The Punk Rock Princess Giesta Sure if you like post it for me. 3nodding ( I know wheat and all other plants need a water source around them, and good sunlight.) I guess I would like to ask, as far as Cacti go they only need sand for soil to grow on and water & sunlight to grow? They just need sand. 3nodding And can't be planted adjacent to each other. This is a design I found and changed a little bit for convenience's sake, it optimizes the growth of wheat so you get as much as possible quickly as possible. The "T" squares are Torch blocks, I put them on cobblestone, and the "W" blocks are water holes I dig down one and put a stone slab over in order to be able to walk on it. whee Okay, but there isnt any picture if it was supposed to have been?

Giesta neato, so the entire area other than where the water hole is and the torch is all wheat planted, so you have to use a hoe right to make the soil where you can use seeds? Yes. biggrin And recently, they changed it so that you don't trample them unless you jump in the field, so it works better. The idea of the water and the torches placed like that is so that everything is moistened and lit at all times without wasting too much space. The outer edge is where you would want to put fences. ^^

Thank you that does help, so I dont necessarily have to have water touching the entire row of the wheat or that matter for every plant? just near enough to touch most of the blocks where they are planted?

The watermelons, pumpkins, and wheat don't need to touch water. Sugarcane has to be adjacent though. 3nodding

This is a simple one though for you and I think I know the answer but I wanted to make sure, when you use TNT you can set it off with a line of red-stone and a switch or just a swith or pressure plate you can just hit it like people used to?

You can't hit it anymore, but if you're quick you can use a flint and steel in much the same way, or you can use redstone. A line of it and a switch works, a redstone torch works, as long as it has heat. Anyway, it was nice talking to you about Minecraft! Have a good night!

I see, since flint and steel is for fire correct? ^^ And I guessed a red-stone and switch would work what times Ive seen TNT used safety it was with a switch and red-stone but I havent yet seen some that used a flint and steel though I bet it is fun to watch. lol Thanks for all of the Info, and you dont mind if I remember later to ask I could ask you a bit more? And Thank You again. ^8^

(Hopefully not that bad for you.) sweatdrop I would to, it would get boring eventually to be by myself all the time. 3nodding
