Shaw reached the room with the doomsday-like device and begin to climb, eyes intent on the twinkling glow of the blessings above.
Perhaps that was why he didn't notice when something started to vibrate, and a small explosion threw him off the thing and back onto the platform below.

His caution and planning seemed to pay off this time, and he avoided the small explosions and steam fissures, finally pulling himself wearily to the top.
The small orb was almost too hot on his already burned hands, but he gripped it tightly, preparing to make his descent.

It was warm. That was the first thing she noticed when she entered. She saw the glowing lava, and knew to avoid it. In the first area, she saw fire flying from everywhere. Time to dodge it.

Acerola entered the next room, and the temperature suddenly seemed to drop a billion degrees. Shivering, she noticed the fan. She chose to throw debris at it. ....which bounced back at her. Ouch

Acerola was pretty much giving up as she chucked another piece of debris at the fan. Success! The fan blew up jammed, and she continued.

Vettey really didn't like the look of this but she would try to put her best foot forward and that was what she did, running like a mad lady and barely making it through without being scorched too badly.
