That laughter certainly shut her up, when she got back on the pillars. Freya looked all the more determined to get to the ninja, and she managed to do it - but the tags were just too quickly pulled away for her this time.

Astra felt herself getting tired and annoyed already with the ninja's 1337 speed. She got up again to chase after him, aiming to jump on one of the pegs nearby...
..but ended up flace planting herself into a peg instead

Herryk was more than slightly miffed that he wasn't able to get a tag this time. He was close, so, so very close and yet that tag dangled just out of reach.
A low, guttural growl rumbled up from his throat. Well, at least he hadn't tripped or fallen that time... just too slow. Too slow, Herryk. You lose.

Once again, Hel lunged, and didn’t even come close! She had a feeling though, that if she had managed to get close enough, she would have tore a tag right off of that ninja! Oh Jack, the frustration at missing was like running through Terror Warrior all over again!

The praise made her feel a little better, but Astra would of felt much better if she could grab herself a tag.

At last, sweet victory! Not only had he nabbed himself a tag, but it had been the most majestic thing. With every bit of power he could muster, muscles flexing -- nay, bulging -- as he leapt for the tag that the ninja dangled before him, he snatched a tag.
Winning.
He glanced at Freya with the smuggest face, only to watch her nab a tag of her own.
Smugface meltdown in 3... 2... 1...

Freya was far too determined to get the tag, so when her sister disappeared off the pillars, she barely spared it a glance. She was going to check up on her, just.. first..
Damn, Herryk got a tag! Look at that smug face.. it was almost enough to keep her from snatching her own tag.
Almost.
She held it up, smugly, and made kissing noises.

Herryk could move remarkably quickly when properly motivated; the ninja was almost startled. Freya's simultaneous swoop snagged her a tag as well, and the ninja chuckled as he bounded away, very pleased with these students.
... Hel's faceplanting was politely ignored. She would recover her feet, or she wouldn't.

FINALLY.
Freya could claim Hel once more!
The reaper leapt back up to her feet, shook her head vigorously as if to clear and shake away all the fail she’d been experiencing thus far, and zeroed in on the ninja. “Gardyloo!” The valkyrie wailed as she lunged at him, and could only grin widely as she nabbed herself a tag. “Yes!” She cheered, pumping a fist into the air as she flapped her wings and landed on one of the poles.

It looked as though she didn't even need to check up on her sister, because there she was snatching a tag of her own! Freya was swollen with pride. So swollen, that she was too slow and couldn't even make it to the ninja.

It might've been the smugface meltdown that caused Herryk to falter at this point. It might've been other distractions, the pretty girls? The fact that Freya was winning? It was hard to say. (It was probably Freya winning).
Herryk made a grand leap, only to have a gust of wind blow his long flowing locks into his eyes.
Ouch. Swing and a miss.

Astra wasn't having a very good time with this. She was able to get onto the poles, but it was taking a lot of effort for her to jump from each pole, and it was really slowing her down. As a result, she wasn't able to keep up with the ninja

It seemed that the small valkyrie had, indeed, recovered; perhaps motivated by previous clumsiness, she too got close enough to take a tag.
Two tags remaining; the students were succeeding more quickly than he'd expected. Training or natural ability? Either way, they were doing well.
