull her in tighter but he decided to be nice and let Noemi go. Just not right away. It took a few tries for Milo to retract his arm. "We're losing our prospects, chica." Yes, he was kind of filtering between nicknames right now as he scoured the remaining new people.
"And I have no idea what you just said." He laughed.

There may have been a little noise when Chris poked Dory in the sie a little to touch his sweater, but Dory tried to play it off as if nothing had happened. Going to look around, his head started tilting when he noticed a girl who was . . . less than regularly dressed. She actually looked like a hurricane full of raptors hit her.
Going to pat Chris on the shoulder, he gave a look to Riley also, before standing up. "Goin' t'go check somet'ing out, give me a moment." He stated quietly, before going to walk up to the little group and the girl who was looking pretty disheveled.
"You look like a 'urrican of raptors 'it you." He stated, every sense of blunt-Dory coming out at once, his eyebrows raising a little, as he turned to look at the little huntress she was standing with. "Where are your clothing, ceux qui regardent comme ils ne pouvaient pas faire le travail d'un jour." He asked, the latter half obvious stated for himself - he didn't want to hurt her feelings.

"A party ain't a party with only two guests." Cee winked at Maebe. If she had her way there would literally be a party tonight. It didn't matter if it was an apartment building, a bunker, a dorm, or some abandoned basement somewhere, she would find a way to get all these happy reunions crammed together in one space with alcohol, music and plenty of bump and grind. Hazy enebriation was all they needed for these squares. "Who knows how long this is gonna last.." She motioned to all of her. "I wanna be seizin the ******** night." Cee cast a glance to Alistaire now, a coy gaze through her fringe of bangs. She smoothed and twirled a bit of hair slowly through her manicured nails. "Sounds like high school." She grinned slowly, eyes widening confidently while still staring. "I ******** got that s**t." It seemed all the more reason to try and rock this joint in the short amount of time she had awake. Alistaire? Cee giggled, "Beast in the sheets.... and the floor and up on the waaalll..." She she sang in slow hip hop beat and rolled her body in a mini-dance groove.

He didn't bother to say goodbye to Ian, not that he ever did. Alistaire's gaze was still fixed on Maebe's form before she and the other girl she was with stopped, the pair of them looking as though they were conspiring together against the universe.
Or perhaps just him, since he was under no doubt that the looks Maebe was sending his direction were intended for him. The corners of Alistaire's lips curled upwards in a faint smirk. Soundlessly he made his way across the room towards her and her friend because two could play at that game.
"You know it's rude to talk about someone when they're right here," he said lightly. His narrowed eyes fell disdainfully on Maebe again. "You of all people would know."

It was fair to want an answer. To know why they'd meant so little as to be left alone. She didn't know it was for them as much as Peyton had done it for herself. Only that her sister was here and well. Alive. She'd never said a word.
She peered up, a full on pout that could likely guilt anyone(short of Caelius and H) on her face as she waited for the answer. There was obvious uncertainty to an extent on her sister's face. As if she was searching for the right words to make it okay. She was used to that face when hard questions were asked. It had started when they were young, when she'd made the mistake of asking again when mommy would come home. Why she couldn't. Because she didn't want to understand it even if it was explained. So patience was given, even as the soft words were said and fingers traced along her cheek to try and get rid of the wet trails that were only to be replenished anew. "It wasn't." The words were soft and she shook her head. "Nothing changed in that sense." It wasn't like their dad hadn't worked hard. Hadn't tried to do everything.
But it had hurt them both. Her fingers clutched at the soft fabric, her head shaking. "It was lonely." They'd both missed her. And their father wasn't ever quite the same. Was he loving? Absolutely. Did he cherish her? One hundred percent. But neither of them had been better off without Peyton there. Astrid knew that much.
The next statement, however hit somewhat home. She paused nipping at her lowing lip a moment as she got her own look of guilt. She'd bitten as well. The promise of answers to questions. With nothing left to leave behind, how could she not. "Was it worth it?" The question was for herself, as well as her sister. She wanted to know if her own choice to say yes was right. If this place was worth leaving behind something? Had she had much to leave there? Not really, but... there was a life she might have had. It was gone now apparently. Because... "I'll be dead to them too now, won't I?" Not that anyone wanted her anyway back there. It was for the best.
Was that what Peyton had said too?
She could really only stare up a moment as her sister worked to calm her down, a few hiccuping sobs were attempted to be held down to a degree as she listened. A firm nod offered. "Then... I won't either." She'd stay. Definitely. She'd help too, so at least they could be together. "I'll help too! Then we don't have to miss each other anymore!" This was likely not the solution Peyton wanted to hear from Astrid. Not at all. Especially considering what she currently lacked compared to the hunters.
