Red crouched, still in her werewolf form. She kept her eyes trained on the reaper in front of them, saying nothing. Red was not as close to the missing students as others were; she felt it was not her place to ask. As it was she simply waited, tensed and coiled like a spring.

He would love to.
He would love to.
He would love to.
There was a stupid grin on her face as she came rushing back to the group. “You would love to? Really?” For one moment, Tarot didn’t care what was going on. She cupped Westhor’s face with her hands and brought him close to peck him on the lips. Floating hair be damned. “I’m glad.”
She laughed softly and nodded to both Akithor and Macthor. “I promise.”
Her smile was still there when she turned toward the reaper, except it began to gradually transform into a suspicious frown. Yield? That was it? No, that couldn’t be it. That was too easy, too quick. Tarot reached down to grab Westhor’s hand. “Something isn’t quite right.”

"...Hey guys. First thing we're gonna do when we get out of here is talk about mold prevention, alright?" Macthor had torn his gaze from the reaper long enough to see the little kiss betwen Tarot and Westhor. While half of him was happy for his bro, the other half was rather concerned. He trusted Tarot enough, but...just how much--or rather, how little--Sex Ed did Westhor know?
This would have to be amended ASAP.
Unfortunately, he wasn't sure if this was over quite yet. Though their opponent had dropped his weapon, he was still...well, here. Alive. If there was any chance of him getting back up and picking his weapon up again, Macthor wasn't going to let his guard down.
Leaning towards Akithor, he whispered, "So, what usually happens in the video games after the big bad lays down their weapon?"

Crossing his arms, Rengath looked at the reaper, still angry. The others were still missing. But if that had been their own choice... "Fine." He wanted to graduate and move on. This whole adventure was just turning into a mess. A very big one. "You're done, I'm done, we're all done. Head back to where ever you came from and leave us alone. Take your siren ghost ghoulfriend with you too." Snorting the demon looked over at Argyle again. "The jack you staring at?"

Selene felt Malcolm's hands on her, and she looked up at him for a second, before setting herself on her own weight again. She patted his hands, indicating to him that she was safe with a tiny smile, before the reaper's defeat had her full attention. Her eyes flittered from the reaper, to Vel, to Byrn, and then to the rest of the students. There was so much doubt in their eyes.. did no one see what she had seen? They won! They were safe.. free.. he was going to let them go! And they didn't have to kill him to do it! "Are.." The tiny choked sound came out, and she cleared her throat before trying again. "Are all of you blind..? He is giving up. We've.. we've won!" She struggled to get away from her friends and tumbled, nearly falling, as she tried to get closer to the reaper. "He's on his knees, and he won't hurt any of us anymore. We can talk to him! He will be.. our friend now.." Her eyes darted to Vanth. "Right..?" Then she turned, and held one hand out, very shyly, to the reaper. "We have bested you." She whispered with a tiny smile. "Will you now tell us where our friends are? ... Please?"

Moira hurriedly clambered to stand behind Selene, picking up Gordon and hefting him in what might be considered a vaguely threatening fashion. Or it might just seem like she was one-armed benching a headcrab. Whichever.
Either way, jerk better not be a jerk at her Leenie.

Arcana was right behind Selene and Moira as the snake ghoul went up to the reaper, though Arcana's position was to the side of/frontal blocking of his ghoulfriend.
Nope. just Nope. All of the Nope. His ghoulfriend would not get hurt while he was around. Nope.
And then he sent a glare over to Westhor.
"I...will...end...You." He mouthed to the Lightning elemental.

Did she just... K-k-k-kiss?!
For the first time in his life, Westhor probably resembled a Pikachu monster - complete with red cheeks, and sparks flying off said cheeks... And his body in general.
"HEEEEEEE, I'M GLAD TOO, TAROT SISTER," Too bad Westhor was too busy thinking of all the happy things, and verbally listing them out for him to notice Arcana's death glare, so happy that his voice was increasing in volume, especially when Tarot took his hand, "WE CAN HOLD HANDS, AND MAKE ALL THE LOVE DURING THE DATE, AND I WILL PROMISE NOT TO YELL SO LOUD IN THE CINEMA, OR THROW A CUP OF DR. DOOM ON THE FLOOR WHILE DEMANDING ANOTHER BECAUSE I LIKED IT. PROMISE. I WILL MAKE SURE YOU SMILE, SISTER."
He paused, beaming at the strange reaper, believing that he had really yielded to them, even if a few others did not believe him, "TO GIVE US THE OPPORTUNITY FOR THIS DATE, THANK YOU, BRO... BUT YES, CAN WE HAVE OUR FRIENDS BACK, PLEASE, LIKE SELENE SISTER SAID? SO WE CAN ALL LEAVE SCHOOL TO GO ON DATES, AND MAKE LOVE?"

Quin had looked away from Malcolm when she heard the clatter of the weapon hit the ground. Her brows furrowed but she seemed to be poised ready for something else to happen. It would very well be genuine defeat, the reaper was grossly outnumbered by students but that didn't mean there wasn't some trick. Her teacher's had taught her well enough to always suspect surprises, horrible ones when you least expect it. Looking between her friends Quin's eyes finally settled back on Malcolm. Was he truly believing this like Selene was? " Best ta not let yer guard down yet, Selene." The vampire called. She was edging a little too close but at least Moira was staying by her to watch her back.

"Seven it is," He nodded at Quin, "Are you're fine just the way you are?" It was more of a statement than a question, as he frowned at Selene; Jacking ghoul... She was making the same mistake as her boilfriend - getting too close to the enemy while he was playing the 'harmless' game. Thankfully, Moira and Arcana had her covered; he could only that two students were enough. At Pyre's outburst, he nodded in agreement, "It doesn't feel right."
Maybe they should throw a few more punches, just to be sure.
"Answer her," He gestured at Vel, his eyes focused on the stranger who had invaded their school, taken their friends, told them one lie after the other; it didn't surprise him that nobody would trust his words now, except for a few of the gullible ones - go figure that they were mostly from members of DETH.
"... Taru, take Bee and stay close," He muttered at the ghoul, eyeing her and her minipet. He might be at his limit now, but if they had to run... At least they would have each other's backs.

Selene gave Moira a relieved smile, though her stance was a little too aggressive for the moment. Still, she was there to support Selene, one way or another. As was Arcana.. right? Even Westthor was agreeing with her! But Quin's hesitation would surely be their downfall. Selene turned away, giving Quin her full attention, and shook her head anxiously. "No, can't you see? It's time to finally trust. We've done enough damage here.." Her lower lip jutted out, and she slumped slightly. It seemed she was in a minority opinion, and she was being so outspoken about it, finally. Perhaps this was a mistake. She should have stayed in the shadows where she belonged. "I'm sorry.."

Their date confirmed, Quin offered Malcolm one last smile before she turned to Selene and face faulted. Was this ghoul's naivety boundless? Most likely, she made it sound like she were trying to befriend a frightened foxfire pup and not a reaper who had threatened them and their school. " Are ye still in a trance because I'm not sure yer up ta speed, Selene." Quin tried to be gentle about it barely hearing the soft sorry. " If I've learned anything from our time 'ere at school its ta expect surprises....bad ones." Between classes, field trips, and Hellma there was always something trying to make you lower your guard before they struck like a snake. It also wasn't very favorable that some of the student body was missing as of current. That thought made chills run through her, muscles tightening and ready to spring. If this man wasn't going to answer no doubt they would have to beat the information from him.

A heavy sigh as they picked themselves out of the water, robe dripping slightly. "As I said, I am only a guardian, I am not here to destroy, simply help. Would you tear away those who are seeking another path, force them into lives they do not want to be in?"
Another slosh as they stepped, slow and deliberate step by step, towards the exit of the cave. "I have done my work here, the rest of the legacy is yours. As promised, I will leave."
And the Reaper would have left entirely, if it were not for the figures standing at the exit. No, it was not just one, but several hooded figures, dressed exactly like the Reaper, all wielding strange glowing weapons. They did not move even as the scythe-Reaper tried to push forwards.
"I'm sorry," One of them began, obscured face looking directly at the students, "But our work here is unfinished."
The defeated Reaper, who had promised them his defeat, simply waved a hand dismissively. "It's fine, they earned their right. Just let them pass."
"I am afraid it is already out of your jurisdiction, Liam."
A moment of tension, and then everything else happened in a flash. The scythe-Reaper pushed forward, was promptly shoved back forcefully onto the ground as several others broke formation, surrounding the students. The air hissed, and then there were nets, glowing, crackling with a strange sort of electricity that paralyzed on contact. Everything was chaos again, hooded figures with odd weapons, trapping nets moved almost too fast to react to, the cave itself roaring and shaking with the chaos-
- In the end that scythe-wielding Reaper was not by far, the worst they could have encountered. Those in nets did not even have the time to fight back, barely to shout out as they were pulled backwards, disappearing, snatched away in a second. More followed, almost all.
It would be over soon, for all of them - this was the way it would end though, even after such a hard-fought victory.
Several hooded figures, in the process of trapping several students together, were suddenly pushed back by a shockwave of white-blue light. The hooded Reaper, Liam stood up, moving to defend the students, weapon slightly raised. "Run." It was a half-whisper. "Move. Now. I keep my promise."
The promise, but at what price? Even as they ran, the few students that were still free, there were so few of them now, the hooded figures easily took everything and everyone else. There was no time to pause, to mourn or hesitate, even trying to stop them would result in the same fate. The hissing and yelling, the sound of electric nets and screaming was fainter now, the further up the tunnel they ran.
However, the cries of those captured never faded. OOC: CAPTURED - At this point EVERYONE IS CAPTURED (unless of course NPC). Only a motley group make it out of the cave. Feel free as an NPC and as a character being captured to RP out those last moments, the parting moments before they disappear forever. - All DISPOSABLES: this is the END of your story. Your student wakes up. You carry with your student memories that you cannot forget, memories that show you everything that happened. For some, the story is different, and for the ones in the cave, perhaps they saw a deeper truth still. - DISPOSABLES: death solo goes here!

A nod of understanding to Malcolm, a few careful steps in his direction, a motion to scoop up her pet...only to be interrupted by the arrival of more strangers, none of which seemed to have their best interest in mind. Taru's fur bristled and she froze, cautious. "Everyone needs to ********' run right now," she warned, swallowing the bile and worry that rose in her throat. The stupid reaper had tried, she guessed. Just doing his job, whatever that job might be. It was a little hard to fathom how someone could turn on their own in such a terrible way; not that she'd have any time to think about it. Not with the buzz of electricity consuming her, the steady hum that enveloped her body. Whimpering frantically, Bee walked in uneasy circles outside the net, pawing miserably at the electrified strands. The shock sent the cerbpuppy reeling backward time after time, but he couldn't stop - she was in there. He poked and barked and snapped and cried until he couldn't move anymore, panting as he shakily drooped to lie down by her side. With all physical resources expended, one of his heads tilted back to release a pleading howl. "Malcolm," Taru finally choked out, through the agony of the nets and the tears brimming in her eyes. She chewed her lip and looked from the puppy to her friend and back again. She couldn't say it. She couldn't acknowledge, right here in front of her very favorite fluffy companion, that she didn't think she'd be leaving the cave. And how could she keep her promise that she'd take care of Bee if she was gone? She hoped that he would understand what he needed to do.

"OI, TARU, YOU-" He wanted to call her an idiot for making it sound like they weren't going to get out together, that he was going to be robbed of the chance to ask if she would like to go walk their minipets together... However, he had been caught in one of those nets before - he knew how much it hurt, how much struggling was useless.
He said nothing, just rushing forward to grab the minipet laying by his owner; next to the minipet, there was a star pin... Something he recognized as Tanu's, a pin she had always worn in her hair. Gritting his teeth as the net with the kitsune in it was hauled away, he snatched up the accessory, stuffing it into his pocket.
The water in his eyes was just water from the cave, that's all.
"QUIN, VEL!" One of them owed him a date, the other owed him a spar, "EVERYONE, WE NEED TO GO." But it was too late, wasn't it? It was too Jacking late. Some of them... There were already gone.
