Brandy raised an eyebrow and shook her head. "No, I'm fine. I just need something to drink... preferably something strong with a good kick to it." She let go of his hand and began walking towards the table with the foods on it, grabbing a few napkins for herself to wipe the mud off of her hands and arms before scouting for the alcohol.

"So... I can promise you your sister had nothing to do with this...." She said over her shoulder to Azure, bringing up the conversation from before.

"Awww, that's sad," she said before reaching for a third glass, popping a chocolate truffle (possibly spiked) into her mouth before reaching for Atlantis's wrist, pulling him towards the dance floor. "C'mon, let's go have some fun! We deserve it I think"

(Aww, that's nice. Twinkle would probably be a little embarrassed about it later, but shrug it off. She can be a little loose every once in a while with her friend, haha)

Brandy shrugged, pouring herself a generous glass of some liquid that was in the punch bowl; she was pretty sure it was spiked and had no problems with that. Taking a sip and enjoying its flavor and punch, she let her eyes rest on Azure. "Well, for starters, my mother would have made mention to me about 'being on my best behavior' if she was planning to take someone home. Not like it would have changed anything."

He smiled to her and nodded, noting a large rock and leading her over to it to relax for a bit. "I'm not too sure how long we can stay but having some time to rest is the best." He moved beside her and stood there, watching the paths to make sure nothing was coming while she rested up.

"That is true, but I think our odds are better if we follow after it. After all, it had the force to go through the hedge, which means that it could be in a panic of being in this maze as well. Besides, we'd be coming up behind it, which would mean we could figure out if this is a threat or not before engaging." Amadorine took a deep breath. "I think it is our best bet."

"No... it was my mother's meddling. She's been trying for years to get me to leave the house and to socialize. I think part of it is parental and part of it is because she never found herself a partner either." She paused, looking down into her drink for a bit.

At the mention of Azure's 'heartbreak', her head snapped back up and her eyes locked on him, waiting for him to continue; it was strange but she was growing rather comfortable around him. It had to be the alcohol. Instead of pressing the matter right away for his past, she bit her lip in thought.

"Well... I know she tries, but she's just so irritatingly nice all the time that it drives me crazy. Most of the time she's got no backbone, and the few times she does she caves easily with enough pressure." She shook her head. "And she doesn't understand me; she never will. Not until she grows fins and even then she still won't understand what it was like growing up with having no answers to my questions." She paused for a bit, then let her eyes flicker back to Azure. "So... what happened?" He didn't have to answer, but she was curious to know more about him.

Azure was studying Brandy, listening to her sad story, seeing how it affected her. Azure didn't know who his parents were either, but that was ok with him he knew who he was. It seemed like Brandy was missing half of her identity being a naiad with an angel mother. "My sister's kids... they probably understand how you feel a little. Trager is an angel like me, but their dad is a naiad, so they're sort of torn between two worlds. At least from what she's told me." He hadn't seen his nephews very much while they were grown.

He was thankful that Brandy hadn't pressed him for more information, he hadn't meant to say anything about it, just being here... in the Goddess of Love's home made him dwell on it more then usual. He had been able to use the maze to stop thinking about it and focus his energy elsewhere, but it was hard now. Azure raised his eyebrow at Brandy as she spoke about her mother. Kahlua actually sounded a lot like he could get at some points, it was something he worked hard trying to fix: growing a backbone. A lot of his progress was lost after he fell apart though.

Azure didn't want to say anything, but his mouth opened anyways. "This girl..." she was amazing, "we were best friends from the time that we were really young, and then we were more. One day, she was just gone. I don't even know what happened, it probably had something to do with her dad, he never approved of me." He put me through hell to get her. Azure frowned and finally caved in and poured himself a cup of that punch, wanting to drown his thoughts.



Louise looked over Tariq's shoulder at the map he held, she pointed at the mark in the center, "That doesn't look good... maybe we should avoid the center..." she suggested. How would they even do that though, since she couldn't figure out where they were on the map or which direction they were facing. Louise then pointed at one of the arrows moving around the map and followed it with her finger... "Do you think these things are us? Or something else..." Louise wondered how many groups the pae had split into, she couldn't make sense of it though. She shook her head, the map just seemed like a dead end, it wouldn't help them unless they figured out where they were. The other groups had already gone off in different directions and left them alone here. "Ugh, which way should we go now?" she asked Tariq.
