((There )) The woods were growing thicker now as she walked on and on, blindly trusting the signs sense of direction. Far be for her to question the all knowing truth of signs. It was so peaceful here, she thought, blissfully unaware of how long she'd been following the trail since she entered. How long had it been, actually? An hour? 5 hours? She furrowed her tiny brow in contemplation as until now the thought never even crossed her mind. She was expecting to come out of the forest on the other side and explore some new area of the game at some point. Not just wander around here for kicks.
Just as her thoughts began to catch up to her she was faced once more with a sign. "Perfect!" she breathed in excitement, scurrying up to the sign eager for it to clue her in on her next course of direction.
"YOU ARE THERE" it told her, pointing backwards. Huh, that's....that doesn't seem right. She furrowed her brow again in skepticism. "I could have sworn that was the way I just came!" She was talking in public chat now, but to no one in particular.
She couldn't really see any option but to follow the sign. She was the newbie here, how could she know more than a sign, right? Besides, every which way she looked it was more forests its entirely possible she just forgotten what path she came from in her excitement. Though a part of her deep down was starting to think the point of these signs was to get her lost, just like the point of the talking trees was to infuriate her.
