Xavier sat there listening, amazed at what he was hearing.
"It was contained? Biological warfare?" He scoffed.
"So correct me if I'm wrong, the government used- I mean-
is going to use nuclear bombs to control the outbreak?
What is going to happen to the rest of us; who aren't infected?"

This seemed to enrage Xavier,
which was a surprise even to himself,
since he wasn't one to let his emotions show.
But, he figured, there really was nothing he could do.
So he decided to bring up another topic.

"Can you tell me about your time? What's it like... I mean, how is it different from now? And what planet do you live on?"
Xavier asked in a rush; with wide, curious eyes.

He felt like a young boy again, but he didn't mind. This was fascinating.
Before Prometheus began to speak, he took a glance to his right,
and saw Icarius and Coraline having a conversation of their own.
This surprised him, but he ignored it,
and turned back to Prometheus...

Prometheus smiled as Xavier misunderstood him and corrected him
gently, "No, that would be nuclear warfare. The military themselves didn't
release it, though, because that's where the infection started, if I recall
correctly, that is. I just know whoever did use it, used a biomechanical
means to destroy the infected, it had something to do with how the infections
changed their genetic make-up..."

Prometheus paused as Xavier asked him about his own time and thought for
a moment before he replied, "Well, I grew up on Earth, though it was a very
different place than here. We had tall silver buildings built up with bridges
between them so that we never actually really touched the planet's green
surface. There was not the population that we'd had at the turn of the
millenium because of various wars and plagues after the intitial infection, so
in our colony, we were quite a tight-knit group, though I suppose you would
more easily recognize the word 'city' to really describe the colonies. The
space program was established to enforce the Inner Alliance because the
Colartions and the Rebels from the Outer were trying to destroy all we had
built. Icarius and I were part of the Star Fighters, he is my Fighter and I'm his
Navigator. We are specialized in our fields... though Fighters are seen as
more expendable than Navigators."
He smiled slightly and shook his head,
knowing that his culture must be strange compared to Xavier's.

"Behold what I, a God, from Gods endure!
Look down upon my shame,
The cruel wrong that racks my frame,
The grinding anguish that shall waste my strength,
Till time's ten thousand years have measured out their length!"

As Coraline walked into the room she sat on the counter and put her axe by her side. She saw Prometheus and Xavier having a conversation of their own, so they were occupied.

Coraline leans back to the wall, putting her hands into her pockets. She sat there and sighed quietly. She was listening to Xavier and Prometheus conversation. She didnt mean to, there was just nothing else to do.

After she heard that a biomechanical nuke is going to be used to take out the infected she was shocked. How? She questions herself, perhaps a mad scientist had to invent that.

As she quietly listened she started to daydream. Which is bad thing, because every time she dose it leads to the fire... But this time she wasent thinking about that. She was wondering if those people that Xavier saw will come soon. She sighed softly and closed her eyes.

Jasmine Langdon

Looks startled at the new visitor, she breathes in, holding her breath. Who was this stranger? And what made her come here? She looks around at everyone else, trying to remain calm. Do NOT let your emotions go out of whack. You have to be strong. Do. Not. Mutilate the bodies. She bites her lip, scared.

Verra hummed. Just why wouldn't he accompany the pair to the scrapyard? It would enable him to find out its location and check out its contents, as well as provide some crucial bonding time, not to mention, more than likely, time to show off a bit. As in, prove to Tora that he wasn't an expendable.

"Sssafety in numbers, am I right?" He grinned at Bartholomew, licking his fangs. For a split second, he thought he caught movement out of the corner of his eye; however, when he whirled on the spot, there was nothing out of the ordinary. "Don't mind me, I'm just too damn jumpy," the alien offered, anticipating a question, and following Bartholomew out the door.

Verra wasn't really buying into the whole 'staying on the ground' thing, however; so, first chance the alien got, he crept up the bricks of one of the buildings lining their path, unblinking eyes seemingly fixed forward but in reality taking in almost 270 degrees of vision. "Let'sss wreck sssome zombie shhhit."

"Oh I like this guy, he's good." Tina said compairing the fact that, like her elder sister and herself, he shouted the name of his attack before or during said attack. "Oh yeah! Aunt Elle!" she exclaimed excitedly looking up the building bright eyed.

Elle, leaned over the building and fell off face first, only to flip around at the last second and land on her feet. "Desirae get down here!" she commanded looking up at her with a look of disappointment. "I need to talk to you two..." she continued crossing her arms and tapping her toe.

Desirae made it down from the building posthaste, she knew better than to make her aunt wait when she called with that tone of voice.

"Fall in!" Elle commanded after Desirae landed. After the two were lined up and stood in attention, Elle slugged them both across their jaws; "I thought I trained you two better than this! One of you alone should have been more than a match for this soft shelled abomination!" she scolded looking away from them in disgust. "You both know several different kinds of martial arts with both your fist and a weapon. You both have a body that can withstand blows from heat seeking missiles. You two have been fighting robots twice the size of that beast if not bigger! Tell me, even with civilians, why is it you can't take down that rotten filth?" Elle scolded like a drill instructor. A response wasn't heard from either girl.

After a moment tears welled up in the stern and calm woman's eyes as she broke down and gripped her nieces tightly in an embrace. "I'm so glad you two are alright! I was worried sick! After the scanners picked up mass amounts of worm holes and dimensional tears, I scoured every city that had a disturbance." she wept.

"Aunt Elle, we're so glad you're here! We knew you had to be here somewhere!" Desirae spoke with tears rolling down her cheeks.

"We're sorry we...were so.....weak." Tina said getting choked up fighting back tears and acting tough.

"Alright we can finish our tearful reunion later." Elle spoke collecting herself and wiping her eyes. "Now then, you two did well in memorizing where the arrows went, and you were correct. This wall is actually a door." Elle informed walking her was over to the wall and patting it. "How we get in depends on the person who runs these doors."

Sighing softly, Tora had to admit that this was… interesting. They were a happy little band going about the ruined city to get to some garbage. Alright, that made sense. But Verra was right, strange enough. There was strength in numbers. With the zombies that were always around, always reeking of rot and disgust, it made sense that they would keep together. The safe house would be fine as long as Bartholomew actually kept it that way. If it couldn’t hold up, then it wasn’t that damn safe, now was it?

Without looking at the others, she kept up with Bartholomew, her hand resting on her gun. Eyes scanning the place, she barely glanced up as Verra scaled the wall, seeming to either be running or looking out for the enemy. She hoped it was the latter, but it wouldn’t surprise her if it was the former. “Blondie… will your beast remain out and lumber about, or is it against drawing out attention?” Her eyes didn’t go back, but she had seen the beast following its master. In a fight, the thing was probably good to have, but surely the more bodies they had, even if it wasn’t something human, the worst they were. Strength only worked when stupidity didn’t get in the way.

The newcomer naturally startled Natalie as well. Surprised, she jumped to her feet—

And stumbled. She grabbed a hold of the edge of the table and closed her eyes, waiting for the dizziness to pass. A question, a foreboding one, burned at the back of her mind, but there wasn't time to deal with that at the moment. Really, though, she was surprised she hadn't had a heart attack with all these surprises lately.

"To what," she paused and took a deep breath, her thoughts sluggish now, "are you referring to? The zombie apocalypse or what I'm pretty sure is a bad horror movie about to happen with the creepy duo over here?"

A beat passed as she put the back of her hand to her forehead. Her skin felt slick and feverish, but she wasn't exactly sure what that meant. Where was Max when she needed him? And had the nurse and doctor always seemed that suspicious? See! This was why the St. James brothers were always so freaking paranoid around everyone. She really should've learned from them. "Ugh, I don't feel so good..."

Jasmine's eyes shoot over to Natalie, looking at her, "You don't look so good, maybe you should sit down..." Jasmine remembered the water she drank.. That must've been what the nurse put in it. All the excitement was startling that snapped her out of her miniscule drowsiness, only taking a sip, and her Mind Over Body helped too.

"Jasmine," Natalie whispered, leaning her full weight onto her hands now. "Get out. I don't..."

Her knees suddenly weak, she collapsed back into her chair and leaned her chin into her cupped hand. When she inhaled, her breath was fluttery as though she was truly exhausted. Whatever had been in the water must have been strong, if she was reacting this quickly on such a small dose. Then again, she wasn't exactly known for being strong. There was no doubt in her mind now—she'd been drugged. Why, she wasn't sure. Maybe the nurse and doctor were just being defensive in an overly-zealous kind of way. Maybe they were even good guys.

Or maybe they were batshit crazy.

"Dunno... if this... new woman is good or not, but leave. I'll be fine, just—it's okay," she lied, feeling so tired. Each time she blinked, her eyelids stayed closed for longer, and she wasn't sure if she could fight it off. Maybe the dose hadn't been that much? She just had to stay awake. "I'll be fine."

Resists the urge to get up and run. Obviously she wasn't feeling well, but why should she be in the mercy of two doctors that would do god knows what to her, she gets up the courage and says: "No. I'm not going anywhere. You saved me, you gave me a hope that someone was out there. I'm not letting you go to these.. These lunatics, now, the nurse seems like the doctor rides her a** the whole time" She says this so Natalie can hear, "Maybe, we could save the nurse. Get her away from everything. But, I doubt it if the doctor forces her to do anything..." This was very unlike her.. Her, Jasmine, trying to see the good in someone? But there was this feel of that the nurse sorta wanted to get away from time to time, it seems. She hasn't read a nervous wreck in a long time. And thats what the nurse seemed like-- a nervous wreck. Trying to survive.

"Which means I gotta stay awake," Natalie answered understandingly. The drowsiness was getting worse by the second, but she struggled against it. She could at least try. "If we make a run for it, I'm going to need a shoulder to lean on. Or, you know, someone to carry me."

She did, however, wonder if taking the nurse was such a good idea. Personally, the longer she saw the nurse and doctor, the more confused (and, okay, scared) she got about what was going on. They were clearly not as helpful as they'd appeared at first, offering food and rest and supplies, but she didn't know why. What if the doctor was the good one? Or, hell, what if they were both good and this was all a misunderstanding?

For heaven's sake, why could she read people better?! (Oliver would have had this all figured out ages ago, she thought wryly. Meanwhile, Max never would have wandered into such an obvious trap to begin with.)

She had to rely on Jasmine for this. Natalie was, after all, just a boring human. One who was currently teetering on the brink of unconsciousness.

Since the only answer she was given from any of the four was actually another question in return, she wasn't supplied with any information on just what she stumbled in to. However considering the circumstances simultaneously occurring as she busted through that vent. The jets subsided and she stood firm on the ground. After all she had entered just in time to see nurse schizo injecting the good doctor with a suspicious green filled syringe, not a very small one at that. Although the girl brave enough to speak chose to point out what she had gathered from the roof top. The undead was walking. What she was curious about was more based on if they had any reiatsu, and if so if they could apply it. If not she wondered the zombies means of attack and battle. This was a thought formation better to be reserved for another time. There was already far too much happening in front of her. She turned her attention from the staff to the girls as on delivered a sappy mono-log to the other before fainting dramatically. Hospital or not, even if her friend had left Solstice wouldn't have just abandoned her here; with those questionable figures.

Though she'd been suppressing it since she entered the world of the living Although this world was barren in life, the number of wholes wandering around were countless, many of them appeared mutated or mangled, in this kind of an environment she bet the hallow population would also be growing, it worried her.

She listened as the girls friend told her she wouldn't be leaving her, that could mean one of two things. A) she could keep the unconsious one out of danger, or B) if a battle starts, they'd both get in the way and be in danger. The latter was something she hoped wouldn't be the case, she shook her head. Above all else she really wish she understood the context of the situation at hand. She looked at the two, they were wary of her, and they had every right to be. "Listen" she said to the girl still awake. "I wont hurt you." She promised

Sydelle West

You're not a hero, you're a liar...

Sydelle watched Tora with interest. Sydelle having her own personal bodyguard never overly worried about zombies. She could hold her own when it came down to it as well. "He'll do what I say." There wasn't a trace of arrogance in her voice. She was arrogant about a lot of things, but this was a simple fact. "The complete obedience makes up for the stupidity well enough." The large amounts of muscle helped as well, but it did tend to slow him down.

Emmerah was glad she didn't have to breath, if she did it would have made wearing the dress very difficult. She'd have trouble removing it, and the side had split ever so slightly when she'd forced it on, but in the end she had made it fit.
Alright, now that I'm clothed, where can I find the living... She pondered the question for a moment I think I'll try the hospital.

With a small, sinister, smile on her face, she began to walk in the direction of the hospital.
