I was never a fan of torture on supernatural creatures like me, but I am definitely willing to make an exception for him."  By the time Caesar had returned, Fields was seated in his usual spot at the dining table, staring at the demon that was now their prisoner. A shrug was his reply. "Ein don't really know." he admitted. "Ein didn't think ve vould get this far. Ein might as vell restrain him for vhen he vakes up." Upon closer inspection anyone could see that the doctor was tense, but anyone would be when they were standing next to such a casual looking Caesar.

"You might want to keep him drugged. He will be a problem when he is awake and I have a feeling my temper might get the best of me if he starts running his mouth." Noticing the venom Caesar spat, Fields was reminded of the psychotic state the boy went into earlier. "Do you really believe vhat he said?" he asked quietly.

"He may be lying but the possibility does nothing to calm my desire to tear him to bits. He may not have killed any of my kind but he did stab you so I want him to die nonetheless." As he spoke the last sentence, his eyes went black and his fingernails dug in to the table slightly. Fields nodded and looked over to the sleeping demon. He wasn't quite sure how to feel about what Caesar said, about how he wanted to rip Armageddon apart for getting him hurt. The memory of the stabbing, though, made the doctor subconsciously put a hand to his stomach, feeling out the cut that was no longer there thanks to Caesar. He could still remember seeing Caesar so angry, such despair on his face, as he went berserk and began destroying the entire gym.

Seconds later, Caesar closed his eyes and took a deep breath in and out, doing his best to calm down. It wasn't easy for him since he had been so used to a lifestyle where he would kill whoever he wanted to kill and not even have a reason to do so.
He opens his eyes after calming, a hand running through his hair as he released a heavy sigh. "Do you know what it is like to feel so helpless and so alone to where you just beg for your life to end? It is a pitiful feeling that just builds up in the pit of your stomach. Wasting away with no one to even care about you...it's pathetic really." Caesar rests his head on the table, mainly talking now just to keep calm. "I used to think humans were so fascinating, I loved to observe them and would watch how they lived their lives. I saw bad people and kind hearted people who were completely normal yet they did such heroic things. They were so strong willed and gave me a purpose in life. Oh how naive I was..." The doctor watched Caesar with interest. He was definitely going through a great deal right now, he looked like he was ready to break down any minute. To feel helpless. He had to admit, seeing the boy like this with him unable to do anything made him feel helpless himself. The way Caesar spoke, Fields felt that the World Wars had something to do with his loss of hope for humanity. He didn't blame him. He wasn't too happy about his race, seeing what the media has done to it.
"Surely not all humans are that bad." he said.

Caesar looks over at Fields before looking back down at the table, his eyes giving a far away look. "That may be true, but it only took one human to ruin my hope for the rest of you. I thought he was a kind man since he gave me shelter on a rainy day. It had been a week since I had started walking among the humans and observing them so I hadn't gotten a place of my own yet. He seemed kind enough and it wasn't long before I had fallen asleep in the warm bed he had given me. I was grateful until I had woken up." Caesar taps the table with his index finger lightly as he continued to tell his story. "I woke up in a room completely filled with lights, not a single corner or wall unlit. It was the ultimate hell for a shadow demon like me, especially since I was recently created. Anyways, I spent about 5 years being drugged, stabbed, beaten, experimented on, anything you can think of, he did it." "So you vere experimented on." Fields murmured, unable to help but see a coincidence in this. Perhaps this was why Caesar helped him find his rival. Maybe his rival was the one to do all of that to him. To think that he could have tortured Caesar, to put him in such pain and make him lose all hope for humanity... Fields looked down to notice himself clenching his fists. He had to remain calm, it might not be him that did it.

"I don't know what happened with him but he somehow forgot to drug me and came to take me elsewhere, I pretended to be asleep until it was the right moment and managed to beat him to death out of rage. I remember yelling to his lifeless body that if he was going to be heartless, that he didn't need the one sitting in his chest so I shoved my hand inside and tore out his heart before I ate it. The action just kind of stuck with me, as did the urge to slaughter any human who crossed my path." Dead, so that meant this wasn't his rival. But was this the reason Caesar devoured hearts? Looking to the boy, Fields moved his chair towards him and rested a hand on his shoulder. "It's long over now, you don't have to vorry about him anymore." he said softly.
