Irene followed Iris dutifully, but she frowned at the explanation, or lack thereof. "Just some guy?" she repeated, not sure she understood. "Then why is it important that we meet him?" Her real question- why Iris had singled her out among the Asteroids to see this guy- went unasked. For all Irene knew, she was only being invited as ********* chauffeur. The thought was not a pleasant one. She knew she had things she could offer to her team that would be helpful, valuable! She just didn't know what they were yet.

Maybe Iris was trying to comfort her in a way, showing her that other people had difficulty digesting the glut of information that came out at these events. She had no idea whether this was really the case or not, but the thought helped to alleviate her worry nonetheless. "We're not going over to get, er, splattered with brain, are we?" Irene asked, trying to get into the proper spirit of things. She didn't approve of Iris' uncouth methods, but working with her leader had taught her to pick her battles, and choice of words wasn't nearly as important as, say, the value of teamwork.

Once they were functioning better as a whole, though, she might revisit this particular battlefield. Irene respected Iris, but wasn't sure how others could when the rainbow senshi had a mouth like a trucker.

Progress? Here? Aquarius almost laughed at the thought, but she bit it back and shot Chronos a quick response. Understood. Be careful. Her warning, she was sure, was completely unnecessary, but because she wasn't going, she wanted to give a gentle reminder. It was for the best that she was staying. She knew that. She had been avoiding battle whenever possible for months, and because of that, she couldn't really consider herself qualified to protect anyone, much less her princess. It was painful, thinking about what a failure of a senshi she was. She could hear Aries' voice in her head, chiding her, presenting a list of all her faults, demanding to know why someone like her got to live while the strong Captain of the Zodiacs had died. It hurt so much- but dying, she reminded herself, hurt more. Shutting harrowing images and hurtful words out of her mind, Aquarius tucked her phone away and turned back to the conversation. Or, more accurately, the shouting match.

The subject of Dark Mirror Senshi interested Aquarius, but no more so than the subjects of Knights. They had invaded the Surrounding, and she supposed she should feel some indignation about that, but she couldn't bring herself to care enough. She felt so detached from things, having focused solely on her own survival for so long. It was clear from the action in front of her that other people were not as apathetic about the situation as she was. There were tantrums, hugging, and one truly vicious outburst. Aquarius couldn't help but smile as the cat stalked out of the meeting, with a little girl close on her tail. Seeing someone else blow up like that had soothed her own feelings, and the pressure building up inside her eased, as though she was the one who'd yelled and let it all out. For the moment, she didn't have the desire to beat up the people around her. She would have to find this cat later and offer up her profound thanks. Maybe she would survive this meeting after all.

Then another senshi began to sing and dance mockingly, and Aquarius facepalmed. Maybe her celebration was premature. There were still other topics on the agenda, and having sworn to keep Chronos updated, she couldn't duck out early if she got overwhelmed. The subject of information gathering was interesting at least, since that was her sole purpose in attending the meeting, and she was now doing it in an "official" capacity. She had nothing to contribute to the discussion, being one of the least-informed senshi there, but she got her notebook back out and was poised to jot down everything that seemed relevant.

"Can I get this updated with internet access??" Oberon chirped from somewhere amidst the crowd, trying to get the cat and Princess lady's attention, before finally just making his way through the legs of the crowd to hover in front of the stage as he did earlier when complaining about how there weren't any snacks.

He lifted the phone up to show the cat named Cora and the Princess lady Polaris. "See? Here is where there should be an application to get onto the internet. I don't even care what browser. I think it would be really awesome if we could get this updated though."

Talk about the DMC and Negaverse? Nah, that didn't interest Oberon so much. He'd never met either of them, so he had very little to contribute. And it was kind of skeptical that no one could really answer him about why they needed to be saved. It seemed like no one knew and they were just doing it... because.

"Here's a question, no offense to those interested about cellphones..." Sessrumnir added, but since he didn't have a cell phone, he hoped they would understand his lack of interest in them. "Why do they think we have a Moon Queen we're going to find and worship?" He would keep the question simple since... it didn't seem as though anyone wanted to answer it.

Did they not know? Or did they not want to share? "If the Negaverse has a Queen, and Ares is a Queen, and we have Princesses, does that mean there's a Queen out there and the Negaverse is right?"

Yeah, there was discussion about how the Earth was more powerful and would probably have been the ruling force, unless it was being controlled by the moon, but with no concrete answer, who knew. It was the only part he hated about being newish to this — not knowing the details.

"Do you know, Cora?" Since, again, the humans weren't responding. She at least seemed more excited to be there and help out, rather than preach about whatever else.

"Yeah..." Valhalla mumbled in vague response to Ganymede's concerns. He was still trying to process everything that had just happened. Well, he knew what had happened, but maybe he was a little sensitive to the more personal jabs. Not that anyone else knew Zirconia was right since no one really knew him that well... but still...

He spared a look down at Ganymede, forcing a small smile, not wanting to worry him more. "Sorry... I'm fine..." he mumbled again, glancing around to where they were standing and took a few steps back to where they had been at the start of the evening... alone at the edge of the room, not bothering anyone and not trying to get anyone else's attention. He reached out for Ganymede's hand to pull him with him, not wanting to participate for a while after that.

He could listen just fine, but after all that, he was find staying out of the discussion. Er, not that he was trying to prevent Ganymede from doing anything! He wasn't that controlling.

As for Zirconia... he hoped he'd be able to get to talk to Zia soon...

"I think we could do that!!!" an excited yell escaped from Cora before she even realized. "Oh my, was I too loud?" she then asked apologically from Polaris, after realizing where she was. If she had accidentally hurted her hearing.... well, it would be embarrasing.

"Anyway, I could start working on it. The technology interests me," the feline added, a hint of proudness in her voice. "By the way, is there any other questions or wishes of what we mauvians could do?" she asked from the audience.
PostPosted: Fri Jul 20, 2012 9:24 am

"That is... a little bit of a hard question to answer." Polaris stated, before pausing for a moment, seemingly trying to gather together the best way to explain it.

"There definately was a Moon queen in the past and Moon princesses as well. They helped to keep our galaxy peaceful for a long time. I'm not entirely certain on the details.. so I won't say these are facts. But I believe at some point there was some sort of love affair that linked the Moon and Earth together?" She was trying to pull memories from long ago.. from stories told to her by.. shifting images on a wall. It was hardly easy to remember them completely. And even harder to preach them as pure truth and fact.

"There is also a young moon Princess that has come to us.. from the future. Which.. would make it seem as if there is one present now.. or will be one awakened?" Her eyes lifted for a moment in an attempt to find Chibimoon before returning to Sessrumnir when she couldn't find her.

"At certain times in the past we've heard the voice or seen like.. projected images of the Moon Queen. She's given us bits of information and.. I know at least me personally sparks of hope."

"But where she actually is right now. If she actually exsists right now... I don't know that anyone knows the answer to that."

((Sorry for the double post - apparently having to refresh lost half my post? ))

Glancing down to the chibi senshi that she'd seen earlier, she offered an amused nod. "I'm certainly not computer or technologically adept myself, but that seems like something someone should be able to work on."

There was a pause in the tomboy's step as Irene prodded a bit more as to the reasoning for meeting up with Kailash. "...he's kinda new to all this... stuff..." she rolled her hand about loosely to gesture to everything surrounding them at that moment. "And he's not th'sorta guy who is gonna get outta his lil' corner and try t'meet others... I've known him fer a while, and social butterfly he ain't..."

Sheldon's idea of a fun time was staying locked up in his apartment avoiding people and playing video games.

"It's not so much important fer ya t'meet him... as it is fer him t'meet other people... ya know?"

The blonde couldn't help but notice as one of the guardians made a huge fuss and raged out of the building. She did manage to catch a quick glimpse at the purple crescent moon upon her forehead before she exited. "...hey... *********... ain't that one'a yer friends? Zirconia or what-was-it?"

********* had managed to listen as best as she could, and it was true enough she recognized the voice of the rampaging guardian as Zirconia. "Yes, that would be her..."

For a moment Iris' mouth stretched out wide in a flat line like she was imitating a frog.

********* also did not have anything to say. She couldn't really justify the outburst, nor should she have to based off of her friend on the other side of the room.

And so enters the awkward silence in the still relatively noisy room.

Maybe it was the tension in the air that had made Ganymede's little dance so hilarious, but Tsui was able to slam both hands over her mouth to stop her laughter from erupting like a volcano. No, no, she didn't want people to think she was taking a bad situation lightly, though in all honesty, hadn't she already proven that? She cared little for what others thought of her; the fact that they thought of her at all was enough to let her know that she had at least made some kind of impact by being here, which made all the in-fighting, temper tantrums and emotional outbursts worth sitting through.

Finally, she was able to cool her laughter, just in time to sit back and take in Polaris' speech. Yes, at least they were getting SOME kind of progress done, and while she didn't like being told to wait, Tsui wasn't going to push the envelope with this one. Polaris had a point; they needed to wait. Tsui would just have to learn the virtue of patience... something that was hard for her, admittedly.

She listened to Cora's spiel and couldn't hold down her animal-loving tendencies- even after seeing Zirconia blow up, she thought that ALL of the Mauvians were adorable and it took much restraint to stop herself from grabbing every one she saw and giving them a big hug. She had to remember, these guys were sentient, and likely able to snap verbally at her. They deserved respect. So she would continue to 'aw' them from afar.

When the floor was opened to questions, Tsui had sat back and listened to all of the questions, the one that caught her interest the most was the one regarding the Moon Queen. Benitoite's story played over in her ears, and once Polaris had stopped talking, Tsui asked, "So there's no real proof behind the Negaverse's claim that she was using her daughter's marriage with the Earth Prince to gain control over Earth? How is it that we're getting two completely different versions of the story? Didn't anyone think to write this down, you know, in case it caused conflict in the future?"

She didn't even want to think about a Princess from the future. Time travel now? Yes, Tsui had little tolerance for such a thing. Not because she didn't think it possible, but it always caused such a headache when thinking of the paradoxes it'll cause.

There was a giant elephant in the room after Zirconia's blow up and.... Gany's weird.... whatever. Niflhel sighed so much drama, it's like they could just make a freaking soap opera out of this whole thing. Throw in some love triangles and a few random tragic murders or jerry springer 'I'm your brother's mother's cousin twice removed but I'm also your father' moments and there'd be one hell of a show here. Niflhel wouldn't be surprised if they got the best soap opera ratings ever either.

Soon though the topic shifted and Niflhel stood there listening, "Perhaps.... it's just that we haven't unlocked those secrets yet." He was thinking about knights and the parallels and everything, "I think... in the grand scheme of things.... when we need that information the most. It will come to us. It seems, everything here is on a as needed bases...."

He looked towards Polaris for a moment before continuing his train of thought, "After all the knights showed up years after this war began. I wouldn't be surprised if, there is a greater thing controlling the time line.... puppeting what we need to know.... they'll find a way to place it in our grasp when we need it the most."

Ganymede was settling down quickly. One second he was more than happy to tell people how wrong he thought they were or to make plans to follow through with some of the ideas that had been tossed around before (or sing an obnoxious song to any other departing figures that may pass through the doors), and the very next he could really care less about what anyone had to say on the matter, whether they agreed with anything he’d been saying before or not. He ignored Polaris’s renewed bid for some sort of verbal authority over the crowd of Senshi, Knights, and cats; he ignored the cat and her excited offer to help the lost and confused and the ones seeking answers; and he ignored the people around him, the speculation and the questions and the annoyance that he felt deep down when those questions weren’t given concrete answers. (It would come to them when they needed it? They needed it now, not later as some afterthought by whatever cosmic ******** up had decided to throw them all into a war without the necessary information to stop it.)

He didn’t care about a Moon Queen, or her daughter, or a Princess from the future—who could go right back to the future as far as he was concerned; what business did she have here?—or whatever dumb star-crossed love affair had existed in a time and a place so far before the present.

But he did care about Valhalla, much more than he cared about anyone else in the room—though Oberon came in a very close second by virtue of his place in Ganymede’s civilian life, along with his Senshi and Knight friends, few as they may be in proportion to the amount of Senshi and Knights that existed—and so when Valhalla withdrew to the wall at the edge of the room and tugged on his hand, Ganymede followed him without any hint of an argument as everything else temporarily lessened in importance and melted into the background.

“You can leave if you want,” he offered, squeezing Valhalla’s hand and returning the other one to the bare skin at the squire’s elbow, rubbing his thumb along the crook of it.

He didn’t want to leave. He was much too stubborn and had too much pride in himself to lessen himself to copying the overly dramatic exits that had been occurring over the course of the evening, but he couldn’t blame Val if he wanted to get out of there. All Val did was try to help and protect the people he cared about, and instead of respect for his generally peaceful demeanor he got dirty looks and a verbal dressing down by someone he clearly depended on.

Ganymede knew some of it (the dirty looks that didn't come in the form of cat-woman glares, at least) was probably his fault for drawing attention to them, that no matter what state their relationship was in Valhalla would likely always be linked with him in the eyes of some of their company, and he felt guilty for it—and angry at people for looking to Val as if he bore any blame when Ganymede would much rather answer for his own behavior.

“I’ll stay,” he said, “and fill you in if you miss anything. I have to make sure Oberon gets home safe once this is over, but… that was a really shitty thing for her to do, Val. I don’t understand why you bother with people like that. If she’s going to purposefully try to make you feel like s**t then she’s not worth the effort you put into trying to calm her down and keep her around. You deserve a lot better than that.”

Her measured tone had him grinning. "Don't think too much about it." He said mildly, looking away. He wasn't blind to his surroundings though, noting the furtive message passed onto Chronos. Several of her guards left with her, but they left Flora behind. For information? Were there other zodiacs left as well? It was a smart move to distribute people across several areas. He wasn't too worried for Chrono's sake. She had a great deal of senshi already on her side accompanying her. After all, that was the task entrusted to the court.

There were a great deal of fights and discontentment brooding within the crowd. A few cat fights, a few outbursts.. "Foolish children." He murmured. Zephyr wouldn't deny a person their right to an opinion or their thoughts. But for them to fight publicly -- well, it didn't help their morale or cause any. Although that princess, Polaris, was it? She seemed to be doing remarkably well, considering everything. But no doubt, the information that they had shared was worth the ordeal. About the cats, the negaverse, the dark moon court, the cats, and countless of other topics. For a senshi like Zephyr who remained outside of the main stream, there were little more valuable than information.

Chibimoon had been outside with Juno and Seal when the words 'Moon Queen' had touched her ears from inside the meeting. The word 'Dark' had not proceeded it but the word 'worship' was clearly in there, a misconception that the pink senshi was willing to do anything she could do discourage. Mostly because a lot of people had started to assume that she was going to become said Moon Queen because she was of the direct lineage, a misconception that had dire implications for Chibimoon when she could not live up to them. It was one thing to gain a rank and surprise everyone with it, it was another for them to assume that you would attain a certain rank only for you to fail time and again to obtain it.

Moving back into the room as Princess Polaris spoke the teen raised her voice so that everyone could hear her if they chose. "The Moon Queen is my grandmother, the Moon Princess is my mother, and the Prince of the Earth is my father." Technically. Technically the King and Queen of Crystal Tokyo were her parents and this encompassed an aegis slightly more complicated than the Earth and the Moon kingdoms independently. Her grandparents were Ikuko and Kenji Tsukino, but that did not invalidate that she carried the blood of the Silver Millennium in her veins and that could be traced all the way back to Queen Serenity.

Semantics, all of it.

"I can tell the story if people want to hear but we do not worship Queen Serenity! She was the queen of the Silver Millennium and a very strong queen, but there are many, many more stars that did not know her. She is very wise, you should give her respect and politeness, but you do not have to worship." That very word and all of its implications seemed to offend Chibimoon an incredible amount. Worship! Like a goddess?! What a ridiculous idea!

Looking self-conscious now, for this was something very hard for her to speak of or admit, Chibimoon linked her fingers together and couldn't quite meet the eyes of anyone in the room. "My mother called me Princess Small Lady Serenity Usagi but it is just a name. I do not have power like Polaris or Castor. I don't know why, I don't know if I ever will, but I am still the Moon and I take that very serious." In fact she took nothing more seriously! It was the only thing that tied her still to the time and place in which she was born, the duty she was born to fulfill.

Nothing could matter more.

Pasiphae was just glad to see the room returning to some form of order, and she found herself greatly calmed listening to the new information from those around them. She had almost fainted to see Ganymede's song and dance, but as it too had passed, she did not want to bring it up again. She longed to comfort both Valhalla and Zirconia as well after seeing the two split apart... but that would have to wait. Until she built up more nerve. Until... she had earned the right to their respective friendships again. For now, she would have to do her best to hide her frayed nerves and her own heavy heart at the parts of the meeting that still weighed heavily on her in the back of her mind. As she settled in to listen to Cora, she wasn't sure if Polaris could see her grateful smile when she flashed it towards her, but it was there all the same. She knew it had to be hard, to keep things on track, and she was overwhelmed by Aurora's ability to do so as much as she had been.

She waited to hear the answers to everyone else's questions, but Chibimoon's words immediately drew her attention towards the pink-haired Senshi. She could feel her heart racing again. They did have a queen. Or rather, they had. Or would have. Time travel, while she was willing to accept it after all the things she had seen and experienced, was certainly not her forte. It was enough for her to know that there was some truth in what she had always heard, but that the majority of what beings like Carnelian told her was a lie. She had never worshiped a queen. She had never been expected to worship her. She would never be expected to worship her. Europa had told her some of this information in the past, but to hear it all sort of.. neatly packaged was still a relief to her.

"Thank you, Princess Small... Serenity... I'm, I'm terribly sorry, I didn't catch your full name," she babbled, wanting to make sure that what she said did not come off as disrespectful as she gave a small, respectful nod towards the other Senshi. "Thank you for sharing that information with us. I know... I've been confused for so long on that issue." Then she added, more shyly, "And... um... thank you for coming back." Coming back from the future? Coming back to the meeting? Pasiphae left it purposefully ambigious, but her gratitude was sincere.

Too embarassed to wait for a possible response, the blushing Senshi raised her hand, trying to attract Cora or another Mauvian's attention as she asked, "Thank you too, Cora, for telling us about the Mauvians, but I was wondering... um, can we contact you through our phones like Senshi? Or... is there some other way we need to reach you?"

So she was the Chibimoon Kallichore had heard so much about. The eternal had first heard the story from Juno, who was here in the room somewhere. The gray haired senshi recognized that bizarre hairstyle anywhere. Kallichore listened intensely to Chibimoon's explanation - who she was, where and when she was from, what powers she may or may not possess. The madness senshi firmly believed in the power of the self and self-reliance, but wasn't sure what to make of royalty. She'd known Polaris went royal for a while now, but still wasn't sure what all that entailed. If they could not purify by force, what was the point of becoming royal in the first place?

Regardless, if they werent' Ares, Kallichore gave them respect just as she did anyone else.

"I'd like to hear the story if it's not too much trouble, Chibimoon." came an even request from the senshi in crimson. No doubt Pasiphae and the others would want to hear the story too, if not for information's sake. Giving Chibimoon a curt nod, Kallichore turned to the one princess she'd met before,Polaris, and ducked close to her to ask a few questions that had been bothering her for quite some time.

The eternal's voice was hushed and not at all rude, but serious. "Polaris, perhaps you can answer this for me. If we can't purify by force and take back the Negaverse like they have taken so many of us, what is the point of royalty? I don't mean any disrespect but I've been curious. Did you have any sort of revelations when you ascended? Is there any information you can give to us about this?" She hoped Polaris wouldn't take her questioning as interrogation but Kallichore was nothing if not serious 99% of the time. She thought of royals as mythical beings aside from the monster that Ares had become.

The orange clad senshi wasn't fond of Zirconia's retreat. It was loud, angry and filled with such heated words that her smile faded as she watched the two lilac haired cousins leave. How these other senshi had treated the guardian cat was appalling, none of them should have said such words to her. Though they couldn't really owe so much to Zirconia per say, given she was from somewhere else to her understanding - she didn't totally get it - but in general these cats were important and the fact they could dismiss her... well. And the way the senshi with the frilly black shorts sang ... Hygiea wasn't sure she liked these people after all. At least her team knew better...

And with Zirconia leaving, it meant Hug-Bell was gone as well, she'd have to send a text to Istas later to make sure everything was alright. The little girl gave a feeble wave to them with a small sigh, and lowered her hand into Pravoski's orange fur without thought, rubbing around his ears. "I don't know how well I could sneak you a cheeseburger," huh.. really? Cheeseburgers, like.. what the internet said? "I'm sure I can figure something out though," she smiled, her normal cheer slowly returning as she continued to pet the guardian cat.

Her attention turned when Polaris and Cora began to speak again, trying to steer the discussion to important things it seemed. Something about phones and princesses - well, she knew of one already ... or wait, two more... and a prince... and now another with the pink haired girl who didn't look terribly too much older than she was. And from the future it seemed, she even had a fancy name. Huh. Hygiea watched in silence as conversation sparked up around her once again, unsure if throwing herself into all these conversations was a good thing.

She liked talking, but well... probably not about all this boring stuff. - oh wait, a story?

- -

Yes, Iris was indeed making her way over and from the looks of it she wasn't alone. Traveling with her seemed to be a very purple themed girl holding in her arms a rather familiar looking feline. "She's very good at doing that..." he sighed, still not even making an effort to stand up as the trio made their way closer.

Turning yellow eyes on Nysa, he gave him a quick study. His uniform was rather fancy compared to his own, well kept and maintained like it was well taken care of and tailored. His hair was prim and proper, which kind of went with the slight accent he could pick up. Very English Gentleman. How stark on contrast he was.

He took another look over, finding it hard to locate some sort of symbol on his person - something Kailash guessed they all had given how many he had on himself - and found himself stumped in finding anything. It probably didn't help the page of Uranus was sitting down. "So... I'm guessing you're a Page.. which planet are you from?" The shells probably were a clue but he wouldn't have guessed his own garb would have been something from Uranus.

Nysa kept a well maintained smile upon his lip. He briefly allow a gentle, almost overly polite laugh escape his lips. "As charming as the male senshi uniforms are, I think I do rather prefer the clothing of a Page." With one single motion, he lifted up his hand and turned it so that a small section of golden embroidery in the shape of a trident could be seen.

"I represent Neptune. I am the Page, Nysa. It is a pleasure to meet you, Kailash."

At this point he decided to take another look towards the blonde, and this time noticed the purple suited girl and what she was carrying along with her.

"...goodness... is that a cat she is bringing over here?" He could already feel his nose tickling slightly at the threat of the cat hair that would inevitably set off his allergies.
