Perhaps he could finish this yet, though... Oh. No, he realized numbly as the harpies carried him off, cackling. He'd have to try again when the Goddess was in favor... As Shaw continued to explore the cliffs around the world's edge, he came upon a haphazard jumble of buildings ascending into the mist. He approached the entrance cautiously - the place seemed unfinished, somehow, and he was certain he was being watched by, well. Something.The floors and walkways protested his passing with various rattles, creaks, and groans, but he pressed onward.

Shaw continued his ascent. He couldn't help but note that the view was spectacular, the higher he climbed. In spite of the danger the oddly ill-designed structures posed, he found he was enjoying himself more than he had with the perilous glider. That is, until he reached the bridge. This first thing Shaw noted was it it's impressive length - and the second, that it was impossibly narrow. No handrails, no safety; just a long, long drop. It was not a comforting thought. He took in a deep breath and set off, slowly. One foot thudded in front of the other as the structure swayed beneath him, threatening to send him into the abyss. With the way it shook and rattled, he was unsure if he'd fall first, or if it would simply give beneath his feet. It seemed like ages had passed by the time he made it to the other side, and he had to pause for a moment, weak-kneed.

HARPY HP: 28/30 What Shaw hadn't counted on was that his amazing clifftop view would be blocked by the wispy bodies of weird, bird-people-monsters. He tried to shove one away, and his hands went through it. It nearly knocked him over in rebuttal.
