"I certainly can. I am not saying it would be easy, but with a little work and the proper encouragement, you certainly could." Anei smiled and nodded," Is it not curious that only Seijin has a full control of her skills? I find that suspicious. Meanwhile, I have worked to get my students control of their cards. It's a fairly complex yet simple project, and if its what you want, we will work to achieve it."

"No more hiding them, no more being scared of them; control and confidence," the teacher leaned a bit closer to Samantha," All it takes is knowing the truth to the cards and finding someone to foster your skills with no fear and only faith in you."
PostPosted: Fri May 23, 2014 12:08 am

Samantha leaned away a little, skeptical. "Seijin was only busy putting out the fires you started..." She then looked away in thought.

"... I hate these powers... I was hoping she and Kazami could help get rid of them once all this was over... once we defeated you. They said you were going to use your powers for bad things... l-like what you did to Heidi!" She turned back, a new flare in her eyes. "How do you explain her? They way you and the rest of them bully her... how can you justify that? Even if it's to help with her powers, there must be a better way!"

"She was my friend, my only friend! And you're a teacher, you're supposed to look out for your students, not let your little underlings treat others like dogs!" Before she knew it, Samantha was standing, hands planted on the table firmly. She slowly sat back down as a few students around them began to murmur.

"I started no fire. If you saw, once Tabitha came under my wing I put out the fire she started. The one Seijin could not put out and got burned by," Anei responded calmly, paying only the smallest of glances to the murmur and a small thought of 'perfect.' "The other flares students are not my fault, and I admit what I had to do with Heidi is far from my pride, but the beast is dangerous. Far more than you or I."

The teacher sighed," I have to earn better control of my students, I will be the first to admit. They do still have small slips and errors with their cards, as do I Or anyone for the matter. Even Seijin fails at times. It is not easy specially not for young children as you or Farona. I am sorry to say their small misbehaving is nothing to what would have happened if they had been under Seijin's treatment." She tapped at her wrist idly with a finger," But in the end you will chose to believe the slander she has told you, I am sure. If that is the case, however, I know I tried my best to aid a student."

"... So... what can you do for me, then? Why should I trust you over Kazuko?" Samantha closed her book and folded her arms over it , staring at the table. "I don't want to be like this... like I am now. I want things to go back to normal... before all this started." Feeling frustrated and close to tears, Samantha quickly began to stuff things away and back into her backpack. "I'm done with all of this, you hear? So unless you can offer me something Kazuko can't, then I-I'm gone, got it? Gone!"

"Give me a chance to find the control of your abilities, and give you what you lack;" self efficiency, full control, and all of your potential," Anei stated, then smiled again," As a Sign of good spirits, I will show you to Heidi, and even let you both stay together, while we wok both of your skills fully~"

She absently began to fix her tie," And if don't like it, you may leave and go back to Seijin." The teacher raised her eyes to Samantha's ,"Does it sound like a deal?"
PostPosted: Tue May 27, 2014 12:25 pm

Samantha was short of breath. She looked over Anei long and hard, weighing her options. It seemed like the easiest and only way out.

"... I accept." She said, with more than a little defeat in her voice. "I'll go with you, for now... I want to see Heidi and make sure she's well. And if you can help the both of us then... then I'll stay. But if I see that you're mistreating me... her, us... then I'm gone, and I'm taking Heidi with me." It was then that Samantha stood from her seat at the lunch table. Her eyes looked worn and weary, and weakening against the emotions bottled up behind them. "So... where is she?"

"Ah, yes, that is the spirit," Anei smiled encouragingly. "I will show you to the location, she is in a location within in the school, actually, not far from her old room." The teacher stood, moving to walk to the dorm building, stopping long enough to gesture for Samantha to follow her.

She lead them into the main lobby, and taking her staff key, opened the door to what seemed to be the basement floor. The doors opened to not a flight of stairs but another floor in itself, formed of the space that the hallways left in the buildings core.It was truly a square cut out.

There was a small counter in the furthest right corner, with a respectable looking fridge, a portavle skillet, and a water dispenser. It seemed that they were using an old, seemingly refurnished filing cabinet to store dishes, as the tabs on the drawers were jokingly labeled "glasses," "dishes," "silverware," and "Other." They had a small sink, another apparent handicraft from one of the members, as it consisted of a table, cut to fit a tub , all over the single drain in the room. At the side was a tattered couch, and a blonde girl with roundish glasses was sprawled across it, flicking a butterfly knife quite idly, someone who had not been with the allegiance of Anei before. To the right of the couch was a mockingly well organized pile of miscellaneous broken appliances, some with a tag of "Coming Soon" written on yellow post-it notes. There was also a small table in the remaining corner with three chairs, a humble rug at the center and what seemed to be a tv and radio, both apparently just recently repaired, though neither made a noise at the moment.

The dominating feature was between their "kitchen" and "dinner table." Next to the sitting Karine was a trap door. The also blonde girl was leaning with her back to the wall, a set of beautiful crimson bat-like wings with intricate black patters stretched lazily. Her knees were slightly bent, and it was noticeable that she was inspecting the wings and its workings quite curiously. As Karine's ruby eye looked to Samantha, the trapdoor next to her opened, letting Farona's slender visage inside the room. She flicked her hair over her shoulder, which had earned quite a few inches in length over the last week, and smiled at Anei. "I trust that she is still doing well?" Anei asked locking the door behind her.
"Oh yes! It took a bit of my persuasion, but she is eating once more," Farona smiled her enchanting gesture," Tabi is speaking with her right now."
"Good to hear she is more willing to listen now," the teacher nodded,"I see the tv and radio were repaired. Do they work?"
" 'Do they work' " The glassed blond scoffed sitting up and stabbing the knife into the couch. "It was only the circuits that were fried from water damage. I just took a few from the junkyard over there and I was easy." she had nodded to the pile of appliances.
"Most impressive, Ms. Hazumi."
"Speaking of, shorty," Karine pipped,"The delinquent is hard to find, but, on a hunch of Tabi, we looked into the closest she has: Yuuka Kazami, the bio teach."
"Definitely the place to start!" Farona smiled at them.
The students exchanged a few words before Anei cleared her throat. "oh dear, excuse our manners, hello samantha! nice to see you again!" The drama student was first to greet.
"The white hair suits you," karine mumbled enviously, averting her mysterious gaze.
"Yo, glad to see I won't be the only short one." The one called Hazumi responded.

"Aren't we the happy family," Anei laughed,"Make yourself at home! as soon as Tabitha comes up, I will take you down and let you see heidi. Given to her size, we gave her the basement. we keep guard up here, hence our small, humble outpost. Recently she decided to stop eating, hence my looking for you."

"Heidi... stopped eating? She hasn't been taking care of herself..." Was the first thing Samantha had said. She looked to the trapdoor, curious and worried, and tried to ignore the others in the room, despite their acknowledgement. "H-Hi..." She responded, barely raising her gaze to meet any pair of eyes. Even then, Samantha couldn't help but notice the drastic changes in Karine's and Farona's appearances, from the former's new, devilish visage to the latter's taller, curvier figure. Hazumi also entered her gaze (although thanks to their shared height, she actually locked eyes with her - or would have, save for the glasses), and was impressed to realize that most if not all of this room's handiwork had been her doing. Despite the piles of junk, the room actually seemed quite... cozy. Well, except for what Samantha imagined to possibly be a prison below.

Samantha walked forward, hands buried in her hoodie's pockets, her eyes now fixated on the trap door. "What's she doing down there? Shouldn't someone be watching Tabitha?" There was a small amount of panic in her voice as she turned to meet Anei. "Is there anything I can do to help? I don't want that thing anywhere near Heidi...!"

"Tsurai is the one who is closest to Heidi's persona," Farona replied, "Just like I am closest to Karine. Believe it or not, some normalcy and stability is actually brought when to card holders have similar personas.... or that is what we have deduced-"
"Well you have to add the card holders bonds," Hazumi was going backto the couch hands in her pockets,"Samantha here has a better chance if calming Heidi than Tabitha, in my opinion anyway."

"The real answer is we are not completely sure, and we are thrilled to have you here so as to try out what is more true,"Karine grumbled, annoyed by her companions," So here Sammy." She nodded to the trap door behind Farona, "Why don't you strut on in, uh? Try to pet her or something, cuse Tabitha hasn't progressed much, so what if these two are wrong? I mean. Maybe Tabitha's card person is a b***h, and Heidi's person hates her? Why don't you tell Tabi to come up here and have lunch herself."
Farona sighed and moved out of the way, "You need to be nicer, Karine."
'Can't help it, sorry," She blushed legitimately embarrassed, stretching her wings as. if that was any sort of evidence.

"Right... I'll do that..." Samantha marveled at the possibility of a first, non-threatening conversation with Tabitha. Tilting her head, she spied the trapdoor the three spoke of around Farona's waist. It seemed almost fairytale, this situation she had found herself in. She was the sacrificial virgin (Hey, that was none of anyone's concern!) being offered up to sooth a savage beast.

Resigning to her role in the matter, however, Samantha approached the trap door, kneeling down beside it. She paused.

"Hey," Samantha began, turning to look up at Farona. "A moment ago you said 'Tsurai'... do these spirits - these other beings - have names? Have you talked with any of them?" The moment that thought was complete, Samantha noticed something as she gazed up to the tall, black-haired woman. Farona's silhouette had become somewhat blurry at the edges, as if a thick haze of television static had manifested itself directly behind her. A quick glance to the side of the room revealed a similar, yet red-colored haze surrounding Karine, though this aura was much clearer in its intent, as the aura seemed to sprout dangerous-looking tendrils that lashed around her person spitefully. This strange sensation caused Samantha to stop momentarily to rub at her eyes. When she opened them again, the blurriness and crimson aura had vanished.

Farona blinked in surprise down at Samantha, but a second and her smile filled with a knowing smile. "It is like asking 'do we have names?' Samantha, Anei was not joking when she said this was far bigger than you, or I for the matter."
"They were people too." Karine added looking up at the ceiling. Though her face was shadowed by her bangs, it was easy to see her gaze was far past the roof above them, or even the sky.
"They are," Farona smiled almost sadly, hugging herself in the same manner. Her eyes were a honey color for a moment, looking to Anei and Hazumi, who both spoke in the privacy of the couch," I am sure Heidi will explain it to you far better than I could. She is a brilliant girl, you know? And she is very kind." Farona held the door open to the basement. It was easy to see a ladder going down. Past that it was difficult.
"When you get to the bottom of the ladder, there is a hand rail there to lead you down a small flight of stairs. Maybe six steps? Its one big room, no there is no getting lost, alright?" The black haired girl explained with a smile.
"Watch your step. And tell tabs that Anei wants her up here." Karine added

"Best of luck!" She smiled warmly.

"So someone else is inside me... someone who once was alive..." The thought made her shudder.

The wishing of luck and smiles from the two was... strange. In normal school life, she'd never seen this side of Farona or Karine. It was... warm. Perhaps genuine? Samantha mentally shook her self; no, don't get distracted. You have a job to do. Samantha gave them both a nod of thanks and stepped down into the trapdoor.

She descended the ladder a short ways, hand under hand, until her feet touched the ground. The light was dim, forcing her to find her way along the wall, until her hand met the railing Farona mentioned. From there, it was as simple as following the voice.

"Tabitha." Samantha called out, taking the six steps downward. Farona was good on her word. "Anei wants you upstairs, on the double. Don't make a fuss..."

"Something of that effect, yes," Farona tried to smile at that, but she allowed Samantha to leave.

"I didn't think Anei would get you to come here," Tabitha came from the side, grumbling as she went to the stairs."Good luck, whatever." If Samantha were to ask anything now would be her chance, for Tabitha stopped on the third step up. "If she starts shaking, or looking a bit bigger than usual, you come up here, and ring this bell right here." She tapped the side of her fist to a bell nearly impossible to see in the dark. "And I mean anything that looks suspicious or that hint at her becoming that beast, got it, shorty?"

After time to adjust the eyed was given, it would look that the floor there was a huge basement. There was stored desks, broken or replaced, that largely obstructed the already limited view but it was easy enough to deduce the "room " was at least as big as the base of the entire building. Pillars held the sediment of the building, large and powerful enough that a certain beast's attacks only cause dents and claw marks. "This place is bigger than it looks, but Hissori is all the way down. Go straight. There is a bed and a desk. The room is kept dark on her request. So watch your step."

"Any questions, comments, concerns?"
PostPosted: Sun Jun 01, 2014 10:19 pm

Samantha shook her head. "No... not really. I'll go see her. And... thanks for the warning."

The teenager strode out into the expanses of the dimly lit underbelly of the school. It felt strangely warm to her, and the oppressive darkness pushed down on her like a weight. She stopped, looked down at her feet, and turned her head around to look behind her. The light from the stairs was barely visable now, just a dim light in the distance. Keeping her feet still and pointed in the same direction, she returned her gaze forward, and marched on.

After a few moments more, she called out to the darkness: "Heidi?". Her voice echoed lightly. She reached into her pocket and pulled out a zippo lighter, gave it a few flicks and watched the small fire flash into existence, and illuminate a small area around herself. "Hello? Heidi, where are you?" She turned around. She'd lost sight of the stairs. s**t.

"If you aren't careful you will get lost..."

The voice came from behind a pillar, or well, one of the many. "That is a nice lighter...but you should go back, Samantha. While you can." The voice was weak, as if merely suggesting the obvious. "If you turn 180 , you will just walk straight to the stairs..." It appeared that someone, or something was moving between the pillars and the darkness, carefully out of the ligther's way. "Honestly, you are not made to see the way I am, you would be wiser to turn back now."

"What do you even want? What is it now?"
