 Eric opened up the menu, scanning it for anything good. He watched as Dara ordered a greasy plate of fries. "Nice," he said. "I'll have a chocolate shake too please." He said. He turned to Dara. "Have you ever heard of a witch acting the way Charlotte did?" He asked. "You know, friendly almost?"

We didn't have to fight. She's pretty kind." The waitress came out with their food and she instantly started chowing down.  Blaze the Phoenix Wizard
The Refreshing Flame

Blaze walked in and took a seat, placing his order and sighing. After having traveled around he had made his way back to Death City once more. He started to wonder if he should reveal himself, hating that he had to keep running around. He hadn't even found sanctuary at the Time Zone with the Time Trio. He sighed heavily as the waitress brought him a glass of water.

Eric was about to answer when he noticed a strange man come into the bar and sit down. The man suddenly sighed as the waitress attended him. "Hey Dara, you recognize that guy at all?" He asked, nodding towards the stranger. "I'm getting a weird vibe from him."

Blaze noticed the two people staring at him and tried to act normal by looking behind him as if trying to see if someone was behind him that they were looking at. When he didn't see anyone he turned back around and looked back at them, waving slightly as if embarrassed or unsure as to why he was even bothering to wave.

The guy seemed off. Like he didn't feel comfortable where he was. Eric waved back slightly. He turned back to Dara. "Hey, I hope you don't mind but I think we should check this guy out. It just doesn't seem right." He stood up, leaving his milkshake behind and walked over to the man. "Hey, my name's Eric," he said introducing himself. "And this is Dara. Mind if we sit down?"

Blaze looked at the two and smiled softly. "Not at all, so long as you don't mind dining with someone like me." He still smiled as he dropped the hint that he was someone who wasn't who they appeared. He didn't mean anyone any harm, so they he knew they had no reason to attack him. He was just trying to escape from his own life and ended up where ever his feet took him.

Eric could tell that Dara was uncomfortable with the situation by her fidgeting and silence. Sorry Dara, he thought But I might need you to have my back in this Eric listened to the man accept his request, but the last words hit him. Someone like me... Eric was instantly on his guard. He activated his mental resistance, an ability that allowed him to resist mind-control, hallucinations and other mind-altering powers. Although outwardly there was no indication he had done anything, inwardly he had put a wall around his mind. Why would he say something like that? Eric wondered. "So," he asked the man casually, "What's your name?" He reached one empty hand in his pocket, a second later he took it out. His hand was still empty.

Blaze looked as the lady came back, ignoring the two newcomers as he placed his order. Once she had left he looked back at the two of them with the same warm smile and leaned forward only to whisper. "Don't cause a scene now my friendly meister and weapon, but my name is Blaze the Phoenix Wizard." He stated plainly and didn't even look worried. He sipped his water, though each time he touched the glass it started to bubble lightly from the heat his hand was generating to warm his water up.

Eric was caught completely off-guard by Blaze's confession. He sat still, blinking a few times in surprise. He quickly regained his composure. Normally he would have thought the man was playing a trick, but he noticed how the man's water bubbled every time he touched it. He definitely had power and he was definitely no meister or weapon. He couldn't be a witch. That left wizard or demon that Eric knew of. He decided to take the man at his word. "Then you have soul protect on?" Eric asked him. "And you asked us not to cause a scene, meaning you'd get in trouble if people found out you were here. Which means you can't be here under Death's protection. If that's true, then what are you doing here?"

Blaze watched as the person walked over with his food, smiling as he eyed it hungrily. He took a bite and looked like he had just gone to heaven. After he finished chewing and swallowing, he dabbed at his mouth with a napkin and looked back at them. "I do have soul protect on, I don't want you to make a scene because I really enjoy this place and I wouldn't want to cause a commotion that would make it so that I can't come back here anymore, no I am not under your Lord Death's protection, and the reason I am here is cause I'm on the run. Do you remember some 30 years ago the pact between the Witch Society and the DWMA during the battle on the moon against the Kishin Asura? Well most witches lately have forgotten or don't even know about it. I follow the agreement reached on that day, but at the same time I am banished from my own peoples world simply because of it." He paused to take another bite, his eyes looking like they were watering with tears of joy. "Even though most witches and wizards today don't agree with my ideals, there are some who stick to these guidelines. You do know about the ascension of power that all magical folks go through when their magical powers reach their peak right? Well it's never the same for each witch or wizard, some of us succumb to it and lose ourselves in it's power, others learn to harness it and use it as they would like. Why thirty years ago your DWMA even had a witch as a student, who now is pretty high up as one of the only DWA members. That's Death Witch Alliance if you didn't know, to which I am a member." He pulled out a small card which stated his name and his position in the DWA, which was high up there. "I mean no harm to anyone here, I simply wish to enjoy my meal as I do everyday around this time, and make sure that she doesn't find me." He paused slightly before looking around. "By she I mean Sapphire the Phoenix, who seems obsessed with me simply because I am a Phoenix wizard." He explained all this as he continued to eat, speaking only after he finished chewing and swallowing his next mouthful of food.

Eric listened to Blaze with a blank expression on his face. He didn't know anything about Azura or the moon or a pact or DWA. He hadn't even known that the DWMA existed until less than a year ago. He figured Blaze was telling the truth. If he had told a blatant lie Dara would have known and said something, but she continued to remain quiet. He watched Blaze eat as if he were in heaven. "So basically," said Eric. "You're on no one's side and you come here to get a bite to eat and hide from uhh...whats-her-face and just leave? Just like that?" Eric found the last part hard to believe. But if he had been coming here for so long already and hadn't caused any trouble....Eric wasn't sure what to do. "What does Sapphire want from you?" He asked.

Blaze looked at the person for a few moments before sighing. "Simply put, she wants me. She is fixated on me through our connection with the phoenix. She is an actual Phoenix, but she has such a high level of magical power that she takes on a human form. We happened to meet and ever since then she has chased me down saying that we are destined for each other. And to answer your other question, yes that is pretty much what I do in a nutshell. Of course I have to check in with our DWA representative here in the DWMA, though I can't give you their name as only Death and a few higher up officials in the DWMA need to know about them." He finished eating and sighed happily. "Unfortunately I have to move so much that it makes it difficult to get here all the time. There are times where I don't show up for weeks on end simply cause she stakes this place out. It's not that I don't like her, she just is obsessive to the point that I worry she would keep me under lock and key just to make sure I was hers and hers alone sometimes." He sighed, looking sad at this, his warm smile fading as he thought of how often he had to flee just to keep his freedom.
