Well fine. If the zomboil she'd been hanging out with all day was going to keep treating her like she was a super suspicious probably working for the enemy traitor, then she would just deal with him later. If she felt like dealing with him at all. She was too distracted to try to dodge as the giant hands slammed down from above, but the barrier from before flared around her, and she just fell back into the snow - again. With a scowl, she stood, quickly brushing off the snow before it could melt. She was so sick of being soaked. Then the other zombie asked how she was doing. Since he had freed her from the thing above that had controlled her, Alex hadn't shown any sign of caring the same, and that was it. Slamming the butt of her weapon into the snow, she turned to the other boil - it took her a minute to remember, he had told her his name - and said, "I'm much better, Mort. It looks like attacking breaks those strings, and whatever control it has." She looked over at the two fog hands, and randomly pointed to one. "Probably a good idea. Any objection to that one?"Having hung around with a zomboil most of the day, she didn't wait too long for a reply. And, well... Maybe she was a bit angrier than she'd realized. At things in general, with a certain zomboil now becoming a convenient scapegoat for some of it. Regardless, she'd tried to take some of it out on the giant fog hands, but was so angry that she missed entirely. My HP: 26/30 (-5, but protected for 5) My Status: Freeeeeeee~ And a bit ticked off at Alex. (Probably) just a bit. My Target: Boss hands Damage Dealt: 0 Collective Damage to Boss: 106 Anything attacked/attackers should note: Mitzi is bruised, singed, covered in silver glitter, but is thankfully now free of that stupid string. biggrin

He turned as a rock flew past and plunked against the giant hand in front of him. West had kind of zoned out, so it was probably a good thing his attention had been grabbed. "WHAT?" he shouted, not immediately registering who had spoken, only that they'd interrupted whatever silent communing he was doing with the hand. Oh. Fine. As much as he still kind of hated to admit it, the tatzel had proven that she had the ability to have his best interests in mind when it was important, as long as he wasn't spitefully ruining her clothing. The demon took several steps back until he eventually ended up next to Levi. Xiu too. He couldn't help but feel slightly weird around the baku. Something about the way she looked at him... it was like she could see inside his head and knew something he didn't. "Uh, hey," he said to her in greeting, looking back at the hands in case they decided to try something.

Ahh, it was nice to be on solid ground again. She would have to thank Aymet again when they weren't, well, being attacked, but right now that had to focus on getting rid of that...um. That thing. To be honest, the baku wasn't entirely sure what the thing attacking them was, but it didn't take a genius to know that it was probably dangerous. They should probably go and attack it--
--what was West doing.
Xiu's expression was blank as she stared at the wrath demon for a few moments, and then she slid her questioning stare up at Levi. "Jiejie, why is your friend..." She trailed off as she caught sight of the rock in the tatzel's hand. Ooh, were they throwing rocks at the opponent now? Following suit, she picked up a decent sized stone from the ground and chucked it at the hands. It wasn't the most effective method, but at least they were (relatively) safe at this distance.
When West moved back to where she and Levi stood, the baku blinked up at the boil with a pleasant expression on her face. At least, it was supposed to be a pleasant expression--though it had not been her intention, Xiu's smile looked a little suspicious, and maybe even knowing. Or maybe it just looked kind of blank. Whatever the case, she looked up at him in silence for a few moments before piping up with a, "Hello again. How are you holding up?"
My HP: 40/40 My Status: Uncontrolled My Target: Boss Damage Dealt: 1 Collective Damage to Boss: 107

ouo; Well then. Mort scratched the back of his head as the reaper took off without either of them to try and combat one of the foggy hands. "Christmas? N-No," he answered Alex, dusting a little bit of snow off the poor boil (and contracting some glitter for his helping hand). A wipe on his pants did little to get rid of it. "Dun think so, least . . . Other stuff? Kinda."
After all, Mort's first ever anything at the school had been the haunted house and, well . . . That had been something.
"Is part've bein' Halloween, methinks. A-Always be ready." It was the only sane he could come to, at least. "N' also methinks should be mkay with . . . Mitti?" he asked for clarification, revealing his tendency to get names wrong on the first go around. "Ghouls're f-funny things. N-Never know what be think. Should be mkay."
If not, well, there were worse things one could deal with during these times than one foul-tempered reaper.
"Stick together, w-will be 'kay." He gently clasped the zomboil's shoulder to get him moving forward along with him, relocating Mitzi's tense form stabbing into the fog. Not far from her, and a lot easier to see, was . . . a still rainbow-saturated ghoul seeming to be staring at something? Nothing? "You good o-over there?" he called as the zombies shuffled their way forward at that good ol' fashioned zombie pace.HP: 30/30 (HERP DERP FORGOT ABOUT THE BARRIER, which negated damage) Status: Aiding Xander to get to Mitzi and possibly startling the witch Appearance: Hood up, right hand slightly glittery

Always be ready. Seemed like sound advice, especially considering Alex's experiences at the school so far. "Mitzi." He clarified for the other boil, though he had no answer for him on the funniness of ghouls. "She helped me and a friend a lot today, she seems like a good ghoul.." He watched as she stormed off, clearly angry about something, attacking the fog creatures hand. Had Alex done that? He'd have to learn to hide his thoughts and emotions better. He nodded to the boil about the sticking together sentiment, quickly falling into step with him as they moved along towards the Reaper ghoul and...what the Jack was with so many of the students covered in rainbow, anyways? Not that Alex could really talk...he was covered in glitter, after all. This rainbow zombie ghoul looked very sad, and lost, however, and he added his own voice to that of Morts. "Hey! You there! Are you alright?" HP: 24/30 Status: Uncontrolled Target: - Damage Dealt: - Collective Damage to Boss: 107 Anything attacked/attackers should note: Shirtless, glitter, bedraggled and being led around by Mort. Startling a witch perhaps?

There was so much going on and Rain had been lost in it all. She was bumping into things constantly and she wasn't even sure all of them were students. The fog certainly hadn't helped and she had glitter all in her hair. It was a complete mess! She was sure she looked like some lost and confused pretty princess. As if that weren't bad enough, she couldn't find her friend! Shine was in this mess somewhere and it worried her. While the ghoul was a fighter and tough as nails when pushed, she had a way of worrying and being afraid. Shine was the biggest worrier she had ever known and it was her job to calm her. "Shine," she called off and on as she weaved through the crowed. Occasionally she would have to crawl on the ground to get around someone, causing the glitter to stick to her hands and knees as well. Zombies were not made to sparkle but alas, she was on a mission to find Shine and that was more important than being uncomfortable. My HP: 40/40 My Status: Uncontrolled My Target: - Damage Dealt: - Collective Damage to Boss: 107 Anything attacked/attackers should note: Most likely crawling on the ground looking a mess.

"Thank you." Needle breathed out; if Petro trusted this someone, then she would too. Ink stained hands lifted to gently rest against Petro's wrists after a moment of enjoying the weight of his hands on her shoulders, but the offhandly affectionate gesture was short lived. "I agree with your friend, Petro. Do not do anything foolish..." She needed him, Lattice needed him, she could assume Petro did in some way as well. Plus, if anyone was going to leave a mark on the Tikbalang, it would be her.
"Sheridan, I presume?" The usually stoic Ghost gave the dragon's shape a smile shortly after her little threat. "It is a pleasure." Her head bowed, never forgetting her manners. When she felt that the proper etiquette had been shown under the circumstances, she turned her attention to try and see through the chaos to see the shapes from the beast. "What...is that?" Needle's HP: 30/30 Status: Uncontrolled Target: n/a Damage Dealt: n/a Collective Damage to Boss: n/a Anything attacked/attackers should note: Needle is standing with Petro and Sheridan

With the nagging voices dancing precariously in her head, Shine didn't really take notice to the first voice that called to her. It was nothing more than a slight irritation - someone speaking too loudly next to her, which she hated, but everything else on her mind took precedence. The second voice, however, was slightly closer, happening to interrupt a particularly convincing internal murmur. Had she been thinking clearly, her reasoning not muddied by more doubts and insecurities than normal, she would have been touched that the other undead students cared. But she wasn't. She wailed in frustration and sharply turned to face the zombie, glowing eyes flashing. Without any hesitation, she lunged to attack the other student's exposed chest, images of her claws tearing through him buzzing through her thoughts, egging her on. The claw on one of her extended fingers just barely scraped against sternum when she came to a halt. ShineHer eyes stopped glowing and her hands dropped to her sides. She looked like she might just continue her silent stroll to nowhere, but her strides were visibly more purposeful this time. Slightly shrouded by the fog, she didn't stop until she reached a crawling form, kneeling directly in its path. why are you bothering she doesn't care it's all a joke you don't belong here you don't belong with her stop thinking of happy things stop it she's not your-" My Rain," she said softly, insistent against the nagging voices and chiming music. She wrapped her arms around her, head leaning against her shoulder, eyes half-lidded. "Did...not-candy machines hurt you?" she asked, taking note of the glitter and her lack of upright stance. HP: 22/30 Status: uncontrolled Target: - Damage Dealt: - Collective Damage to Boss: 107 Anything attacked/attackers should note: Shine is calming down! (Also I promise she isn't going to ignore you guys, she just needs a minute. XD)

Riley climbed out of the snowbank after snuggle time, but she left Malodore to rest there, and brushed all of the snow off of her body. Her skin was tight and covered in goosebumps from the cold, and she rubbed her legs down vigorously before finally looking back up at the boss.
I suppose I should at least try to be a little helpful, shouldn't I, dear? She murmured with less than acceptable enthusiasm, and flared her wings out sharply. Ah, well. Hold my spot, I'll be right back.
She would have told it to keep her spot warm, but, well, you know.
Riley hovered up into the air, shaking only slightly, and the crystals embedded in her back pinched as they pulled away, and a wave of purple shot violently at the boss in the air. Over and over her psionic crystals multiplied and hurled towards the monster, driving into it's core.HP: 29HP Damage to boss: 18HP Boss is currently at: 11HP

Taryn turned to face the ghoul that had just joined her and swallowed hard. Finally, someone she knew who hadn't disappeared in the battle! Something was different, though, where had she just--?
"What?!" How did she not know?! Alright, where to begin... keep it quick! "Christmas was attacking, but all of the creatures got corrupted by Insanity and then turned into fog which turned into this and it's controlling some students and attacking all the rest and-- just attack it!" The chimera breathed and turned to see Roch limp in. She ran to him and offered him an arm without asking, wrapping it around him to help him walk. "You were hurt badly?!"HP: 25/30 Status: Uncontrolled Target: n/a Damage Dealt: n/a Collective Damage to Boss: ---

Danny saw Roch limping only a moment before Taryn did, but the chimera ghoul acted faster than her. As Danny shouted, "Roch-" Taryn was already darting out and wrapping her arm around him. Danny's face twisted in a bit of confusion. How'd the ghoul move so damn fast? ... And when did they become so close?
The fire demmoness didn't think much of it though. After all, she was just helping Roch up. Danny would've done the exact same thing. Well anyone would've done the exact same thing. Well most people, right? You didn't just leave an injured person limping after all. It was just kind of weird to see Roch so close with anyone. After all, he was incredibly awkward whenever it came to hugs with her (Danny), so seeing him wrapped around Taryn ... too weird. Maybe it was just because he was her best friend, and she wasn't used to that.
Meh oh well. Danny raced after her, but didn't really know what to do with herself. After all, Taryn was already helping him up and asking him what happened so ... she didn't really have much to do. Sort of awkwardly, but also on edge, she said, "Uhh. What she said. What the Jack happened to you?"

Roch grinned, holding out his other arm for Danny to come as well. "I am jacking FREEZING," he told them. "Flying is a blast, did you know that? I got tossed up by the lion chick over there, then I took a ride on the back of the bony dragon guy in a skirt--before he got the frilly outfit, and I shadowstepped down, but landed a bit hard, that's all." He looked them both over with a hint of worry. "You two are okay, right?"

Where Danny was constantly flaming, Taryn would have had to exhale to help. She continued to support Roch, but didn't make that move lest she accidentally light him on fire. There was warm, and there was too warm.
"I'm fine. Got hit when those hands came down, Jackin' scared out of my wits and lost our scarf, but I'm okay." She turned then to Danny, expecting her response.
