Unfortunately for Petro, Bix didn't really view the boil as a rival in the grand scheme of things. He was just another weirdo Amityville student with a grudge. The albino was much more concerned with the twisted monster who'd almost killed him last year, the paranoia of his insanity, and sticking with his girl. Bix's eyes cast to Ceres momentarily before he fled to another block of rubble to hide behind.

A minute to regroup would be all that they got. The maw that the creature opened was....glowing. They needed to get rid of it and quickly. Danger. Run.
But with Yin...ran the wrong way, charging back into the fray after a far too short respite. His Fear boiled up and he lashed out, claws a blur. Despite the fact that the creature was massive he still missed several of his blows, but a fair amount of his attacks hit. It was only after his Fear began to slake off a bit that he even though about the fact that he was supposed to be conscious of another again, that there was someone he needed to protect. The voices in his mind whispered that it was not too late, he could still run, hide. But he had to protect if he could just concentrate on that.

Xiu was clearly relieved to see that Selene was alright, though when the professor suggested that they should leave the fight to the adults, the baku simply shook her head. "Unfortunately, whether it's a good thing or a bad thing, Amity students aren't so keen on simply standing back and watching as things unfold. We--"
She cut herself abruptly when she heard a gunshot, turning to look for the source of the sound and smiling wryly when her gaze fell on Mot. Oh good--snapped back to the present situation, had he? She gave the cowboil a nod, only to frown in confusion as her gaze flickered towards the giant creature.
...Had its runes just changed? It seemed to alternate between glowing brighter and dimming, changing with the strikes that it sustained. That was interesting. Could it be...?
"Sorry professor," She murmured, offering Selene a small smile, "I'm curious about something. Please excuse me." There was a pause, and then she gave a little bow.
"Please be careful, and stay safe, professor."
And then back into the fray she went.

Studiously ignoring the giant, glowing mouth of the creature, Xiu made her way up for another hit, ears alert and eyes bright as she swung a fist out, following through the hit with her whole body. Almost immediately after feeling the attack connect, she jumped back a few steps, her curious gaze fixated on the runes running along the creature's body. Would they change? Would they dim, or would they brighten?
Xiu felt that she was possibly starting to get an idea on what was going on...but at the same time, she still had a lot of unanswered questions about this whole thing, most notably about the exact identity of the creature they were fighting now.

Bone fingers moved to pat Selene gently on the shoulder as she helped support the teacher. She nodded quietly as Selene leaned closer before going on to explain.
"She. Because she... was Red." She stood up a bit straighter, the bone hand no longer comforting on Selene's shoulder clenched into a fist burning bright and purple.
She turned towards Xiu nodding as the ghoul started to move away as well, "Take care professor." She turned back towards the raging dragon a heavy weight settling in her chest.
"I'd prefer not to kill you again Red... I really would..." she mummbled as she started walking towards the beast. "Xiu... do you have an idea, of whats going on?"

She seemed to have made Shun upset but she didn't know what to do. Even with everyone attacking it nothing seemed to be happening other than they were making the creature very very angry. It had reared back, its mouth open like it was getting ready to send a river of flames their way. Was she really doing any good here at all?
Her eyes darted from the reaper to another figure that had joined the fight again. She watched Xiu almost curiously before she pulled back from the creature a tad more.

"IM FINE!" She called out in reply, taking a break from attacking the monster to back up to where Bix decided to hide at. Instead of darting behind some rubble though, she was partially peeking out and watching the monster, and anyone whom dared come close, with apprehension.

They brightened! Startled, Xiu's next attack only grazed the creature, and she was quick to jump back to where Sammy was. "There's still a lot that I'm not clear on, but...those runes, they glowed when I hit her just now, but it looks like they dim whenever one of the Hunters attack." Frowning, she absentmindedly adjusted her gloves, staring up at the insanity creature, "Are we feeding her fear with our attacks?"
If that was really Red, would they able to save her if they filled her with enough fear? Or were they mistaken, and simply feeding the creature more power for her upcoming attack?
In either case, Xiu suddenly wasn't so keen on letting the Hunters attack. No matter how she looked at it, the dimming of the runes didn't seem like a good thing. She didn't want the same thing that happened a year ago to happen again.

"I'm sorry," Roch said, still behind the others. He tugged his guitar strap over his shoulder, bringing his fingers to the A chord. He felt torn about this. Was there a chance to get Red back? Possibly? For a second his fingers went down, falling on the C chord instead--
Then he looked at the beast that was once Red. At least... he thought it had once been Red. Was it crueler to try and heal her? It would just lengthen the time she was beat on. Wasn't it kinder just to... He looked down, moving his fingers on the strings deliberately and calling up his FEAR.
Wasn't it kinder to make this fast? He looked at her glowing red eyes as he used his battle cry, once again knowing he could be making the wrong choice.

Well just her luck as Tori came down from the stairs to find that there was a huge creature at the bottom and she wanted to see if she could find Sherry and Jake or any of her other friends. Tori didn't know who this large creature was but she knew it had to fall and hard. Smiling wide as she was ready for a fight even if she did look over her shoulder as she kept thinking she was hearing voices. Aklin was even more excited than his hunter as he wanted to make loud noised but refrained since Tori still had a headache.
Tori summoned her weapon and charged at the large creature and keeping her sword up as she ran. Slashing as hard as he could letting the built up anger flow from it to her blade in to the creature from her attack. Aklin murred in much delight.

Still halfway out amongst the rubble, She managed to grab another swing at the monsters misty form, wondering for a brief moment if they really were doing any damage at all to the beast.
The runes seemed to be glowing brighter... was that a good sign?
"Stay back." She mumbled at Bix, using her free hand to push him behind the rubble once more if he tried to peek out. To the onlookers this would seem like a typical Moonie-move, protecting a sun. The man on the other hand would see the difference... because Ceres really was only defending him, and not protecting herself. Normally she did the first, but the latter she also normally put some effort in to as well. A dead moonie would be no help now would they?
