Mitsu had totally been present the whole time just...not always soaking in what was happening. Before she knew what had happened she was followed the group toward the refreshment table. She supposed that made since, Amphi had invited them over. Smiling, Mitsu stayed politely quiet for the time being soaking in who was here trying to brave up to speak to new people. Prom was as good a time as any to mingle right? It was a chance to meet and chat with new people without fear. It was just a matter...of moving forward.

At least Alexander somewhat sounded like he knew it was a horrible thing to just run about in public making such bold statements. Yin gave a quick nod at the apology, really just ready to move on. Alexander was attempting to explain, but it was a complete relief when he suggested just going into the dance. Yin could work with that. Running away from something? Yin was king. "Yes, I think that would be for the best."It was really impossible for him to tell just how much his own clothing was the culprit here, and if he had just not tried so much with his apparel this all would have been easy to avoid. Alexander seemed to want to move on now, changing the subject to something that was a somewhat common topic for him: why he was late. "A job?" Yin questioned with obvious surprise. The zomboil was certainly in high spirits about it as he showed off that for once he was wearing footwear. "They are nice, but what job requires shoes? What will you be doing?"But Alexander was back to using his full name, which made him smile, and helped push back the earlier embarrassment. "Thank you for the invitation Alexander."

That meek posture, the soft tone of her voice, even the outfit screamed vulnerable. This was perfect. All Titus had to do was choke back the urge to crush her like an insect. At that thought he looked around to make sure Cricket wasn't nearby. Not that she could mind read....he hoped but one could never be too careful with the creepy school nurse. " Yeah really," Titus chuckled lightly as if finding amusement in her surprise. " Why not join me for a while?" When he removed his hand from her shoulder he held it out to her politely palm up giving a light bow as he did so. Jack this was such a sickening display but Titus pulled it off like a pro. He would be best to look into acting. It was his calling. " I promise you'll enjoy yourself."

The song that had been playing slowly faded into silence. Herryk's commanding tone rang out once more, the draugr's impressive bling glimmering in the low lights of the room. "Uh. So, Herryk apologizes for this next one."

Letting out a breath as Thanatos helped out, Shun shook his head to himself and continued on to the refreshment table. He had let go of Xiu's hand somewhere along the way. "That was lovely," he said flatly before grabbing a couple cups of punch. He poured one out for Mitsu, himself, and Xiu... or whoever wanted that particular cup. Letting out a breath, he glanced back towards the bulk of the room, noticing a certain nightmare pestering some other girl now. Whatever. And then the song changed. "......"

Amphi bit her lip as Lou made a grab for Xiu, tugging her hand much like Shun did. She almost feared for her friend becoming a doll between the two boils...almost. Then Thana excuted a well placed cut beeline towards her that had her turning up a smile at him behind her mask.
Behind that same smile was a bright red flush at his question of a dance. "I would love to Thana." She practically beamed up at him. Offering Lou a goodbye wave, she added..."I hope you find an acceptable ghoul Lou" and then linked her hand into the moriae reapers arm, leaning into it.
"Ah perhaps there will be a flirty girl for him?" Amphi briefly wondered, a little worried that perhaps she might've been a little to judging of the vampire. It was his first day....or maybe she too, like Xiu fell for the innocent kicked puppy act.
"Ah this is such...interesting landwalker music...." She commented following behind the group headed to the refreshment table. "Oh I wonder if there will games to win the plush animal again...like scarentines!!!"
They had won all the plush. All of them.

"That it was." he smiled fondly at the memory. "Famine experiments are always a treat." he winked. "Oh?? I have not heard of these pho-nehs myself. What are they?? ..."
He smiled and laughed at Heidla's remark. "This place is strange for us too. Imagine spending your entire life on a dry, barren desert, to find Amityville full of forests and rivers. Not to mention the odd customs and baubles here."
Kiwi was glad Fai had shown up when he did. The moment he appeared the atmosphere seemed to ease and lighten up. It felt wonderful to be back in good company. He smiled softly at Willow's eagerness. "Would you like to dance?? ... I think I'd be willing to teach you some Famine moves ... if Fai doesn't mind." He inclined his fellow clansman with a nod and quaint smile.

The music really was distracting. It combined with..feelings..and Yin looking all incredible in a freaking suit and tie was just not ideal for idle chat. But jack damnit, he was not going to make a fool out of himself twice! So he just focused on the normal conversation he was trying to have, blocking out the noise of the other students, the horsemen, and the terrible song choice that was blaring out of the speakers right now. "They're not nice, they're awful." He admitted with a shrug. "I mean, I guess they look nice, but I can barely walk in them. This is the first time I've ever worn shoes, but I thought tonight would be a good time to at least try and break them in." And now to tell Yin where he would be working. It wasn't exactly his dream job. In fact, he had a suspicion he wasn't really going to like it very much at all. "Well it's...do you remember that restaurant we ate in, that first time I took you to the maul with me? Well, the hostess apparently still remembers me, though she's actually a waitress now. She was working when I took in my application, and I guess she...recommended me to the management or something." He grinned more, finding it all somewhat amusing considering he knew nothing about the type of work they expected of him. How that ghoul had gotten him hired he'd never know. "They said I can start out cleaning tables while they train me to be a waiter." Really, it wasn't a big deal, but he was told that he could make good money in tips if the customers liked him. Hopefully a lot of customers liked slow service! "Anyways, the shoes are apparently required because of some health and safety standard. And they had to be nice because they make the staff dress in fancy clothes and..well, you probably remember." Alex mostly just remembered eating their meal under a table, which had been interesting. "So, what do you want to do now that we're here?" He had a glance around, noting the tables filled with food and refreshments, as well as the other students they could be mingling with. He didn't even consider dancing, especially not to what was currently playing. Oh wait, the song was changing! ......................................... ........................... .............. Okay, well, he didn't think Yin even liked to dance, so that was probably out altogether anyways (thank jack).

It’s okay. Hel wanted to gag too…but the trolling. Think of the trolling. Hel bottled down the urge to scream fruit cake at this display. Hey wait. He was inviting her to hang out with him…that p***k was totally ditching Riyo! Hel knew it had been a bad idea for her to go with him! Oh…definitely going to troll him now. “I’m very flattered.” Not really. “But ah…a fine boil such as yourself…surely you have a date already…?” Thank goodness for this poker face mask. Hel was gagging under it again.

Taima found her path to the food table blocked as the tall man approached her, and she looked way up--and really, why did everyone here have to be so tall?--as he inquired about her status for the evening. "No, I'm flying solo tonight," she admitted easily, no shame at being on her own at an event that seemed geared towards couples. "I'm new here, so I don't know a whole lot of people yet. It sounded like fun, though, so I came anyway." She smiled up at the stranger. This would make one more person she did know, kind of! Only 9000 more to go. "How about you?"

The music stopped abruptly, Herryk glancing with narrowed eyes in the direction of the gnome that had squeaked out his request. Herryk hated gnomes. "Lets slow things down a little, yes?"

As she sipped the punch, Lark went back to watching the other students move around the room. The annoyingly heavy thumping of the bass paired with the rather... carnal nature of the song had her hesitant to get out on the dance floor - not that she was much of a dancer, anyway. When the next song played, Lark blinked a few times and sent a strange look in Kettil's direction. Thankfully it wasn't long before others started complaining - and Lark had to give props to Herryk - he handled it like a pro before swapping songs entirely. The next song that came on had Lark swaying in place, and it didn't take long for her to snatch up Kettil's hand so that she could drag him out to the dance floor. "C'mon, then. Y'gotta slow dance w'me." She sounded entirely too excited.

Herryk was starting to get worried. He wasn't sure that agreeing to be co-screejay had been the best decision, but he'd been so excited at the prospect of such a task. Why wasn't Freya here yet? Was she so upset with him that she didn't want to attend? Stepping out from behind the booth, Herryk pulled his eyePhone from his jacket pocket.

"Pho...bias, pho...sphorus, pho...tone....That's not it. I am not sure I know what are you talking about", Heidla was irritated to find out there's something she didn't know about while others knew. "What is it, exactly?" With two boils fighting over the attention of the other ghoul, she felt... well, she didn't feel anything. After all, they were all randomly thrown together. Besides, she didn't even know what dancing was - and was quite sure she was not that good at that dancing. After all, the priestesses were conservatives in their lifestyle. So she just smiled and listened to the music, that was beginning to slow down. That was nice.
