Melody only gave a sigh and continued smiling at Demona as she patted her shoulder, "Demona, it's fine. Even if I am still not used to my room mates, that doesn't mean I have to go off and change them."
Melody adjusted herself to have her plush lay in her lap as she watched the truth or scare game.
Of course it was still going to take time with the room mates, but hopefully the howliday season made Vinnie a bit more hospitable.

Marceline tapped her chin in thought... she tried to scramble together the best "Truth" questions from her Teen Scream magazines, but nothing seemed juicy enough! At a loss, she said the first one that came to mind.
"Who do you think is the best-looking boo at Monster High?"

"Ooooo," Hellene found herself saying quietly.
It had been ages since she'd played Truth or Scare. It had been banned from the house during a particular instance where she and her sister Melly had attempted to destroy one another. When mother came home and found Melly bald, Hellene dyed pink and Ocypete universally declared victor for a (small and tasteful! Really!) tattoo, that meant no more Truth of Scare. Ever. On pain of loss of mirror privileges.
She popped the top on her soda and the fizz filled the silence.

Of course, she knew the risk in accepting the game of "Truth", so she knew she had no other alternative but to answer Marceline's inquisitive question as to which boo at her school she thought was the most attractive."There are so many fine young mansters at school. Very handsome. Nero. Kai. Ronan. But if I had to pick one above all others, then I'd have to say..."She shrugged with a girlish smile."Gryff N."Her declaration was met with silence other than a soft metallic thud on the floor."Atomica, pick your jaw up off the floor please?""Gryff?"Layla nodded."I admit I find him quite attractive. He's tall and very handsome. And like it or not, he is quite adapt at the arts. We all saw him dance at last year's Talon Show (and won I might add). He's very strong willed which I admire, and loyal to his friends. Jewels listened to Layla's answer. Gryff? Wasn't he that moody crypster who always seemed distracted by his archaic looking phone? Interesting.
She smiled broadly, poor Layla had turned a brilliant scarlet, quite becoming alongside her scales.
She whispered to Doriana.
"You see, a scare is far less potentially humiliating."

Sally tilted her head as she listened to Layla. She kept to herself, even if she didn't understand any of it. Attraction is based on what each ghoul looks for in a mate, she thought. She tried to think of what she would find attractive in a boo.
Hmm... maybe she'd have to get to know some boos first...

Cassandra blushed a bright red at the sound of hearing gryffs name. She covered her face if she had a heart it would be pounding in her chest. whimpering softly she curled up into a little ball She wanted to speak up and say that she agreed with Laylas opinion but decided just to eat...if only she could reach the food.

Melody found that it was no surprise that Layla had found Kai cute, everyone believed Kai was cute. And Kai thought everyghoul was cute too.
She looked at the scratch left on her glasses by Demona's doll and examined them to make sure there was no further damage.
"Gryff N."
The sound of Gryff's name had surprised Melody so much her glasses fell onto her lap.
Gryff? Sure, he had the suave, sleek look about him, but Layla actually liked him?
Melody blinked before realizing her glasses were no longer in her hands; she found them, and put them into her hoodie pocket to make sure they received no further damage.
Sure, Layla could like any boo she wanted to, but Gryff?

Jewels perked up as Atomica picked scare, watching intently. What would Layla make her do? Would it be utterly and spectacularly humiliating?
She had no doubt that anything, ANYTHING the ghouls could dish out, Atomica would just do. That ghoul, she didn't seem to have any kind of anxieties and it was almost... admirable how little she cared about what other's thought.
Jewels looked to Doriana and then grinned up at Marceline. The sequins were almost done and Marceline looked, in Jewels' eyes, absolutely drop dead gore-gous.

"DIAL-UP?!!! Oh. My. GHOUL, are you completely grimsane? Just uploading ONE hi-res image of Marceline in that dress I made perfectly that they're now busy ruining to Gryff's blahg would take HOURS!"
Atomica pouted. She could not violate the sacred rules of Truth or Scare. And, besides, it wouldn't be THAT bad....she'd been on dial-up in the 80's when she'd originally gone to Monster High. That was before her battery had powered down in the catacombs, stranding her there until Gryff and Lin had found her 25 years later. So...dial-up was sort of...retro. And retro was cool! Right?
"FINE." Atomica waved her concerns off, and her eyes dimmed as she disconnected from the Grimformation Super Highway and booted up her ancient dial-up connection.
"Dialing...."
*Beep bop boop bop beepbeepbeep....*
"Finding connection...."
*Grrrmmmm...grrrmmm......*
"Connection found!"
*SCREEEEARRRRRRRRMMMMMMMMSCCHCHCHCHCHCHCHCHCHCHCHCHCHCHCHCH!*

This was going to take a while. In the meantime, Atomica eyeballed the other ghouls to pick the next victim of Truth or Scare.
"I pick........DEMONA! Truth or Scare?!"

Doriana jumped up from behind Marceline with excitement. "AHA! It's DONE! It's-"
Everybody was looking at her like she was the craziest ghoul on earth. Her face turned red as she turned Marceline around to show Jewels, still hoping they wouldn't pick her for truth or scare.
"Okay, Jewels, NOW we can accessorize!"
