Gwyn thought this appeared to be a long range weapon. Maybe it'd work better if she moved further back? She back-stepped a bit, aimed, and fired. Another cherry pit came out, but this one moved much faster. "Ooh, now that's much nicer!" She did a premature victory dance. "You lost, you lost, you eat apple sauce."
Stumbling back away from the monster with her sword in her hands, Milo was grinning to herself, clearly proud that she'd come so far. A faint tinkling noise, like glass, caught her attention -- and glancing downwards, Milo noticed a bright, crystalline object rolling towards her feet. She bent over to pick it up, curious.
Letting down her guard was the worst thing that she could have done. She picked up the crystal, examining it as she tried to regain her breath. But as Milo was looking, the massive, shadowy monster lunged forward, tentacles whipping through the air.
"Huh?" she looked up just in time to see one large black whip flying towards her.
She didn't have time to scream. It gouged into her chest like the point of her own sword, digging and twisting spitefully in as deep as it could. Milo's head rolled down as she stared in dumb shock towards her chest, before a searing, blinding pain blinded her vision, as though cracking her entire body in two.
Milo screamed, stumbling backwards and falling flat onto her a**. She sat there, taking in weak, shuddering breaths, as both of her hands draped limply to either side of her body. Pain was radiating from her chest every time she breathed. The world was spinning, a mass of bright colors and distorted, muffled screams and shouts. Milo blinked, her eyes glassy. They drooped a little, as she struggled to breathe and stay awake...

Having remained quiet, Jessie kept to herself, any glances her way met with a uneasy smile and perhaps a mumbled greeting. That was until the small cat began to talk again. Ah, perhaps it would now begin to explain what was going on. Instead it only gave her more questions she didn't know the answer to.
"My wish?" Was her reply. If she had a wish, it would be to find out what was going on. But her wish would not be granted, as they were now facing a terrifying creature. She grimaced at the thing, unable to make out it's form appart from a mass of black with tentacles. A thing of nightmares, and she was supposed to fight it.
With a shudder, she looked towards the scythe. The sight of it made her felt relived. She was not defenseless. Picking it up, she edged towards her quarry in order to attack it. When close enough she swung, though it was a very awkward swing all things considered.
With every crack of the beast's body, Magenta felt the power. Her ponytails whipped around as she spun, a dance of damage and hatred.
Oh how she hated this creature. Mr. Fluffy had told her next to nothing Magenta felt nothing but enmity.
It was happiness. A laugh escaped her as black splattered across her clothing. Yes, this was a good thing! She would be the savior of the human race, all would bow at her feet!
Perhaps power was not always a good thing.

Well her first attack didn't seem like it did much, but she couldn't stop there. The fist attack gave her a feel of how to channel the wind with her Fear. Now she just needed to figure out how to make it more effective. She needed to manipulate the wind into something more dangerous. Something that could do some damage. But what? Maria glanced around, looking for ideas. She then remembered Tilly's sword. That's it! A blade! What if she could use her fear to manipulate the wind into blades? It wouldn't hurt to try. Gathering her fear, she once again channeled it through her staff. This time, when she swung her staff, she tried to picture the gust of wind as some kind of curved blade. She watched as the gust of wind sailed toward the monster. This time, a second after it was released it began to change shape. She could see it. She wasn't sure if any one else could. The gust of wind shifted. Going from a round ball like gust, to a thin and flat blade shape. This time when it it the monster, it cut into it. There wasn't much force behind it. But it still did a bit of damage. If she could perfect it, the attack could really be helpful in battle.

The first two attacks were pretty good, but Kai knew that she had to give everything she had in this one! "This is gonna hurt!" she yelled with determination... and yet the blade felt heavier in her arms. It seems as if everything caught up to her.
Oh goody, something to tear her attention away from Moosehead and fuel her rage into something that wasn't dressed in sparkly outfits. Lovely. She flicked her scythe up and charged forward with a war cry.
Her wish? Who knows, she'd focus on that once this thing was dead. Why? Because thinking tended to make Aria flinch and seize up, if the previous fight minutes were any indication. She swung her weapon up and down in an arc, doing a moderate amount of damage. Or she suspected. Nothing particularly exciting happened when she hit it, but she didn't miss either.
Average attack was average.

Soon after she had gone down, Tatiana felt something incredibly soothing. Her vision refocused and she pushed herself up. The cracks in her gem faded and no more black mist leaked out from it. One of the girls seemed to have helped her. Smiling faintly, she nodded to the one who seemed to have healed her.
"Much appreciated. Thank you. Perhaps I vas a little careless. Next time no collapsing, yes?" she said before turning towards Alvar, who shouted out in concern for her.
"Ah! No vorries! Am good as new, see?" she grinned while moving to give the other girl a hearty pat on the back.
One tendril hits you square in the back, and it stings, painful, searing away at you. As you look at it you notice that part of the skin has literally been corroded, black wisps escaping from it. Touching the entire area however, yields a numb, tingling sensation. Your legs start shaking, you feel a moment of unease. A moment later you feel better, if not slightly unnerved by how strong the opponent is. - A few thin cracks appear on your Fear Core. A thick black mist - your Fear perhaps? - seem to be escaping bits of it.
Arietta felt a piercing pain in her back, realizing she had been hit. But instead of a bleeding blow, she felt a stinging pain that refused to subside-- It was a hit on her back, closer to her side. Her hand clutched her side, wincing at the numbness. Common sense dictated the number the wounds, the worse it was.
So this must have been pretty bad.
"Hanna, Green .. " She looked around but gave up finding them, concluding that moving with a wound was worse than staying still. She was near another girl, Thalia, who Arietta caught briefly glancing at her gem.
Her own gem revealed the same marks.
"I guess we both got hit.." She sighed, leaning back against her giant hammer. She tried to smile at Thalia but the movement of leaning back made the wound flare up once again. Oh, back wounds were much more inconvenient than she thought.
Another swift barrage of strikes and a triumphant yell had Cyan surrounded by a halo of rapiers, all poised to strike at the abomination. "MAGNITUDE ELEVEN!" She cried, flicking her wrist that sent the rapiers plunging into the ground around the creature. At first it seemed like nothing, but then the earth began to tremor and shake, fissures cracking around it. A nearly perfect finale.
"Your move! Let's finish this for everyone's sake!"

Her attack was successful, however her evasion skills could have used some work. A lot, in fact. Because just as she was pulling away from the creature, a tendril shot out and hit her directly in the back. At first, it left her stunned, but shortly after the pain the pain set in and caused her to give a yell of pain.
"The hell is that!?" She demanded, panicking to look over her shoulder and immediately regretting her decision in doing so.
The section of her back that had been hit, had been completely corroded and caused a numbing, tingling sensation when she gingerly touched it. Stranger yet, black wisps were oozing out of the wound. The sight of which caused an unnerving feeling that caused her legs to shake in both fear and pain. The sight of the black mist swirling around in her Fear core didn't do much to ease her worries either.
"C-careful guys, its attacks have some kind of weird effect."
The strange thing about energy is that it ebbs and flows. What is charged, spontaneous one moment is flat and dull the next. It wanes, never staying in one spot for very long. Princes became kings, yet kings later gave rise to princes.
So to was it for Magenta. She felt a scream in her soul disperse. Though the hatred bubbled within her, reason tickled in her mind. Her body was small, weak- she was only twelve.
A cry erupted from the blackest part of her heart, the darkness that had been granted to her by QB. "ABYSMAL CHASM," she screamed- though where the words came from were a mystery to her. Suddenly the ground cracked, rocks and pebbles dismissing themselves from gravity's orders. A deep swelling emerged and it seemed the earth was attempting to swallow the monster whole.
Magenta had brought the reckoning.

Gwyn was pumped up by her last attack. She wanted to make this next one special. She spun around on one foot and shot once more. "In prunus veritas!" Three cherry pits shot out, burst into smithereens, and assaulted the target. It looked impressive, but it really didn't do much. "Assassass..." It went without saying she was unhappy about this.
Kai guessed all her attacking was successful, the ??? seemed truly hurt. But it retaliated with a tendril... She felt like she was going to black out, but for the most part, she was fine. She picked up the small crystal. "A healing thing, huh?" She regarded it, and decided not to use it. "Maybe i'll need it later."
'About that wish...' Kai looked at all the other girls. Some were still fighting, but no one seemed to realize she was even there. Which was fine, that didn't bother her at all. She had the feeling she was used to being by herself. 'So, what? I wished to be noticed? Famous?' She shook her head confused.
