Akumi saw Jean drop down into the alley after several seconds as Noriko pushed off, somersaulting into a roll before she hopped up onto a power line and shot off, sparks rippling from her sneakers as well as thin tendrils of smoke. Akumi cocked his head as he pushed off, not using his superhuman speed, but his natural speed, which was fairly quick and nearly on par with an Olympic sprinter. He pushed off at the last moment, springing up into the air and landing on an industrial strength air conditioning fan before he cartwheeled off. He darted forward, pushing off again and springing from the edge of a gutter pipe to the edge of the next building, not even landing on the roof in between as he darted along the edge of the roof. Twila watched wondering how they didn't fall and get hurt. It looked rather dangerous. Especially running on power lines.

Akumi glanced up, pushing off again as he somersaulted, swinging beneath the support of one of the power poles and darting along the power lines himself a few feet behind Noriko. "Don't worry... knowing Noriko, at least, she knows how to not manage her momentum as not to fall, and it's clear that Akumi in his feline form has enhanced reflexes and agility... though I'm curious as to how he knew about the telepathic thread I used to keep track of you two and how he teleported, if that was what he did," Jean whispered in Twila's mind, her tone thoughtful but cautious.

QuietNinja96 Twila nodded guessing it made some sence. Though as far as teleporting gos....she had no clue. And the telepathic thread... maybe it was visible to him? She shruged abit. It all was science, magic stuff she didn't quite understand.

Akumi cocked his head as he ran, balancing on the power line. I'm not sure what I did myself, but I'm certain that that gemstone, had it stayed in Noriko's hands, would have either siphoned off so much of her energy it would have killed her or it would have siphoned off enough of her energy to incapacitate her and possibly send off a concussion wave in the form of an explosion, he said telepathically. Jean recoiled slightly. "What makes you so sure?" she said carefully. Just a feeling... an instinct, I guess. As to your telepathic thread; kinda expected it, to be honest. Anyone who thinks strategically would realize that keeping track of allies, regardless of their experience, will save lives, he said idly. Jean laughed, amused. "You could probably rival Logan with that way of thinking, then," she said wryly.
How about we see how fast in short bursts I can go? Akumi thought, his green eyes twinkling mischeviously. A low sound like a plucked guitar string followed as he vanished, materializing several buildings ahead of Noriko as dust swirled around his sneakers. Thin tendrils of smoke were rising from the sneakers as well. He smirked slightly, pushing off and somersaulting a couple of times before he landed on top of the X-Van, which swerved momentarily before it settled down. "Be careful about doing that without warning someone," Jean said chidingly.

Twila watched for a few more seconds then decided to see how high up she could fly. She tried it once before but it was on a cold day and not a good idea. The weither didn't seem that bad so she flew up. It was kind of fun watching the rest of the people, buildings and streets get smaller and smaller. She noticed the air was getting abit colder the higher she went. Finealy getting to a cloud she flew threw it just for fun giggleing abit at the cold water vapors. Folding her wings against her back, she leaned back and let herself fall for fun. Keeping an eye on the ground she giggled some more. This was her idea of fun. Twisting in air abit she opened her wings slightly to glide. Then once slowed down enough opened her wings fully to stop. ' now to find where everyone is...' she thought looking for where they were.

Noriko blinked as she saw Akumi materialize ahead of her before she skidded to a stop, still balancing on the power line. She sighed before she shot forward, a thin layer of electricity between her feet and the power line. She tilted her head upward as she saw a cloud contort momentarily before she saw Twila; she saw the mansion roughly a block and a half ahead and saw the X-Van pulling up the driveway, but no sign of Akumi. Why do I get the feeling he's up to no good? she thought before she heard something behind her and spun. In the process she lost her balance and fell, but was somewhat startled when something caught her in a blur of movement as Akumi swept beneath her and caught her bridal style.
"For an electrokinetic, you seem clumsy at times," he remarked cheekily. Akumi saw Noriko blush before she sighed, spotting Twila several yards behind them.

Twila spotted them after a bit then the mansion. She flew twards the building, it wasn't that long by air. She landed on the roof top and sat down fanning her wings out abit to catch sunlight and warm up. The feathers were still abit cold and damp from flying threw a cloud. Closeing her eyes she relaxed ' might hide up here a lot... rather quiet.... its nice'

Akumi cocked his head, flying after her though Noriko leaped off almost the moment they landed and went into the widow's walk and into the mansion. "So you did the same thing and flew through a cloud, eh?" he said with amusement; he was shivering slightly, though it wasn't from being wet. It was mostly from adrenaline.

Twila nodded with a smile "Yeah. Flying threw clouds is fun... just cold." She shivered. "On the bright side... no traffic up there but plains... or birds... but other then that nothing to crash into."

Akumi shrugged. "Then it's a really good thing that it's sunny today," he said wryly with amusement before a towel hit him in the back of the head. "You know that flying through clouds without drying off afterward can get you sick, eh?" an amused voice said as the tall blond leaned against the railing of the widow's walk behind them; he too had large white wings held over his shoulders and deep blue eyes. Akumi glanced at his hand, where the small starburst markings were, now one of deep golden yellow and the other a bright crimson red.

Twila nodded " Though on realy warm summer days, haveing black feathers is a curse...." She said then looked back at the other person with wings. " Yep... though sun drying is easyer then useing towls." she replyed.

Akumi saw the blond guy looking amused. "True, though for those of us without wings," he said blandly. Akumi rolled his eyes as he rubbed the towel on his head as he laid back against the roof. "Don't worry too much about that, Warren," he said blandly. The blond man, Warren Worthington III, blinked in surprise. "Didn't expect me to recognize ya, hai? If you know what to look for, recognizing anyone is pretty easy," he said blandly.

Twila shook out her wings abit to try and dry them faster. "Im pretty shure without wings air drying is still easyer.... Then you dont get a towl dirty and have to wash it.... though... when you get out of a shower your clean right? Then how do towles get dirty...." She frowned confused.

Akumi shrugged. "No idea... makes no sense when you think about it... if we're clean, then how can we make something dirty?" he said with a thoughtful deadpan tone.
