Once outside of the manor, Karuta was sure to close up the secret entrances before walking at a slower pace until they were completely off of Oogie's grounds and headed towards the Hinterlands where all the Holiday Doors were. She smiled and walked closer to Ryou's side.

Ryou quickly wound his arm under her right arm placing his forearm against the back of her waist, pulling her into his side as they walked.

Karuta smiled as she rested her head gently against his shoulder. Once in the Hinterlands, they headed through the door that was marked with the Christmas Tree for Christmas Town. The temperature dropped quickly as they entered the snowy grounds. Karuta pulled the black coat tighter around herself as they entered the snow.

Ryou pulled Karuta tighter into his side, rubbing her side gently with his whole hand, leaning his head on hers. The temperature drop didn't seem bother him all that much.

Karuta stayed close to Ryou and shut her eyes, humming quietly. "You know, compared to some of the other places, Christmas Town is much more welcoming other than the fact that it's cold."

"Well, it is snowing. And there are a lot of bright cheery looking lights." he said, gently kissing the top of her head.

Karuta rolled her eyes and giggled softly, looking up at him. "Well since it's Christmas here, we can see what sort of gifts they make here. Maybe we can find something for one another~"

Karuta looked at the shuriken-cross and tilted her head slightly, resting her fingers on the metal pendant. "Where'd you get this anyways? It's gotta mean something to you, right?"

"It's the only thing I have left of my parents. I don't even really know them, but this is what they left me." he said, a solemn look coming over his face.
