Hey, that seems helpful, can our game get one of these? I mean nothing's really happening right now, but I doubt it'll stay like that.

As Rath stops on space six after defeating the revenant...
...he finds a Longbooooooooooooow!
*o* ...Wait, it's archer/sniper only..... =_=
I will admit, I did not expect you will do that latter style of Fire Emblem's mechanism of the longbow. I thought you would use the FE5-8 mechanism where any bow user can use the longbow. sweatdrop

The archer class needs some more love, which means exclusive rights to the longer ranged bows. It makes sense to me, anyway. Can you really fire a longbow from horseback? Those things are longer than the human body I think.

Yeah, longbows are way too huge to fire from horseback. They are, in fact, taller than the average human, which is why they're able to fire the absurd distances they do. I've always felt like longbows should have higher damage at shorter ranges because of the sheer power that goes into firing them. But that wouldn't work game mechanics-wise.

True about the longbow being longer than the human body. And it makes sense about being difficult to shoot when horseback.

After you visit the arena, FS will randomly generate an opponent. You have the option of fighting or fleeing. If you stay to fight, you and the RNG foe need to roll one 10-sided die add your strength or magic then subtract the enemy's defense or resistance stat. Both combatants will be using their most basic weapon so there's no extra damage modifier. Whoever does the most damage wins the match. Simple as that.

Anyway those in game 3 are really close to Mire range and most of us can't take it. 9 base magic + 3 from Mire = 12 base damage before the dice roll so the min-max from mire is 13-22 with out defenses/skills coming into play.
Here's the results from Mire stuff at max health with no bonuses to defenses (Dragonskin is accounted for):
Sunil can take a Max Mire Aruna can take a Max Mire Rath can take a Max Mire
Clara dies if a 10 is rolled Kieran dies if a 9 or 10 is rolled Alex dies if a 7 or higher is rolled Annis dies if a 6 or higher is rolled Ganon dies if a 6 or higher is rolled. (Dragonskin is accounted for)
Of course we have rallies and males have Demosielle to help out.
With that noted here is the Mire range map provided by Lethe:
