"That's because you are drunk," Harrison said affectionately, "But you didn't make an a** of yourself. There's more glasses."
He put his plate down, then took Rep's hand, gently prying it open.
"...Got it pretty good. We oughta wash it off." Harrison examined the hand closely, then turned the sink on. Melvin had left supplies on the counter.
"Fighting's traditional, anyhow. At least it was at my house. ...Sorry if this hurts. Don't want to leave any glass in there."

Rep pouted, but it was with just a little more earnestness and a fraction less sarcasm than usual, he was aware he was feeling pitifully sorry for himself, but he'd been honestly trying and alcohol made it so much easier to be emotional. "M'not that drunk." He protested weakly, relinquishing his hand to Harrison without a protest. "M'sober enough to know better."
As the injury was investigated he couldn't help but protest "Naw, naw man it's no big deal." , feeling guilty to even concern Harrison over what had been a momentary temper tantrum at Ofie. "And pain's no.. notta big deal, if I was able to stick the glass in there, I can handle whatever I earned."
He found himself steadying himself just a bit against the moon hunter with his other hand, still a bit worse for wear with drink.
"Yer family fought too?"

"Back when I was a kid. When my dad was still around," Harrison said, keeping the tap running low and putting Rep's hand under it. He looked for glass once the blood was out of the way, and picked out a sliver with his fingernails.
Back under the tap.
"We'd go out to eat at Shoney's, then come home and watch football. Not that there's any chance of that around here. ...I don't know how long it's been since I've seen any kind of ball game. This'll be two years running that I've missed the world series."

Rep tensed up as Harrison drew out the sliver of glass but didn't make a sound. Tracey tutted disapprovingly in his thoughts, not all that keen on unnecessary workload and rather glad Harrison was there to ease it up. The discussion took his mind off of the anxieties lurking in the next room.
"I used to go to the fitba with the .." he almost said guys but that had bafflingly different connotations for him these days. "With my mates. I could never really get into it, I tried though. I mainly liked the fighting, the old firm and s**t like that." The water was ******** cold. "But they'd all been going since they were wee boys with their das too I guess."

The kitchen lighting wasn't ideal, but Harrison didn't see any more glass. He thumbed a section of the wound, slowly easing back the skin's edge to make sure the shine was just from the cut.
"He used to come to my games."
Harrison fished some gauze and neosporin out from the medkit on the counter, wrapping up Rep's palm, but not too tight.
"This is better than patching up at my house. All we had was washcloths and expired bandaids."

Rep kept his attention as firmly as he could on anything other than his hand. He didn't want to say something flippant like "that must have been nice" at having a parent come to games, but at the same time there was interest and then there was being nosey so he didn't want to ask too closely for details either.
"When people got injured at my house we just like, had to deal with it. Or if it was like, bad enough, phone the hospital and s**t. I couldn't really like do anything about it. Just had to go to the neighbours and ask them to call 999 or give me money for a taxi."

Leon's foresight in giving her only three-quarters of a cup of alcohol probably saved Eva a lot of trouble. The drink was making her feel warm and happy, but not to the point where her mind was completely fogged up. This was quick an achievement, considering what a lightweight the young woman was.
At the very least, she was sober enough to sense the glare coming from Melvin as the man sat himself back down. Turning to look at him, she gingerly piped up with a careful, "Thank you for setting this up for us, Melvin. Cooking, decorating--it was a lot of fun." A small smile, and then she glanced back to the blond boy beside her, lifting her brows as she took in his appearance. Lifting a cool hand, she pressed it against his flushed face.
...Well, that was odd. It wasn't as if he had been drinking either, if that glass of juice was any indication.
Oh well, maybe he was finally getting into the mood of the dinner! Of course, even in her slightly hazy state, she was made quite aware of the sudden, sharp voice and then the slamming door. There was a pause as she stared at the door rather blankly--what had happened, exactly?--before she was distracted by the sound of muffled laughter. Smiling at Otto's attempt to stifle his laughter, she shook her head, stood up, and reached forward to fill Hazel's cup for her.

"Didn't have your own personal moon service?" Harrison asked, smirking.
He finished with Rep's hand, and respooled the gauze that didn't get used, repacking the medkit. He washed his hands, then rescued his plate, leaning casually against the counter next to Rep before digging in.
"...I'm hoping that baking smell's from dessert."

"Naw, clearly I'm ******** spoiled now, moon at my beck and call." he said with a subtle fond smirk that may or may not have conveyed "if you weren't eating right now, I'd kiss you". "And daft bastards willing to help me out too. " he gave Rin a look too, her following him hadn't gone unnoticed or unappreciated.
"We should go back in."

Jordan sighed quietly. Good job, Jerry, you forced the issue and got your answer. Please, please, drop it now. He took another drink and reached for the turkey; if things exploded, he'd rather have had at least something to eat first. He didn't expect Leon to snipe at Rep. He'd thought that that particular feud would be at least temporarily ignored, particularly in the wake of the sudden tension, but apparently not. Rep stalked off, and Jordan started to push his chair back to follow, but Rin and Harrison were up first, and Jordan kept his seat. They'd do just fine. He cast a pained look at Leon, but didn't say anything; there'd been enough drama already without him firing back. Ofelia emerged from the kitchen, said her piece, and vanished in a huff. Okay then. Melvin appeared shortly afterward, looking sour. Jordan didn't blame him. The guy had done a lot to get this organized, and some people were being petty and impolite. He added to Eva's statement, "Thanks, Melvin. It's a really nice dinner." It would have felt more like Thanksgiving with a dog or three snuffing around under the table and being told not to beg, but that wasn't possible. ... What in the world was Hazel doing to her food? Jordan stared, and couldn't help a snort of laughter.

Rin looked on quietly as the two men sorted out the injury. She made zero move to intervene. Harrison was.... Harrison. He was different and clearly knew what he was doing. She still felt rather useless, but at least he sorted out Rep and he looked like he was possibly happy again. A concept which seemed to soothe her as a smile crept across her features.
She waited for the possibility of Rep to be looking her way before shooting him a wink and popping off her chair. She turned and scurried back out of the kitchen. Leaving them alone together as she went to find her seat outside again. She offered Sasha an apologetic look before looking around for edible food, "So... potatoes?"

The life trainee was still sipping on wine casually as his own death threat was returned with him. It didn't matter. The hunter was too busy in thought on figuring out the best way to go through with it. The salad was untouched the entire time as he passed the plate of potatoes over toward Rin's direction.
"Starch ahoy."

Sasha dished up a heaping helping of potatoes for Rin, peering around the table for anything that could be considered gravy. A smaller pile of the starchy vegetable was added to her plate before she scooped a healthy portion of the potatoes up for Wash. "I'm skipping turkey," she mumbled, eyeing the stuff with distaste before she reached for the rolls, the salad, stuffing, and anything else that looked remotely appetizing. The whiskey that sat between her plate and Rin's went untouched, and would remain untouched for the remainder of the evening. The gentle pressure of Wash's hand on her knee made everything else bearable - most especially the weepy man that sat towards the head of the table.

Roland only chuckled at Rep, "King it is man, king it is." He poured the cups letting each of the three take there cup before raising his own to agree with Harrison. Sipping the whiskey he let out a shiver, the stuff was easily twice as strong as what him and Jordan shared the last time they drank.
Still he left the three to themselves, let them have the dinner together, they where more family to each other then he was and he didn't want to try and spoil what good will he and Rep had going so he took a seat randomly going to town on the dishes and sipping his drink.
Over time he ate, but something caught his attention, Rep and Harrison, Jerry as well. Eventually Rep and Harrison left the room. He raised the bottle at Jordan again offering a shrug, an offer to pass the time, preferably without any drama between them at all.
It was then his phone buzzed. Picking it up he flipped through the latest message. Nevada was here? Tapping away he let out a slight smile.Nyxtsuki Moon Text to Nap Queen: Yeah I'm here just sitting towards the middle of the table? Come get some turkey! He waved again to Jordan trying to summon the other hunter over. "C'mon man don't just sit there trying not to laugh at her." He waved a fork towards Hazel, "You can meet Nevada, she should be here soon, she's somewhere around here..."

Nevada watched her phone is buzzed on the table and smiled. Reading the text message, she slid herself out of her spot and right where Roland told her he was.
Her arms of course came around his neck as she leaned over, "Hello handsome. Happy Thanksgiving..." She cooed as she looked at the ones that surrounded him. There was Otto, Eva, The moon girl who had devoured right off her plate.
A strawberry blonde hunter...Sun hunter it looked like.
"Good evening Other hunters." She managed to squeeze herself in next to Roland, stealing a piece of turkey from his plate.
