Xiao trotted over to Leanna. "Miss Leanna... did'ju hurt yourself?" She asked peering thoughtfully at the gash on her haunches.

"i'm ok..just a bit surprised" akira said getting up and shaking off "food!" he said looking at the buffalo and walking over, but before he took a bite he smelt another blood, not the food but a lion. he looked over to leanna "did you hurt yourself?are you ok?" he asked suddenly

She nodded and raised her head. Looking over at the children, she gave a small chuff. "Now now..do not worry yourselves over me. You two get food." Without another word, she limped/walked off toward the lake. Lowering her muzzle to the liquid, she took a few sips. Once her thirst was quenched, she sighed. Walking into the shallows, she splashed her wound with the clear water wincing every now and then. Once cleaned, she licked it dry with her tongue. Leanna then walked around until her gait was normal and just stiff. She wondered if she should go back. Akira and Xiao seemed to worry about her, but the others just worried aobut food. Then again, that was the way of life. Eat or be eaten; kill or be killed; be predator or be prey, it was the same over and over. Stifling a sigh, she settled near to the lake on her good side. Her eyes scanned the water as she rested. What shall she do?

Xiao watched after her but took her advice and got some of the food that she had once again provided for them. In between mouthfuls, Xiao blinked at Akira. "I think she's pretending to be alright..." She commented, genuinely concerned.

Akira followed Xiao getting some food then sitting down next to her "yes i agree" he said taking a mouthfull then licking his muzzle "we should go check on her after we eat" he suggested "i wonder were she got that cut" he thought before taking another bite

The off green kitten had taken note of the hurt huntress and seeing as she never ate before most of the others anyways, she trailed Leanna to the water front. When the lioness got out of the water and lay resting on the banks Nola crept out of the tall grass and sat down near her. "They will be worried."

"Nola?!" Leanna looked over at the little cub and sighed. "Oh, you gave me such a scare! You shouldn't be out here by yourself, hun." Leanna sat up and turned toward the green kit. "And I doubt they will be worried about me. I just watch over the young'ns and provide the food." She gave a gentle smile lowering her head toward Nola. "Nothing will happen to me, I promise." Leanna licked the kit's cheek softly and nuzzed her head with her nose. She then sighed looking back into the water. Absently, Leanna laid back down giving a quite sad look.

Xiao finished her fill and purred with delight. "I want to find Leanna now..." She said nonchalantly. "Shall we?"

Akira looked at the other cub "alright" he said licking the last traces of food from his muzzle and standing up beside Xiao. "ready when you are" he smiled
(xiao is so pretty! ^_^)

"We care what happens to everyone in the pride." Nola said very seriously before looking into Leanna's face. "Why are you so sad?"

Shaking dust from his stomach and stretching, Shaitani rose from the shadows of the cave, apparently last to awaken. He saw the majority of the pack hunched over a buffalo carcass, save for the magenta lioness and Nola. Slightly curious, he stalked past the food, his stomach giving a slightly hungry twist as he passed. Ignoring it, he continued to follow Nola's scent to the lake where he spied her and the lioness chatting. He sat in the grass a ways behind them, not wanting to interrupt what looked like a serious conversation.
Shaitani did not, however, miss the faint scent of passing blood in the water. As he caught this scent he also noticed the gash on Leanna's thigh. Frowning, he wodered if it was serious.

Xiao rose and followed Leanna's scent, which wasn't all that hard because she ended up trailing not too far behind a black cub whom she hadn't met yet. Xiao trotted up beside him, a soft smile on her face. "Akira 'n I are gonna go see if she's alright.... wanna come too?" She asked, sensing his worry.

 The teenaged Xia sat next to Ling and had a pretty smile on her face as she waited for the boys to get done eating first. While the lioness was waiting for him to finish she batted at his ear, the hot sunlight finding them through the leaves in the trees of the oasis. heart
