The attacks were best, ineffectual, the creature groaning as it turned around, bits and pieces of blackened skin peeling off to reveal more layers of bones and uneven flesh underneath. It swerved its head, only the head, and exhaled, black, stifling smoke covering the entire expanse. BOSS BATTLE ROUND 2 BOSS BATTLE: 82 HP- This is a boss fight! - If you don't know how to battle check out the battling mechanics and information!. - Hunters can only used their charged ability after the have gained three charges - You can only get one attack per GM round/phase- Before you attack, ROLL A 6-sided dice. If odd, you take 10 damage from the smoke/corrosive poison. If you roll even you cannot see clearly (even through the mask) and end up hitting the player before your post for the dice amount rolled. (Ie: I rolled even, 6, I do six damage to the person who posted above me. OR I roll odd, 3, I take 10 damage but can still attack). - If you DID NOT get an attack in last round, skip last round and move to this one - You can have unlimited rp reactions, but once again ROLL ONLY ONCE PER ROUND.

"s**t, it's moving again guys! Be careful!" Cass warned to the two with her, but almost immediately started to cough and wheeze through it, nearly collapsing as she pulled her jacket up over her nose to try and regain herself.
"s**t! Try to not breathe that stuff in, guys!" She added, her lungs burning like she'd just walked into the smoker's section of the airport as a child. Smoker's in a box. Ugh. It felt like death, but she gripped her weapon tightly anyways to move again.HP: 30/40

It didn't seem like his attack had done much. Then, hearing Cass's warning, he looked around. It was too late. Deryk was too close to the beast. That aside, it was really hard to dodge smoke. He ended up inhaling a good lungful of the stuff, causing him to cough a few times violently.
The creature was still pretty visible within his line of sight, though.
HP: 30/40
Status: Able to attack!

Madison was about to reply to Sherry when the creature hissed again, spewing out a gout of thick black smoke. She coughed; something about the smoke seemed to get through the filters in the mask, making her throat burn. "We have to stop it-" She didn't want to end up a body in a bag! With a flash of light, the reassuring weight of Kouki's blades materialized around her waist. She drew two blades at once and stumbled forward; a shadow loomed ahead of her and she flailed at it desperately. ... Too bad it wasn't the monster. HP: 30/40 Target: Derryk (woops) Damage: 6

Ryan choked when the poisonous smoke reached him. It would have been smarter to leave the mask on, but not being able to see crap all wasn't helping the situation much either.

Before he knew it, Deryk felt something hit him from behind. Letting out a cry of pain, he glanced behind but couldn't see who or what had done it. This one creature was the only enemy here right? He really hoped that was just a stray spine or something along those lines.
Wincing, he slashed out at the beast once more.

Cass remained planted by her two 'wards' she'd taken up, the gunblade at one side and shooting at it with the gun in her other hand, face serious. Never the less, however, it seemed with all of the fog and haze going on she couldn't see it, never the less hit it.

The smoke and whatever the ******** this thing was breathing out was not good for anyone. From what he was hearing, people were hitting each other, and some were just getting to inhale... crap-
Not good. Coughing, Marcus was able to make out the monster, but- his lungs burned.

Staggering around some the huntress all but glared at the monster, clearly the creature was hell bent on adding to its gory collection... We can not have that now can we? Attack it! I know i know shut up ok? Ceres mentally grumbled at the sword. Pulling Takeru out from her hip holster, she started forward to attack... She blinked when the monster started to do something, her grip on Kintama tightening as her muscles tensed. She wasn't ready for what happened next, however, and even through her mask, she coughed at whatever she was inhaling, doubling over.

So Minerva already lost her partner? That wasn't fun. Aleister frowned and had been looking behind them since Cass mentioned watched your back and she had the front so...... He heard the watch out and looked forward again wishing he hadn't.... because he got a mouth full of the gas and started hacking. " Oh man... I wish we.... had those gas masks.... from the trial back." He manged to choke out and attempting to duck below the smoke. This was getting painful fast. HP: 20/40

Crying out as another hunter hit him, Marcus heard Dis in his head, urging him to ignore the pain and keep at it. Charging at the monster, He felt the blade connect but didn't see the damage., wincing as the smoke burned him from the inside.  HP: 24

When she actually stopped coughing from whatever it was that she had inhaled, she managed to somehow move away from the rest of the team in order to swing her weapon at the monster that was currently attacking them, feeling it connect with her target.
She hated to admit it, but it was true... And she hated it.

Tedan was eyeing the monster as they all attacked it, wondering if anything they were doing was hurting it at all ... when suddenly, it belched out a cloud of really foul smelling smoke.
Coughing a bit, the dark-haired hunter managed to escape the worst of it somehow, but now he couldn't see very well. Still, when a dark shape loomed up in front of him, he swung at it without thinking - not realizing it was one of his own teammates.
