Clemence crawled quietly back into her old position, in front of the lake, pulling out her mp3. "Why do I even have this song?" she stared curiously at the others. "People,"
((so i'm going to be focussing on some school work for a while. i'll be back on as soon as my grades are better))

(I'm sorry! I didn't get back on cause I didn't see the forum T w T ) (It's all good.)  Jay instantly moved, dispersing the energy almost immediately into his soul for storage. Get the enemy surprised, and boom. He attempted a punch, knowing it was packed with enough power to send her flying over the lake. Clemence felt the force of the punch as it dashed past her face, leaving a light but distinguishable mark on her face. From him being within range, she pulled back her hand, slamming the stored energy from the previous surge into the fist. (I hate to mention this, but I've moved off somewhere, but in the forum post. :/) UPDATE: Jay just frowned at people's ignorance, as he did now. 'Fine,' he murmured and, forgetting about his previous battle, went off to find something else to do. (to Death Ice Cream Shop) UPDATE! ^

Magnus walked along the shoreline of the lake, until he found a shady tree. He sat down under it, letting out a sigh as he leaned against the trunk. He looked down at the piece of paper in his hand with the name and picture of his new partner, wondering what she would be like.

Dakota sauntered into the forest. Looking around, she noticed the boy Lord Death had told her to be partners with. Making sure the piece of paper matched his appearance, she walked slowly towards him. Finally looking off the scribble of words, Dakota looked down to see her new partner. " Hello. Nice to meet you. " Dakota smiled down at Magnus. " My name is Dakota. May I ask for yours? "

Magnus's eyes snapped open as he heard a girls voice. "Oh, hello," said Magnus apologetically as he got to his feet. "I'm Magnus Maxwell, of the Maxwell family. It's a pleasure to meet you." He bowed slightly as he looked at her. She looked like the girl in the picture who was to be his Weapon and the name was the same as well. "Would you be the Weapon Dakota Heart, who I'm partnered with?" He asked politely.

Dakota Heart Dakota nodded. " Yep. I like your name, by the way, Magnus. " She held out her hand to shake his. " Is there anything you would like me to help you with at the moment? " Dakota tried seeming nice, but deep down she would turn to her normal self as soon as the two started talking more.

Dakota Heart " If you want to. " Dakota said, sitting down, feeling the wind brush against her hair. " After all of this, maybe I can show you my weapon forum, if thats alright with you of course. " Dakota smiled a small smile, keeping her eyes on Magnus.

"That would be excellent," Magnus replied with a smile as he sat down with her. Her big brown eyes reminded him of a deer for some reason. He continued his polite smile, waiting for her to tell him about herself.

Dakota Heart " Ok, so. Here it goes. Don't get weirded out by my past. " Dakota laughed. " I was born on August. Meaning, my zodiacal sign is leo. My mother was a deer/human, and my father was just human. I guess that explains the markings and brown eyes. But anyway, my mother died about 3 weeks later. My father is still alive, but I have no idea where he is. So, I'm guessing its like a long-lost-father or something. My name would have been Fawn if my mother hadn't died. So, my father named me Dakota. Though, its kind of a boy name, I actually like it. " Sighing from talking, she waited for Magnus's response.

Magnus's eyes widened as he listened to Dakota tell her tale. "You're mother was a deer...!?" he asked, unable to help himself. He quickly cleared his throat. "I apologize. It is certainly unusual, but it does lend to your lovely complexion," He continued honestly. "I'm sorry about your mother." He thought about what else to say. A deer human was something he'd never heard of before. But she hadn't mentioned their names or lineages which means she definitely wasn't of noble birth. His parents wouldn't like that. He could hear them now "You have an animal for your partner!?" he could hear them say. "Not just a commoner but an animal!? Are you TRYING to shame us!?" He frowned slightly, thinking of anything he could say that would make them understand. He had nothing. He hid his emotions and gave her a smile. "Dakota's a lovely name," he said.

Dakota Heart Dakota smiled back. " Thank you. " She sighed. " I'm sorry if i'm a problem at times. I tend to...get made fun of. " Sighing a heavier sigh, she looked straight into Magnus eyes. Dakota noticed something was different, the way his mood changed. She shook it off the head and looked towards him more. " So, mind telling me about yourself? " Smiling back towards him.
