Sarad toed off his shoes, "i've got it, thanks." they fell off the edge of the bed, something he'd normally fix right away, but he wasn't moving for a while. "you should bring him over some time. i'll make something for us to eat. maybe he'd just super shy until he gets used to you." Sarad grinned, "sometimes those are the most interesting people to get to know. at least they are in animes and books." he himself rarely spoke outside of their dorm room, did that mean he's one of those people too? Sarad didn't like to think so, but the signs were all there, making him frown. "anyways, we could have him point out some of the music he likes, or maybe a couple shows and watch them together."

Sarad laughed, "you shouldn't have eaten so much, gluten." he shifted a bit to get to a better position and sighed, his eyes closing. "you know, i've never had the luxury of just laying down after a punishment. i've always had to continue with my schedule, so this is heaven right here." he burrowed his face into his pillow, "my uncle is big on training your body as well as your mind. needless to say, doing a full work out like this is unpleasant. being able to lay here and not try to hide it? it's nice." he looked back at Dale and smiled a little, still feeling ashamed that his friend knew, but silently happy he didn't have to pretend, "thank you."

Sarad nodded, "I can make donuts fairly easily. next time we have a free cook, i'll make them for you, ok?" they were going to have one the week after next, so he'd make them then. they were having a planning meeting as well, so he would just bring the donuts to the room instead of make Dale sit through that. "do you have any homework you need to do? i feel like i've asked already, but i forgot, sorry."

Sarad rolled his eyes at the frequently used lie, "of course you don't." he closed his eyes as he heard Dale say they were supposedly going to focus on him today. "pool? i don't know that chlorine would be too kind on me, but thank you for thinking of something that might help. i'm fine, really. just want to lay here for a while. maybe you should catch up on that anime like you said you would two weeks ago. you only have three episodes before you get to where i am. if you put it off much longer you'll have even more."

Sarad smirked, "but if you don't watch, you'll never see that cute new girl they just introduced. She's got long, dark hair-" he lifted an eyebrow, "and light blue eyes. and she's really sweet, but there's this thing about her-" he sighed and shook his head, "the kind of girl you always like, but if you don't want to watch, i can't force you." he glanced over at Dale, "why don't you read a book or something instead?"

Sarad laughed and pushed himself up. he shifted over until he was laying next to the wall and pat the bed, "come sit over here, i'll watch it with you." he moved up so he was near the headboard, "just put the laptop on the bed between us, then we both can see." he didn't have to watch it as closely since he'd already seen it, so he would be ok laying down while it played. "and she is, very much so. even i thought she was, which is saying something, right?" for the most part Sarad believed himself to be asexual. at least, he'd never really felt attraction to anyone or anything. yes, he had morning wood on occasion, but that was a natural reaction. it didn't really mean anything more than that, so his noticing a girl as being cute, even an animated girl, was a big deal.

Sarad froze at Dale's teasing question. his hands started to shake, but he clutched his blankets to hide it, forcing himself to smile, "what are you saying? of course i am straight, i just don't understand the concept of beauty." he shook his head and closed his eyes, "what a question to ask of your roommate as you are laying on their bed." the anime started and Sarad was grateful for the distraction as he fought to calm down. he was straight. he liked women. he just didn't find many attractive.

"No!" Dale was getting the wrong impression, "no, you are wrong. i'm not-i'm not-" he pushed himself off the bed, ignoring the pain, and grabbed his backpack. "i-i should go. have a paper-" but Dale would know that was a lie, Sarad had finished all of his school work he could, "for my club," he finished lamely. he put his backpack over his shoulder, his vision blacking out slightly as it hit his back, but he hurried for the door. Dale couldn't really believe that he was gay, could he? sure Sarad didn't date or have any female friends outside of club. and yes, he liked to cook, but that didn't mean he was gay. a cold shiver ran through him as hazy memories began to surface as to why he could never be gay. he shook his head and hurried down the hall, heading for the library where he knew he could hide for hours without bothering anyone.
