Nurse Mortem
The Demon Nurse Nurse Mortem smiled at Charlotte and noticed her pregnancy. "If you don't mind headmistress, I would like to check on your baby later?" she said hopefully, concerned with what effect Charlotte's stress may have on the baby. She looked over sharply as a red-headed girl burst into the room with a little girl in her arms who was badly injured. "Let me see!" she said quickly, coming over to the bed. She looked down at the little girl, noticing her arm was twisted at a bad angle. She took the little girl's arm. "This is going to hurt, but only for a moment," she said, then quickly took the girl's broken arm and twisted it, putting the bone back into place. She held it there and put her other hand over the fracture. A warm light came from her palm as she began healing the broken bone.

Nurse Mortem
The Demon Nurse Nurse Mortem kept her hands on the girl's arm for a few minutes before the bone healed back into place and the wound closed. She gently put the girl's arm down by her side and then placed her hands over the girl's broken ribs, refitting the bones into place as she began healing them. She looked back at the red-headed girl on the ground and gave her an encouraging smile. "Don't worry," she said. "I'll take good care of her. And don't blame yourself; there are a lot of strong enemies here today. A lot of strong students will be hurt. But I'll be here for them." She continued healing the girl's ribs until they were back in place and the wound was closed. She moved on to the girl's left side as she worked on the deep cut. "But that's what I'm here for."

The Demon Nurse "Well on her way," Nurse Mortem replied as she finished closing the deep wound on her left side and began to close the gash on her leg. "After this I'll heal her spine and she should be okay. How are you feeling?" She asked the girl, noticing she had changed and washed the blood off of her.

 Lin sighed and brushed the hair out of her cousin’s eyes. “I-I’m ok. Earlier, an old injury was acting up. Trampled by a bull a few years back. I took some elixir that healed any new damage and blocked the pain, but I know the injury is still there. It just never healed properly and I’ve tried everything. But don’t worry about it. I fight all the time without triggering the pain, so it is not necessary for you to tend to it. Besides, I have a bad feeling that by the end of this, you’ll need to have saved all the energy you can. I fear many more will need medical aid. And worse than I will.” She then sat down on the floor next to Ushi.

The Demon Nurse Nurse Mortem nodded. "I have the same bad feeling," she said as she finished healing the gash. Gently, she turned the girl over onto her back and placed her hands on her spine, healing the fractures and damage caused by the impact. After several minutes she was done. She let out a sigh of relief as the last fracture closed and healed. She looked down at Lin. "She should be okay now," she said, smiling. "The injuries are closed but I recommend she rest for a while. though if that's not an option right now I understand." She looked out the window at the fighting worriedly. "Are you sure you don't want me to take a look at your leg? I may be able to help," she asked Lin.

Lin shook her head. “Actually, it’s my side that was injured. But as long as I don’t try to move anything heavier than Ushi, I’ll be fine. And I don’t think that will be an issue. I don’t think we’ll be fighting anytime soon. I’ll be fine, I’ve even taken on a few third years on my own and won. Save your energy for those that need it. In the meantime, I don’t really have any experience with medicine or treating serious injuries, but if I can help in any way, let me know. Oh, but I will probably be the worst person to help with males. Because of personal issues that I don’t want to get into, I pretty much despise males. But if it’s necessary, I will try to leash that feeling. Anyway, just let me know if you need help.”

The Demon Nurse "Okay," replied Nurse Mortem, nodding to Lin. She put her hand on Lin's shoulder. "If you ever need to talk about it, I'll listen." She gave her a smile before looking over at the patients. "I have a couple of female patients in the corner there that need their bandages changed. Can you do that for me?" She asked, pointing towards them.

  Ushi's eyes started to open slightly as she let out a small groan of pain. "where am I?...." Ushi asked as she laid there, her eye s still pretty much closed. Ushi put her left hand against her side where she was cut open from the ghoul. "i need an ice pack..." The Demon Nurse "Hold still, don't try to get up," said Nurse Mortem calmly as she came back to Ushi. She brought an ice pack and placed it against her head. "You're in the nurse's office at the DWMA. I'm Nurse Mortem and Lin is right over there," she pointed at Lin as she gently pushed Ushi back down. "You were hurt very badly but you should be okay now."

Lin stood up and nodded as she walked over to the patients, speaking. “Oh, it’s not much of a story. My parents, well, the ones who conceived me, they are rich and too busy for a child. They left the hired help to look after me, only showing up when I embarrassed them in some way. That was often followed by a beating from my the one that fathered me. I suppose how I speak of them sounds odd, but I’ve never been shown affection or love by them, just annoyance and despise, so I don’t consider them my parents. They neglected me all the time, all for my father’s company. I was a mistake they said, a pestering annoyance. They did not even come to check on me once during the month or so I was in the hospital after the bull incident and did not have me on insurance, demanding I pay them back for my inconvenience. Finally, I managed to run away and made my way to my Uncle and Aunt’s place. They paid for our trip here after discovering the connection between Ushi and I and that Ushi could transform into an axe.” She finished changing the bandages and heard Ushi speak. “Ushi! Thank goodness you’re ok! I’m sorry I was not there.”

Ushi just nodded with a wave of her hand towards Lin as she sat up holding the ice pack to her hand with her other hand. "thanks but i'll be fine... I just have a really bad head ack.." Ushi said she as finally opened her eyes fully. "this isn't your fault Cus I was just careless..." Ushi said as she looked over at the nurse. "Sorry to trouble you miss..." Ushi said as she looked around. "I don't know if that protection spell around the school is getting weaker of has some kind of fault to it, but that woman... who was she.." The Demon Nurse Nurse Mortem listened to Lin's story in silence. "I understand," she said. "My family - my entire town - rejected me when they found out I was a demoness, even though I'd been living there my entire life. I tried to keep it hidden but eventually they found out..." She gave a sad smile and looked down at Ushi. "It's no trouble at all," she said. "This is what I'm here for after all." She looked Ushi over just to double check that she was healed. "Your injuries should be fine," she told her with a nod.
