There was another nod as Mitsu followed Shun out of the bakery and back toward the jerky store. She had paused again on the way to stare at the Red Moon Tavern but realized she was being left behind and had to hustle to keep up.

When they finally reached the store in question Mitsu followed Shun inside her eyes lighting up at all the smells. There was meat of all kinds and some Mitsu wasn't sure she really wanted to know where it came from. They came in a variety of flavors, some of the meat was kept in barrels with tight lids for self serve and others were in pre-made packages. Most of the jerky was of manageable size but there were some pieces Mitsu was certain was longer than her arm. What had that come from?

As Mitsu continued to search she even found dried vegetables and fruits. It seemed this store had everything as long as it was preserved and dried.

Mitsu didn't even know where to begin when it came to picking something out for herself. She set the basket down in the meantime so that she could sniff at the various meat varieties. There were spices and sugars that covered the majority of everything but she just couldn't overlook the giant piece of jerky already pre-packaged and ready to go. She slid it off the shelf and held it close to sniff but it was sealed and prevented her nose from picking up anything.

The piece of jerky had to be no less than two feet in length and five inches across and she held it up for Shun to see what she had found. "What about this?"

Considering his warning Mitsu reluctantly placed the large piece of jerky back on the shelf and kept looking. The next item she managed to find was much smaller. A small bag of brown sugar cured beef jerky. She held the item up for Shun to see, collecting the basket of groceries and trotting over toward him to see what he had found.

Sniffing at the bag in his hand she couldn't help but feel overwhelmed but the variety of selection. "This is for Hel?" It seemed he had gotten her a little bit of everything to try.

With her jerky back in her hands Mitsu went ahead and opened the package, grabbed a handful and shoved it in her mouth. She had just started to chew when Shun asked if he could have some and she smiled sheepishly and pulled out a single piece and held it up for him to take. So generous.

When he didn't ask for anything more Mitsu closed up the package of jerky and stashed it for later. The amused sound caught her attention and she tilted her head curiously trying to figure out why he had done it. She was starting to narrow down it was food related. Or at least so she thought. She likely was going to have to experiment.

For now she rose up on her tip toes and pressed a kiss to Shun's cheek. "Thank you." She shifted the basket in her hands and waited for Shun to be ready before they headed back toward Jenna and Alister's place.

When they arrived Jenna was in the kitchen busy fussing over a few pots on the stove and checking on something in the oven. When Mitsu and Shun arrived with her goods she smiled and took the basket and began to put the items away. "Thank you, screechies. What did you think of your walk through the market?"

"It's grown quite a bit in the last few years even." Jenna explained going back to her pots on the stove and stirring the contents. Whatever she was making gave off a rich and warm smell. It was likely to be good. "If you go out later be sure to be back for dinner. I've made plenty for the two of you." It was hard to say why she had taken to catering to them so easily but it seemed Jenna enjoyed having the two in the house. Someone else to feed.

Mitsu watched Shun for a moment wondering if he was going to lay down again. She knew he was still recovering from his illness but she was almost anxious now to go back out. Saying nothing she instead moved to the sink where Jenna had already piled up some dishes putting the food on the stove together and began to clean.

While Shun had rested Mitsu had done some odd chores around the house only pausing when Alister came home and pointed to her head. That was the sign she needed to change the bandages or he was likely to do it for her. Quietly she moved into the other room and had done so and there she relaxed until Shun finally got back up.

As far as their destination was concerned there was one place that Mitsu wanted to go. "I-I want to see the Red Moon Tavern." She said softly. There was a part of her that was nervous to go but it was also possible she would learn something about her family.

"Oh the Red Moon Tavern?" Jenna asked overhearing their conversation. "I think you'll both like it. It's a place where the younger crowd gather. Try not to drink too much hot cider." She didn't explain why but waved them off as she left into another room.

With their destination in mind Mitsu followed Shun back outside and toward town where they had seen the tavern last. She was fidgeting with her jacket which was a good sign that she was nervous, but why?
